X-Men Origins: Wolverine

edited May 2009 in General Chat
Anyone else seen this movie yet? I just got back from the theater, and I was actually very surprised at how good it was. Very nice special effects, really good story, and
Deadpool (kind of)
. Anyone else's thoughts?

Oh, yes, and if you see it, stay through the credits.

Don't like any 'superhero' movies, pretty much.

There's one scene near the beginning of the rolling credits, and one at the very end of them. Depending on which theater you're at, it's one of two endings.

    In our cinema,
Near the start of the credits:
Stryker is walking until his feet are bleeding, and Military Police pull over and ask him to come with them to answer questions about the death of the General (that he killed)

and at the end of the credits:
Logan in a bar in Japan or somewhere (they aren't speaking Japanese, however. Because I know that language, and it wasn't really recognisable) The barmaid asks "are you drinking to forget?" and he says "No, I'm drinking to remember."

Anyone want to reveal what the other alternate ending was?

    The
    Stryker ending
is on all of the prints. I saw the other ending, though.
The remains of the nuclear reactor's destruction are shown. A hand pops out, and it moves out of the rubble. It goes over to the disembodied head of Weapon XI/Deadpool, who wakes up promptly. He looks at the audience, and goes "shhhhh." And that's pretty much it.

It was alright. It's nice to see that the people in charge did their homework and got the actual Wolverine story fairly well. The only thing that I really didn't like, besides Hugh Jackman's over dramatic screaming crap, was Gambit's lack of an accent.
