You fight like a cow!!!

Some people on this forum might be pleased to hear that I gave monkey island a second chance! And so far, I LOVE the game! As the title suggests, I have reached the part With the "sword fighting", (yes, quotes were necessary) which I am trying for the First of the Three Trials. Good News: I found a new favourite game! Bad news: Said game will not see any more official sequels. Although there is already several sequels, so I shouldn't worry. :)

Soooo, to prevent locking, I need to give something for people to discuss. Post your favourite game in the series! (and maybe your favourite lucasarts game too)

Actually, I saw this in grumpy gamers RSS. Yes, I was subscribed to Grumpy Gamer BEFORE I liked monkey island. Maniac Mansion 1 was just that awesome!

Yes...yes it was. Those shoes are awesome. I'd like a pair for display purposes. Can't say I'd actually wear them though.

My favorite game in the Monkey Island series was the 3rd one. I haven't been able to find LeChuck's Revenge, though. I really didn't like the 4th one, because of the 3D stuff, but the 3rd one was good, storyline and everything. And what was with Elaine's voice? She didn't even have an accent in the 4th one!

I think that the 3rd one was the best. I feel it captured the adventure and humor of the game perfectly, and I really enjoyed the look of it!

That said, I'd have to say the LeChuck's Revenge was my favorite. I just had aton of fun playing that one. Plus there were alot of outside influences to affect my decision. I played it during a time in my life when I really needed an escape from reality and the friends I was playing with also really enjoyed the game. We sat around making up our own voices for the characters and cracking each other up!

I remember that we did that a lot as well... even more with "Day of the Tentacle" (before the talkie-version was released).

Didn't the floppy version have voices at the beginning?
