(1) What is Hector: Badge of Carnage?
Hector: Badge of Carnage is a raunchy episodic adventure game developed by Straandlooper Animation, that follows a detective inspector named Hector as he tries to save the English town of Clappers Wreake from a crazed terrorist.
(2) So Hector: Badge of Carnage was developed by Straandlooper? What was Telltale's role?
Hector: Badge of Carnage was the first series where Telltale acted in a role as a publisher. Straandlooper developed and published the first episode on iPhone themselves. After it was released, Telltale contacted the people at Straandlooper and offered to port the game to other platforms by way of their in-house Telltale Tool engine, and offered their help with making episodes two and three. For the final two episodes, Telltale designers Dave Grossman and Mark Darin were involved in design and script editing.
(3) What is gameplay like?
This game was released before the cinematic story games such as The Walking Dead, so the gameplay doesn't consist of choices and consequences. The gameplay consists of puzzles which are mostly solved through manipulating objects and talking to characters.
(4) For which platforms is Hector: Badge of Carnage available?
Hector: Badge of Carnage is available for PC, Mac, and iOS.
(5) How much does Hector: Badge of Carnage cost?
The entire season can be purchased for PC and Mac and at the Telltale store for $20. The prices for other platforms vary.
(6) How many episodes are there in Hector: Badge of Carnage?
There are three episodes. The episode titles are We Negotiate with Terrorists, Senseless Acts of Justice, and Beyond Reasonable Doom.
(7) Will Hector: Badge of Carnage be ported to other platforms?
This is unlikely as Hector: Badge of Carnage is several years old now and Telltale mainly only ports their newer games to other platforms.
(8) Is there a bonus/free collector's DVD version for Hector: Badge of Carnage available from the Telltale store?
No, and it is unlikely that there ever will be a disc release, as Telltale has mostly moved on from physical merchandise.
(9) Is there a soundtrack CD available?
No soundtrack CD was ever produced for Hector: Badge of Carnage. Since Telltale has mostly moved on from physical merchandise, it seems unlikely that a soundtrack CD will be released in the future.
