Like 7 pirates before me (or 9 if you include Belgium as it's about to be assimilated by the Netherlands, like it used to be before 1830), I'm Dutch. Not Deutsch, but I do speak German. Confusing? It gets worse!
Born in the province of South Holland (Rotterdam, well known pirate hub), living in the province of (old original) Zeeland (or Zealand - now you know why those kiwi's misspelled 'Sea'), in the city where famous admiral Michiel de Ruyter was born.
Some may think of him as a bit of a pirate, having fought many Froggies and British (and who knows, maybe Welsh and Scotts? BTW, I didn't see a border patrol or had to show my passport when traveling from England to Wales?) and others while sailing the Seven Seas.
And on the subject of presidents, ours is a famous wizard:

hey! well...um you fight like a cow :P
unfortunately the island nation of Aotearoa/New Zealand is nowhere near as warm as the caribbean but we do have a lot of tikis, hobbits, and flightless birds instead of monkeys.
I do wear a kilt for special occasions.
I do eat haggis (it's very tasty, especially with turnip and potatoes or neeps and tatties).
I don't play the bagpipes but I work with a girl who does!
I'm from the US... but that doesn't mean I wear a cowboy hat and talk really loud.
I'm from Tucson Arizona and I DO wear a cowboy hat and talk really loud
..we have no water and no boats, but I'm still a pirate! An... err... horse pirate, maybe?`
oh, who am I kidding.. I'm no pirate at all! not even close!
Ich lebe in slovenia und kann auch deutsch... hab viel fern gesehen :P. Ich hoffe ich werde in der Zukunft ein Ubersetzer sein. Ich kann namlich Deutsch und Englisch sehr gut.
Aye, it does seem that a few too many non-Brits take "England" as synonymous for "Britain" or "United Kingdom". Definition is everything; a Scot will no more tick the field for "England" than I would for "Germany".
A nice Euler diagram to display our quaint and complicated naming system in the British Isles for those of you outside of our waters.
Sono italiano e in questo post potrei mandarvi tutti a quel paese tanto non lo capirebbe nessuno tranne gli italiani iscritti.
Ma non lo farò perché sono un bravo pirata
Had to answer the arrrrrr part, since I'm from Finland. There is Scandinavia, but Finland is really not part of it. Finland is in Fennoscandia to be exact.
Oh come on... you surely think of "Lederhosen" and "Oktoberfest" or is it just a cliché that people think of the mentioned things when thinking about Germany?
when i think of germans i always think of your love for monkey island. you germans sure love your monkey island ^^ wich is awesome in my books
I think, it is point&click-adventures in general. Some germans made fan-successors to Zak McKracken (Zak 2) and Broken Sword (Broken Sword 2.5). And these are really good.

You should of put Britain or UK instead of England as England doesn't include Whales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Right there, but it's impossible to change the poll. I know I should have thought out the poll better (simply look at the at the huge number of people from other countries). But can't change it now.
Technically, I'm Russian, but I was born and still live in Moldova (you know, ex-USSR country and stuff).
BTW, there are two reasons for so few people from Russia: a) not all Russian people are from Russia and b) most Russian MI fans tend to talk on Russian forums and rarely visit English ones.

ditto! though not from Narvik. :P
We have real pirates here. Both the ship-seizing kind and their software-cracking brothers.
