Worst Deaths In Gaming?

I know people talk about shitty deaths and how TWD S2 had a few I would agree especially on Omid but no.. the worst death in gaming was definitely Johnny Klebitz in GTA V. I know people were 50/50 on him but I thought he was a good character with a tragic story then reappearing in V as an obscure meth head going against everything he stood for in the previous game and getting murdered in uncomfortably being beaten to death after uncharacteristically pussying out.

  • I had to turn my brightness on max and zoom in to see Chuck. RIP.

Before this thread gets controversial, better put a ¡SPOLER ALERT!.

Okay, so the deaths that I hate the most, since they're the worsts, are Patrenko's and Reznov's in Black Ops 1. So, in World War 2, they were able to survive Stalingrad and even fought their way towards Berlin (and even fought in the Arctic Circle and, one, in a Gulag) but were not able to defend themselves (without the help of the player) nor predict that there were going to be back-stabbed. One got caged like an animal before getting killed and the other dies off screen escaping some soldiers with a guard. I really likes those characters. Riddence, I guess.

Anyhow, after finnishing the game, I sold it right away and forced myself to never buy another Call of Duty game.

  • I think they title is enough of a spoiler.

If someone is dumb enough to go into this thread not expecting spoilers, they deserve to be spoiled.

Though I doubt someone that stupid exists.

  • In L.A. Noire the main character Cole Phelps died a pretty shitty death (I liked the game, just not that part). Yeah he saved his people, but just getting swept away by a wave of sewage water was lame, especially since it looked like he could've made it, just was killed off for the sake of drama.

  • Ow.

Ghost was amazing. Also you gotta love that warning right when they're about to die.

  • He's not dead dang it! At least I don't think so. (I picked destroy.)

  • It really is a shame that Steve didn't die immediately after being introduced.

My Shepard isn't dead...she lives on as a Reaper Demigod and becomes a brutal dictator of the entire galaxy.

    Control ending master race.

  • I honestly always pick destroy or control. They are the only good endings IMO

What do you mean by worst deaths?

    Worst meaning saddest?

  • Just a second before the water swept him away you can hear him say good bye and he looks like he already accepted that he's gonna die, i think that his death was the only way he could redeem himself after what he had done earlier in the game maybe he even did it on purpose, though there were many better ways to kill him

I agree with Johnny Klebitz, i think R* needed a way to make Trevor seem like a complete maniac, they needed an impressive way to introduce him and for some reason they decided it was killing a protagonist :(, it's a shame because i liked his story more than Luis' but i guess The Lost fitted better GTA V

  • Yeah, Synthesis just creeps me out. It's great for the synthetics and all, but... no thanks.

Serah Farron at the end of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Hell, the ending in general. What a slap in the face.

  • Still one of the worst/gruesome ways to die, ever. Poor Isaac.

  • Not many people will understand this, but watching Pankraz die in Dragon Quest V was horrible. He's the father of the protagonist, and you have to watch him die, unable to save him since the protagonist has a scythe to his neck. It's really not fun.

  • Oh god the horror. All that fucking hard work put into this game, just to have everything turn to shit in the end. What a waste.

  • The stupidest death scene I can think of right now is Wesker's in Resident Evil. It was that incredibly pathetic and dumb that I ended up laughing.
