BUG: iOS version audio stops working after receiving a call

I've been experiencing a bug related to audio after resuming the game from a phone call.

If my game session is interrupted by a phone call that I accept, the audio never returns after the phone call ends.

Fiddling with in-game settings does nothing to re-enable audio. Game audio only returns upon killing and restarting the game.

Steps to recreate:

  • Launch game on test device
  • Begin play session on test device
  • Using a call device, call the test device
  • On the test device, accept the call
  • On the test device, end the call
  • Audio will now be disabled in-game. Game is fully playable, but audio is completely muted and not un-mutable from within the game.

Device info:

  • iPhone 6 Plus
  • iOS 8.1.2 (12B440)

Comments

  • This happened to me on my iPad, so not just from receiving a call. I can play the game, but audio is muted. To fix it, I just quit the app from double-pressing the home button and doing it that way.
    Since there are chapters/checkpoints it's not too big of a deal but it's still annoying. Hopefully Telltale fixes it quick!
