S+M Season 2 DVD game won't load

I was trying to test out my Season 2 DVD to see if it'd work better when it's running on a disc instead of a hard drive. I clicked on the "Install Now" button and then it froze. I turned on the Task Manager and I had to force it to end in order to get the window off. A message then popped up that said that Autorun Maestro is not working. Is this application necessary to play my game? Or am I going to need to free up some space on my hard drive?

If it's any help, I'm running on Vista.

    Have you tried just running setup.exe on the disc itself?

    Yes, I did, and after I had a small walk around the neighborhood, it was working perfectly. Apparently, I'm pretty impatient. ¬_¬
