References

Did you notice that every game has at least one reference to another TTG game? Leonard from S&M is Boris Knickle from Telltale texas hold 'em. Not to mention the poker table in ep 102 in the Midtown Cowboys Set. In SBCG4AP there are several photo backdrops and the Max and Crossbones Shirt..

There are also some references to Hit the Road and a couple Lucas Arts games in Sam & Max, I believe.
I like the references. It makes me feel like the characters know something we don't. And it kind of adds an air of mystery to them.

Telltale certainly isn't the first company ever to throw references from one of their game series into another game series. It's funny when you recognize them, though, and I'm sure the designers/programmers love to do it. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, of course! (Let's not have any CSI games where they come to conclusions based on dog and rabbit tracks....)

LOL! I for one think that would be awesome, of course it would have to fit into the plot properly, but still, it would be awesome!

I remember in Season One, there was a reference to Monkey Island. Now, I'm not sure where this joke started, but I've heard it a few times now. Guybrush said "I'm selling these fine leather jackets" in the Curse of Monkey Island, and then Sam said "Do you have any... fine leather jackets?" when you ask Bosco the "Do you have any..." question. I can't remember which episode this was in.

Indy said it LONG before Guybrush did.

Yep, Indy said it first, though actually I think those games were only released about a year apart.

Wow. I was thinking the exact same thing.

Just out of curiosity, do any of the SBCG4AP games have any references to Bone? I'm just askin'.

At least one of the photo booth backgrounds is from a Bone game.

    Talking about references...
...in "A Vampyre Story" there is a Max silhouette in one of the puszzles, and there is a couple of jokes about green and purple tentacles ;)
