nicknames

So I recently started back at school and get to see my friends again. I've given them all nicknames since they started calling me Felix. My friends new names are, Thai (pronounced ty), rev. ( Reverend), and Mitch. So, who have you given nicknames to?

  • I've never had a nickname, people just call me by my last name. I have a friend who we call Chopper because he used to always kick peoples ankles when we played football.

  • Hmm, interesting.

  • Well, technically Max is a nickname, because my full name is Maxwell (everyone assumes Max is short for Maximillion)

Most of my friends IRL call me Blind Max too. :D

  • Well at least your friends don't call ya Felix. Haha. But cool :)

  • My neighbor has a cat named Felix. He's always lounging around our porch and scaring the dog. XD

  • Nothing's wrong with Felix, it just didn't have anything to do with my real name.

  • I used to have a cat named Felix, it hated me. I don't think any of my friends would know that though.

  • My parents used to call me Johnny Bravo a lot, while my cousins called me Johnny Test - mainly because of how my first name was John. Before all that they simply called me Johnny or Johnny Boy, and they still do actually.

  • Cool. I remember those shows.

  • Most of the nicknames I've given to people were coworkers. I'd probably get banned if I listed them.

  • Oh. Well then.

Everyone in my family calls me Goob. Have as long as I can remember....not sure why to be honest.

  • Hmm. That's like the time my friends called me Q

  • my first name is short so it doesn't lead to any nicknames but my last name is long so it makes a lot of nicknames. All of them are hurtful. I won't say what they are but they will stay with me for a long time. If you decide to make a nickname for someone stop and ask that person what THEY think. trust me not everyone likes what you turn into a joke. I am not telling off the person who made this thread I am just sharing my point of view.

stick and stones will break my bones but words hurt forever

  • I don't really have a nick name except drunk,. I however have this thing i do with women, whenever i decide i want to have "relationship of some sort" with one, i will take their name and add the word bear to it. JulieBear, Amandabear, Whateverhernameisbear,

Trust me it works every time.

  • My gran had a cat named Felix. He died.

  • I get called "slut" by my male classmate who once threatened to rape me. Does that count?

In all seriousness I get called Lexie.

  • I thought you were Clover. Or am I mixed up again?

  • My friends practically call me anything that starts with an R.

  • No, I am. I get called both. Usually I use Clover as a substitute for my name, but it was also what my best friend called me.

  • I agree, not all nicknames are nice and it should be brought to mind if it will hurt someone.

  • Well, I'm sorry for the rudeness of this classmate of yours and I hope it gets better in time.
