Who is new CEO of the Hyperion?

Ok, I was wondering who can be new CEO of the Hyperion after Handsome Jack´s death? First I tought that Henderson was next CEO and after him Vasquez, but then I realized that neither of them was head of Hyperion. They both were only Senior Vice President of Securities Propaganda of Hyperion which means, they were small leaders of one branch of Hyperion. So is it somewhere mentioned or I´m wrong and they were CEO? I just can´t find anywhere answer on my question and if that topic was somewhere else discussed then I´m sorry.

  • :1 What if it's Vallory? Maybe she's running the crime circuit and Hyperion all at once.

  • Has Mr. Blake ever been confirmed dead? Because I thought I read somewhere he was the Vice President of Hyperion during Jack's rule.

  • I know for sure he's the "fetch the violin" guy.

  • I dont think its Vallory. Does she looks to you like head of Hyperion? She is pureblooded bandit to me.

  • ButtStalion? Oh thats make sense now.

  • Jack would be rolling in his grave at just the thought of a Pandoran running his company!

  • It seems unlikely that she would hire August to sell a vault key to someone on Hyperion besides herself. ...But I guess stranger things have happened.

  • Some Brownnoser set up Handsome Jack's corpse in his office and hoped no one would notice.

  • Maybe they have a board of directors? Not just one dude running things anymore.

  • I thought they always had it. It's just they kinda gave all the power to Jack after the events of TPS.

  • That is interesting idea, but there has to be the ONE that runs everything. But maybe they didn´t choose anyone yet. Or maybe it is another old fart as was Tassiter, I dont know.

It's Cotter. Now that's he in charge, he can go after Pandora's potatoes like Jack went after it's Eridium

The sad thing is I'd pay for this happen.

  • It'd have to be Blake. He was the Vice President of Hyperion during BL2 so with Jack gone he'd naturally assume the position, assuming of course he hasn't been rekt by the Vault Hunters yet.

  • So now Cotter is the Stranger AND the new CEO? It all makes sense now!

  • Ahaha, "Weekend at Jack's"!

Can somebody please photoshop the Weekend at Bernie's poster to include Jack's messed up face?

  • According to Rhys everything somehow got worse when Jack died so maybe there's no clear leader of Hyperion meaning no order.

  • I guess it was just a spur of the moment thought.

Jack acts like the only thing stopping Blake from running the company is Jack being the CEO. Link to the Q&A.

I for one, am happy by that considering Blake has only made voice cameos since the Robolution DLC. I mean, check out his suit, tie, and hair.

(And I'm not making a headcanon that Blake's the reason everyone in tales is wearing pinstripe suits.)

  • Did he really say that? Or am i just proving my gullibility once again? Lol.

I can't see Handsome Jack ever even considering that he may die one day. But it would be sooo effing funny if there was a memo floating around somewhere at Hyperion saying that Butt Stallion is to be the next CEO of Hyperion if Jack bites it.

Jack was very clear who should take his place in the event of his demise/incapacitation:

  • Nah, he didn't say it - but don't worry, you're not gullible, I'm just super convincing! ;)

And you're totally right, Jack thought he was bulletproof because he was the hero of the story and the hero can't die - I imagine if some Hyperion lawyer tried to get Jack to name a successor in the event of his death he'd have fired them for subordination at doubting him (and by that I mean he would have strangled the crap out of him...)

  • Probably Blake, but I'm definitely not sure. I'm hoping he's taking good care of Butt Stallion.

  • That's actually a very tiny picture of Jack, but I always make Jack's hair a lighter brown for some reason.

  • pls Jack, that's clearly a picture of you.

  • Blake is alive and working at Hyperion for sure, but I was hoping that Hyperion's leadership was left ambiguous so our decisions could affect who ends up leading Hyperion.

  • Gah, I'm an idiot. I totally thought it was Jack at first (the eyes!), but when I saw what I assumed was Rhys' tie I changed my comment at the last second.

    Go with your gut, people...

(can I also say this is pretty much the greatest thing ever!)

yeah, he was the president of hyperian in borderlands 1 and he is a manipulator. who knows maybe he led to jack coming down to pandora and dies.

I know for sure he's the "fetch the violin" guy.

  • True, but Nakayama probably went and retrieved his corpse.

Jesus, now I'm thinking about Nakayama and Jack's corpse - surely that wouldn't have ended well. :shudders:

Also, I think one of the unused lines was something about Shade having the pants Jack died in? O_O

  • Mr. Blake was in charge of Mercenary relations and tourism in BL1. He was later promoted to Vice President as no one else would take the position (I mean, Jack literally strangled Tassiter and then he's been known to do the same to other employees who so much as bother him).
