And there is no harm in posting you interpretation of what you'd like to see, as long as you do it with respect and don't expect us to realistically be able to affect that change. We all have our opinions of what we'd like to see in a prefect world!

I think this pretty much sums it all up really :o

Definitely my favorite of the bunch. Simple and effective.

    Bunch of landlubber parvenus...

... they surely fight like a cow, while having the manners of a beggar, being famed contemptible sneaks, less polite than most apes I've spoken to, and definitely they'd better stop waving their tongues like a feather-duster.

Wow. I wish I hadn't looked that up. That was awful. I...just don't understand that reaction. I thought it was wonderful and great. It was everything I wanted it to be. I can't believe so many other people seem to hate it and think it sucks to badly. I don't even get why.

    Man I'm depressed.

    Yes. :(

Seems like quite a mixed bag of comment there.

    Can't please everyone..

I actually read the whole page of comments. It seemed to get progressively negative to overwhelmingly negative after the initial ones. I'm well aware you can't please everyone but I'm just shocked at how BADLY it gets in the comments.

I guess I could be wrong, I didn't count. Then again sometimes the angry raging people are the most vocal. I guess I had a knee-jerk reaction to their knee-jerk reactions. >_>

I'm sure I'll enjoy it, I just hope it still sells well so Telltale does well and makes more games I enjoy with greater efficiency. I'd also like to see the Monkey Island franchise be successful. I could live with no more MI games after Tales but I want to see MI2:SE very, very badly. I guess I was really hoping for broad range and mass appeal to virtually everyone just because it was MI.

I'm not sure they should have released as much as they did at first. I knew they'd polish up the visuals by release but a lot of people still don't seem to get that, even after the new screens have turned up. There were some pretty good shots, but a lot of people focus on the worst that was on offer.

It sucks because I've been desperately trying to allay fears about the graphics where I see them because I don't want people to not give the game a chance.

I saw someone quoting the Dave Grossman "It's not MI5" thing and I wanted to yell. >_<

I went to another website for reactions and I've concluded the people on RPS are just the work of the devil. Or an anomaly. Either one.
  • edited July 2009
Its probably an anomaly, I've not seen such negative attitudes elsewhere. Its odd, the RPS people (who are all PC Gamer UK writers) are normally very good, but they just seem to not like what Telltale do. Their reviews for Sam & Max, for instance, were probably the most damning out there, though they didn't mind Strong Bad. But they loved the old LucasArts games. The less said about the user comments in that particular article the better...

Are they generally fans of the genre / previous MI games? Sorry, didn't want to read through it all if its gonna stress me out!

Found a new screenshot at Mix N Mojo which apparently has some really advanced graphical settings.

I'll put it in a link for those wanting to avoid spoilers. I didn't know where else to put this, but I thought I'd share it.

Ah crap, I miss all the fun. :( BTW, those supposedly "improved" shots at the start make the game look like someone's webcaming their TV hooked up to their 360 and playing TOMI. :D

Lol, just because you missed out on the fun doesn't mean you should try and start it up again XD
