As much as I hate to admit it your right, I was happy to see kenny when he came back, it was the inly feel I had all season, and thats not a lie... running up to kenny coming back I felt isolated with this new group, its the only part of S2 that gave me anything...
After that it was one big downward slope.... I remember watching several lets plays on UT, and a lot of players reactions was "geeez how much more can this guy take!?" It was diabolical on the first degree... this coupled with protagonist clem being awfully executed into the story and game, a complete lack of character development and us the player having nothing to fight for left S2 dead in the water... such a shame.. and the repercussions of which will last well into s3 and possibly beyond...

I believe TWD got left on the sidelines a bit with all there new games in production, either way they shot there selves in the foot here, some folks might not see it yet but unless S3 pulls this franchise back on track TWDG will die.. and fast.... it can be done with S3 no question... and if anyone can TT can.... but it needs to be done and quick..
This is one of the many ressons I run around here screamjng S2 was badly writen and very lazy!
Kenny's Legacy is ruined. It would of… more been far much better if he would of never came back, at least we would of remembered him as a hero, for either saving Ben/Christa, now the last thing i remember is Kenny doing was beating a teenager to death for no reason, I understand why Bonnie/Mike/Arvo left. I really do.
Kenny was out of his mind.
For a TT title it was discussing and saddening.... plus we lost one of the best characters in computer game storytelling in the worst possible way.... very sad...... very sad..
Kenny's legacy will now be known as the insane person who has killed a woman, under falsehood or a rabid crazy person that had to be shot by Clementine like a rabid dog.
As someone with PTSD, we don't act like this at all. Only about 50% of all PTSD cases have any violence. The rest of us hit that bottle, and l… [view original content]

I wouldn't say its that bad yet, however i have been hearing some things like it will take until 2016 to release season 3. If they're going to Hideo Kojima their games, then people are going to lose interest. No one wants to wait 4+ plus to play a sequel of a video game.
Some game companies know whats up, look at COD, either you love it or hate it, you have to respect them for putting out a new game every six to twelve months.

Now,in general one complaint I hear very often is that "Season 2 lacks a story"
I actually haven't heard that at all. What I have he… moreard was that the story was shit. In any case, Walking Dead has never had a great plot in any of its incarnations. It has just never happened. However, season 1 gets the closest because the real story is the redemption of a man who was condemned by the world before the apocalypse through caring for a little girl. It begins and it comes to an end, barring the cliffhanger in "No Time Left". The actual storylines themselves only serve to fuel this character dynamic. Season 2 doesn't have a contained main storyline like this, and that's not ostensibly a bad thing, because the original comics don't either. But that's just one more reason why season 1 is so lauded as being the best material of the franchise of the Walking Dead.
Another big complaint is the 16 month gap. The reason people complain about thi… [view original content]
We have people saying "Why should I care about A.J.?" Well, he's your beacon of hope. In this world of death, and horrible people, and bandi… morets, and paranoia, you have a baby, as innocent as you can get. You have a sign of hope for the future, that perhaps all is not lost, who wouldn't want to protect it?
Makes sense if you think about it:
*
* Jane mentioned she didn't liked babies.
*
* She asked what Rebecca was gonna do with "it".
*
* She called AJ "it" even after he was born.
*
* Clementine has the opportunity to use this dialogue where she will say: "Take it" which follows Jane's footsteps furthermore.
*
* Jane is cold as ice, a loner / survivalist, gives up on people that are too weak or just "helpless", has no hope.
Kenny was left behind, he never gave up though. AJ gave him hope. AJ gave him
a sign of hope for the future, that perhaps all is not lost,

Kenny is the evil dude? I disagree with that- yes, of course the past has caught up with him and hardened him, like it would do to anyone, but he's still not the bad dude. His only flaw is that he's selfish and does everything to protect those he cares about, even if he does do some monstrous things. For me, he could only be criticised for caring too much.
Put this into perspective with Jane; she only cares about herself and only bonds with Clementine because she's useful and someone who can survive. Imagine if we'd met Jane in season 1 when Clem was a little girl- she wouldn't stick her neck out for her then. But when someone is useful to her, then she tolerates them. In a way then, Jane's character is similar to that of Carver's- he doesn't care about anyone and would NEVER risk himself for the lives of others, but he will tolerate those that prolong his groups survival and therefore his time in power.
but again it was actually a very good move
I disagree, bringing Kenny back to become the "bad guy" was a bad move, it ruined the sto… moreryline for S2 IMO, it made Kenny a evil dude, where i remember him as a guy who did the right thing at S1, even if you didn't like him you had to give him that,
But now he is evil dude.
Clem having a lack of character development?? That was what the whole season was about! All the choices you made, no matter how small, were contributing to Clem's final character and the way others viewed you. Take for example if you decide to watch Carver die- in the next episode, Luke expresses his concern that you the horror of it all might be getting to Clem. Overall, your deciding whether Clem will be more like Carver or more like a better person (Lee?).
I must admit though, in the final episode there's a loss of focus. The game suddenly turns into a decision about who you prefer, Kenny or Jane, and at the end of season 2 Clem's character still isn't fully clear or decided. That would be my number one complaint, but then again perhaps Telltale felt that deciding her WHOLE character in just one season was too simplistic, and that she needed to be tested in other circumstances in order to define her character.
Overall though, I think TT did a fantastic job with the season, even if I have my complaints (on saying that, I had complaints about season 1 as well! I'm just one of those people who is never really totally pleased) and I'm really looking forward to season 3

