Ya where did they go? I just came back to the forums like 2 weeks ago and I haven't seen some people who used to be here like GOUSTTT, Vivalalee, and saltlick305.
Yeah, I remember the golden age. When the meme and fun thread wasn't hidden, when there were awesome discussions, and GOUSTTTT was king of the gifs, good times.

i don't know the carly threads were about as bad.
i used to joke to myself and once in a topic that this forum was turning into bsn well look what happend now.
It's kind of different now but it can be like before, theres a lot of fights sometimes and it's easy to get caught in them, i'm usually quiet but today I got pissed, we just need to know each other, be friendly, and we should respect other people points of view (as long as those points of view are not trolls stuff) i'ts easy to get annoyed by trolls and dislikes but they doesn't matter, old members, new members if we act together we can return this forum it's glory.
I've been on this forum since 2009 and boy has it changed A LOT. Before TWD blew-up, this forum was inhabited by fans of Adventure Games both old and new. That community and Telltale were on pretty good terms until BTTF released. Many disliked the game's simplistic puzzle and gameplay; some calling it a joke, others just "wasted potential." Things didn't get much better when Jurassic Park was released, with a very limited sum of gameplay amounting to nothing more than a "QTE simulator." To say "no one liked it" would be an understatement.
There was still a silver lining at the end of the tunnel though, with the announcement of TWD, Fables, and King's Quest back in early 2011; there was still hope for some that Telltale would go back to their old Adventure Gaming roots. April of 2012 and TWD is released! While some are upset with it's a linear nature those voices were outnumber by the sheer number of people who loved the choice and consequence aspect of the game.
Disappointed, the only hope for the small but noble Adventure Game fans had was King's Quest. However their hopes were crushed when they heard that the IP has been given up back to Activision.
The real tragic part is that Telltale couldn't be bothered, for whatever reason, to make the announcement of the game's cancellation on their own blog or website. They acted as if never happened, and the only place you could find out about the IP loss was from other gaming outlets. This, I believe, was the final straw for some of them, and most of them just never came back. Whether they were offended by Telltale's lack of a response on King's Quest, or simply they weren't interested in what Telltale was doing anymore. So most of them left and sought refuge over at the Double Fine forums. Some of them still lurk around and post sparsely from time to time, but it's definitely not as close-knit of a group as it was before.
Well that turned out 3x longer than I wanted it to be. I'm not sure why I even bothered writing all that, half of the people reading won't care, and the other half will just point out how wrong I am. (I'm sure I'm leaving out important details here and there. Sorry, I'm far too tired to fact-check.) Long story short, Gaming Forums change all the time. Some people stay and others move on. For all we know all those "Old Timey" Forum Members might flock back here in truckloads if Telltale announces a S&M Season 4. Things change, people leave, life goes on. It's nothing new, especially with the elaborate history of this forum as I described above
You make it sound like we are all like the original season 1 group back at the Motor Inn. Not sure if the comparison was intentional, but I think it fits.
I'm not leaving too SOON, my friend. I'll always be around here posting random gifs and talking about the past and random shit. How about you, how have you been?

While I admit there are a lot of threads of people who are being idiots (lee is alive/ nick is gay), I really don't think much has changed. … moreThe forums are only good for 2 weeks after the episode comes out while it is fresh in everyones mind, than you see more and more of those threads. However, it still is a good place to discuss the game (if not the only place) so Viva Walking Dead Game Community!
Isn't GOT fanbase mostly preteens? Like girls who use tumblr? Because I see alot of that stuff on there, and if you are expecting decent peo… moreple, let me tell you to get prepared for the worse. If you think THIS is bad and how people react to deaths (me) - expect way worse and alot of more petitions and death threats.
Why is everyone acting like this place used to have some code of honor. It's a fucking video game forum site for gamers. Haven't we all lear… morened by now that gamers can be very unpredictable? I mean Christ if the people here bother you so bad then don't associate with them. I laugh at the constant flame wars, "Lee isn't dead" theories, and disappointed fans. It's gamers ACTING like gamers.

I wasn't around at that time but I have been on some forums
and its always the same the sequel gets bashed for the same mistakes that the previous also had
trolls and haters take over the forums and good people leave or just aren'T that vocal
whereas haters bitch and whine everyday
Everyone there is a dick, well... not you... just some people... like this kid called Domislive, made an account, he makes YouTube videos on GTA, and when he shared a video on there everyone was calling him stuff and the mods didn't do shit.
What happened? Telltale got popular, and that attracts a lot of people, meaning it attracted more people who shouldn't be allowed to tie their own shoe laces, lest they accidentally hang themselves.

In one sentence: Shit changed, yo. Happens to individuals and communities alike all the time.
Pretty good I just came back to the forums after being gone for awhile so its awesome to be back
Yes, it's great to have some old people back again. It feels peaceful.
The theory that nick is gay is really not in the same league of stupidity as thinking lee is alive.
Like, the former is actually possible.
Every fan I saw of GoT wasn't a Supernatural fan or MLP fan.. so I doubt that.. xD
You make gamers seem like idiots..
I'm guessing you wasn't here during season 1? it was a discussion bliss.. xD
Finally some good news..
Funny enough.. I was thinking that the entire time writing this thread..
are you sure there's ... No Time Left ?
Downvotes happened. #FuckDownvotesStreet
Yeah, and there's No Going Back to how the community once was. We're now Amid The Ruins of it.
