Am I the only one who thinks this film looks pretty good?

Now that I look at it some more, it's starting to look like a post-apocalyptic Little Big Planet. It still looks cool, though.

hmm, it looks like it has some steampunk modeling there. Also everyone looks like Ragdoll, neat!

I'm a fan of animation, so I think it looks nice. And the fact that the music in the trailer is Coheed and Cambria is an added plus.

Haven't seen anything for this one before; looks pretty freakin' sweet. Too bad it's another 6 months 'til it comes out, though...

OMG!!!! Most definetly! My best friend and i have been checking everyday for updates!!!! But it is reminiscent of the acclaimed sackboy of awesomeness........... But really, the same year as coraline?>?! if they are 1 and the same in terms of content ( which it is actually gonna be worse) than movie at least PG-13 which could turn away parents who are interested.

The original 9 (a short film that this is a remake of) came out in 2005, long before LittleBigPlanet. Not sure what Tim Burton is gonna bring to the table, or how it'd benefit from being feature-length.

yeah. my heart was in my throat the whole time. The stuff of legends.

And there's also the director of Wanted producing with Burton.

I just really hope they won't decide to release this film in 3D.

Belive me, your hopes shall be shattered. I, for one, WANT to see it in 3-D.

Saw the trailer to this when I went to see Coraline. Looks interesting. I'll probably see it at some point.
Oh, and after looking up the original short, I have to wonder... why is there the audio of a porno in the background?

How do you know there's the audio of a porno in the background?

I dunno. I loved Nightmare, but I think this may be due to Burton's limited involvment? I don't like any other Burton films at ALL(though Vincent and Frankenweenie at least have nice animation), so I don't know how much I can anticipate this movie.

On the other hand, I like post-apocolyptic settings(Fist of the North Star, Fallout, various novels), so that's one point. And the characters look cool, and that's another.

I found it on YouTube. Somebody pointed it out in the comments, and I couldn't not hear it after that.

Well, I don't think they will, on account they've already released a 3D film this year (Coraline). If it were in 3D, I just wish they won't try to be as gimmicky as possible. That's the promblem with all of these 3D films these days. I'm just hoping it's just a fad and will die out soon.

Okay, good, cause I was about to say...

These days? 3D films have been gimmicky for decades.

Well, look at Up. It doesn't look too gimmicky and it still is telling a story while using 3D, instead of blatantly hitting you over the head with "THIS FILM HAS 3D IN IT OMG OMG OMG" like most films do.

To be fair, Coraline mostly managed to do it rather elegantly, I thought.
There were a few blunt 'popping out at you' scenes, but for the most part it just gave things a sense of depth.
