I don't think it makes saving Chloe canon, it just follows the events after saving Chloe. Which is fair enough, that ending was incredibly underwhelming.

I have to be honest. So far, I don't like LiS 2. It lacks the atmosphere and qualities of what made the first game good. Here's some examples:
Daniel's powers lack real purpose. In the first game, Max's powers was centerfold and it connected to every aspect of the story. Sean isn't really questioning Daniel's powers. It's like his powers only come up to serve a single purpose for a scene and nothing more.
The music is not as emphasized as much either. The indie music of the first game took the experience to a greater level.
There's little to no options to sit down or lean on something then ponder about life. This also took the first game's experience to a greater level.
Too many characters are mean towards Sean and Daniel. It was contrived and redundant.
The only part I really liked was exploring the campground and eating tons of berries. I hope the other episodes improve, though, I'm not really expecting them to.
i went as a sensible mature and responsible young woman who acts her age and totally didn't binge on halloween candy like a child until i was sick. then whined about being sick. nope. didn't happen.
yes it's torture porn called max pain. actually max isn't even in it. i wanted to focus on chloe and rachel's relationship. we only saw the first 3 days in depth in BTS and i kinda wanted to show them getting more distant but chloe being unaware of it (think 500 days of summer). i also wanna hint at rachel and frank/jefferson but it won't be too much since it's chloe's pov. and show rachel's frustration grow because she still hasn't left arcadia bay and show her feeling stuck there and maybe come up with an excuse why chloe hasn't taken her away yet (maybe the truck broke down idk) which could be the cause for some friction in their relationship. i wanna end right before LiS1 because i think since chloe was the one putting missing person posters everywhere, no one else rly bothered to help so i wanna show how desperate that makes her and why she kinda spazzes with so many posters.
i doubt anyone would be interested in reading it lol. it's mainly to entertain myself. like most of my writing.

Probably because of how the save Chloe ending was more rushed and open ended in comparison to the save Arcadia Bay one.