Both seasons had me anticipated for the next episode, waiting and waiting and waiting. Clem kicking down a door? Although its not that realistic, take a moment to comprehend that the door could have rotted a bit and the latch could have rusted. As for my explanation for how it held those walkers back? Walkers dont really kick doors with all their might, do they? While I agree ATR could have some improvement, I would rate the season 9/10 due to how No Going Back picked up the pace and the gunfight at the end spiked up the suspense.
You know, I want to play devil's advocate on the whole door-kick situation: perhaps the walkers were already close to breaking it down anyways. I mean, Luke says that he and Sarah were in there for "hours", which implies that the walkers have been banging on the door for quite a while (they have been bearing down on that door for at least 5 minutes already.) Who knows how much longer they were banging on it before clem and jane came along? That door could have been hanging by a thread when Clementine kicked it.
I don't blame you. Hmm..
I wanted to bring Carver with the group in S2 E3, I'm fine if Nuke happened, I like Arvo, Ben, and Nick a lot my… moreself, I think Omid was pretty useless, and I like pretty much every character.
(Maybe make a thread for this? :P)

One thing season 2 did better then season 1 is that when you talk to people you actually fell like your having a conversation with them and not a fucking interview.
Season 2 is just on par with Season 1
THIS. So much this. I can't get over how much i agree with this!. Thumbs up.
As someone who… more has barely any knowledge of what's considered good storytelling, never read a good book or watched a great movie, I liked Season 2 more than Season 1 because of its mediocre story, underdeveloped characters, short length and others. Omid's death in the beginning was a complete masterpiece, you say shock value? i say genius writing, kudos to Breckon for that one, I have NO idea how he came up with that.
One of the best things about Season 2 is the time skip. People say we should have seen the 16 months because of character development but that is not true. The time skip made Clementine a grown up badass, that is character development. For me this is the biggest reason that Season 2 is so much much better than Season 1.

I wouldn't say it lacks a story. The story in my opinion was easily predictable and average. The story has/had so many unrealistic points I know its pointless to bitch about reality in a ZA game, but it still has to have some basis to reality. If not just give Clementine Superpowers and make into a joke game like Saints Row.
Omid,
You brought him up. His death was extremely wasted, it felt cheap and pointless. Now its a joke, like how Kenny survived in the alleyway, and their explanation was what again?
Lucky, Very Lucky. Great Writing!
They were just tying up loose ends from the last season so they could start Season 2 Kenny Khronicles.

Let's have an unpopular opinion contest.
Arvo is my third favorite character (and Nick my second), with Ben being my number one pick, and I liked them more than Clementine in season 1.
Uh...that's another opinion of mine for another time.
I was actually perfectly fine with Mass Effect 3. and its ending.
But, you know, I didn't wait five years for the conclusion, I actually bought the trilogy all at once after DLC was released, and marathoned all three games over the course of a few days with all the DLC, so maybe it just seemed less like shit to me.
Season 2 reminded me of Mass Effect 3 if it was a new game I would probably say its pretty good with a few flaws 7,5/10 but as its a sequel … moreto such an awesome game as TWD season 1 I just can't help to feel bad about it, it had so much wasted potential. Im sorry but saying that TWD season 2 is just as good as season 1 is just crazy, thats like saying that about the tv show, its just objectively not true, season 1 had longer episodes, more humor, you actually interact with most of the characters you started with right trough the end and they have a real development, that is objectively not true in season 2.
You see, I'm a big fan of the Walking Dead comics (Still haven't watched the series, however) So I'm used to having to suspend my disbelief.
In the comics, Tyreese gets locked in a Gymnasium full of walkers for three days, and survives, even though he was armed with nothing but a hammer. That's really unrealistic, but oh well, I dealt with it.
Or, when a character got his eye shot out, and lives with some memory loss, I'm not a doctor, but I'd expect things would be a lot worse if you got your eye shot out, and have the bullet go straight through your head. So things like Kenny living, or Clementine kicking doors, or Carver treating a bullet to the shoulder like nothing are just normal for me.

You mean the one that Jane, Clem, Luke and (determinant) Sarah escape out of? Unlikely, due to the fact that he would have needed furniture to get out of, and the furniture we used wasn't moved.
I finished ME 1 & 2 multiple times, the quest had a lot more variable conclusions that ME 3 where it seems theres just 1 paragon and 1 renegade way of finishing everything, also the god awful ending and I also only played it with extended cut. Overall both ME3 and TWD season 2 are good games but not worthy to compare for the previous installments.
Uh...that's another opinion of mine for another time.

Raging, Omid was the comic relief character. THERE NEEDS TO BE A COMIC RELIEF CHARACTER DUDE.
Maybe the walkers weren't always there, because Nick manages to get out... somehow.
I completely agree with you.
