Alan Wake. It seems like nobody I know likes that game and I'm not sure why. You may not think it's so great, but it's actually one of favorites.
People hate Uncharted 3? While it wasn't as good as 2, it was still a landslide better than the first one. Doesn't hurt to mention the game was still critically acclaimed.
Anyway, I have SEVERAL games I like that everyone else hates, here are some:
I love Allan Wake. I really need to get the DLC "episodes".
Watch Dogs, Dead Island, Far Cry 2, Resident Evil 5, Hitman Absolution, Fable 2 and 3.
People hate Sly 4 what the fuck that game was awesome.

I actually kind of liked Watch Dogs, it didn't seem that disappointing or boring to me at all. The less you expect from the game the more you get, you know.
The boss sucked though. I also felt that the missions were too easy, not as challenging as the Dimitri scuba dive mission back at Sly Cooper 3.
Final Fantasy XIII
A few Call of Duty games, Resident Evil 5 and 6.
Can't agree with Uncharted 3. That was generally a well liked game. Sly 4 maybe, even tho I liked.
I would say AC Revelations and AC III

All the games were easy, Sly 2 was the only one that got occasionally tricky, and heck that game was also a breeze.

It is a multiplayer game that all levels are made by players, the game is slowly dying and few care about this game, I seem to be one of them.
They made like 80 of them so I suppose some people like them, but I've never met anybody other than me who LOVES Harvest Moon.
silent hill 3. WTF?! it was waaaayyy better than SH2 so many feels when harry died, i turned it off and didn't play for MONTHS when harry died

You know some people may have wanted to play that game without a huge spoiler here. Thank god I already played it. But Spoiler Alert that stuff.
The original Transformers game was pretty good. Pretty much everything could be blown up, including buildings. Everyone seemed to hate it for some reason

it was! SH2 was good for creepy atmohsphere and SH1 was amazing, But Silent Hill 3 is the best because it has 1. Good Story, 2. Creepy
Factor is way high, and 3. it gives you the feels.

The story of Silent Hill 2 is far better that Silent Hill 3. Is how death affects the best cast of the century (James, Eddie, Angela, Mary, Maria, Laura), and Pyramid Head is still the best monster of the franchise.
Silent Hill 3 destroyed the darkness of Silent Hill(the town itself, not the game), everything that drove the previous games by reducing the town to nothing more that the instrument of Alessa. And, of course, it contains such "classic" scenes like Heather vomiting the fetus, Alessa eating the fetus, etc. Silent Hill 3 is nothing like Silent Hill.
Silent Hill 3 has a few unsubtle set pieces, but in Silent Hill 2 we get things like every encounter with Pyramid Head.Silent Hill 2 creepy factor is better that Silent Hill 3 creepy factor. The monster´s designs are superior, the whole encounter with Eddie at the graveyard, the hospital, the clear sense of wrongness about Maria, the abandoned apartment complex, the Lakeview Hotel, the prison, etc. In Silent Hill 2, every single moment could make you crap your pants. Silent Hill 3 is just weak, compared to Silent Hill 2.
What about the reveal of James murder? What about the last scene with the two Pyramid Head´s and Maria? What about Mary´s letter? What about each of James flashbacks? What about Eddie´s backstory, and death? What about Angela´s introduction, in which she is clearly contemplating killing herself? What about every single scene in which Angela appears? What about the scene of the burning building? What about every ending? God, even some of the songs are just gutwreching. The only time I got the feels for Silent Hill 3 was when Harry was killed, and when Heather found what was in her pendant... just that. Two moments in all the game. And that was just because I played Silent Hill 1.
I don't know how unpopular the G.I Joe one is, but it's pretty obscure.

People hate Resident Evil 4? That's not true everyone I know loves it!
Sleeping Dogs seems like a very underrated and hated game to me. Who doesn't love a good martial arts fighting game? I love martial arts btw.
There aren't even many out there. It's different from other open world games released.
And although I'm not a huge fan of the Call of Duty series, I feel like Call of Duty: Black Ops doesn't get the love and recognition it deserves. I guess it's because of the whole, "EW CALL OF DUTY!" mentality that many have today.

I too agree that it was scarier than Silent Hill 2.
I feel like Silent Hill 3 is way scarier because of all the settings and areas Heather has to go through. I mean, compare the hospital from Silent Hill 3 to Silent Hill 2. I know it's the same hospital, but holy shit when you are in the other world version, you'd be begging to go back to normality. The entire area is bloody red, everything is covered in rust, and there are monsters everywhere! I felt like there was no safe place in the area at all; even in rooms where there were no monsters. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Would you rather stay in the Lakeview Hotel, or the Amusement Park/Church? Hotel please!
I have to disagree with you on the monster design on Silent Hill 2 because the monster design in Silent Hill 3 is just straight fucked up. Sure, the monsters in Silent Hill 2 have more symbolism to them, but when you're talk about design, the monsters in Silent Hill 3 are more hellish looking. I'd take on a mannequin verses those tall monsters with sledgehammers for hands any day(The monster you first encounter) There's also more variety in them.
You're right about story though. Even though I love Heather a lot, I liked James' story more.

i know! the first monster made me scream so loud! i think they call it the boom-boxer, and holy shit, the god boss fight, what the fuck?! not to mention the revenge boss fight at heathers apartment.
Maybe, but there are quite alot of folks who look down on it, saying it's average and nothing good or great.
