*Rolls eyes* They're release it when they're ready, not when you're ready.

Well I am going to bed hopefully by the time I wake up the game should be ready, a pre-download would have been nice.

    Bastards.

Telltale, I've met dogs smarter than you!

That's right. Insult them, that will make them release it sooner. Why would you but a game from a company that you think is ignorant. This whole forum fails.

Lol, calm down doomsoth. He's only quoting Monkey Island's very own insult swordfighting!

    A proper response would be...

  • edited July 2009
lol yeah it was a joke. Telltale is my favourite game company, even if they are as ugly as a monkey in a negligee.

I wish Tim Schafer would update his website as much as he used to.

Yeah, I keep checking Double Fine's site and he really hasn't done much since E3...a little disappointing...

I've got Monkey Fever, it's burning in my brain
I've got Monkey Fever, it's driving me insane!
We got Monkey Fever, we're flipping our bandanas
Been waiting for this game for so long we have simply gone bananas!

This is the first game I'm buying direct from Telltale - how do we download this when it is released?

I imagine we'll get an e-mail but do they have their own client?

The forum clock says it's 12:12 am already. Hurry up, Telltale!

Yeah, what time zone is the forum clock in, it always confuses the hell outta me.

BTW, I have noticed with the W&G releases that the game is up when I am getting ready for work at 3:30am and I'm in CA, so I think the game release at midnight pacific (5.5 hours from now). This is a major improvement over the Sam and Max days when the release happened between 9am and 10am Pacific so it is getting better.

YOUR 7th. Just because it was the 7th in your Time Zone doesn't mean it's the same for Telltale's. I've seen 4-year-olds with more patience than you.

I guess as soon as the PC version is released, all this fretting regarding the release on Wiiware will start up.

Unless you're a mug like me who buys a new laptop rather than waiting for the wii release. My sh***y old one was only good for scummvm, didnt want it to ruin the MI experience and a good excuse to spend my overdraft :)

I'm just saying when I get paid I expect it to be in my account at midnight on the second that the day starts.... so if they release on the 7th, then it should be release at midnight in whatever time zone they are located at. It's only fair. I pre-ordered for a reason ya know!?
  • edited July 2009
So you expect the entire team to be working til midnight? and then support the release til 5 am in the morning? That seems a bit unreasonable
  • edited July 2009
its seems unreasonable and makes no sense. you live in australia, you get the game before anyone else. how does that work? everyone gets it when its ready to be released
  • edited July 2009
The game has been held hostage for too long! Release it! Set it free! COME TO PAPA!
  • edited July 2009
It's just past 9:30pm here in Nebraska, USA, central time.

    can. not. wait.
  • edited July 2009
And dont blame our clocks blame the rate and which our planet spins. We havent even hit sunlight in america yet.

Im on the east coast too so it will be the 7th before its the 7th in california where telltale is.
  • edited July 2009
They should be working until 12 and providing support until 5. You'd only need a few people on and it's a big event. Heck, when the new GTA came out here in Australia, a store which has 3 staff (EB games here) was open at 12 - 4pm. And this is in a small country town of Australia, population 20,000.

So Telltale should have been able to pull it off. In fact, I'd feel a bit jipped if they didn't.
  • Working a store and working online are two totally different things. EB Games doesn't need to handle tech support but Telltale will. Things like that mean that they will have to have some sort of staff somewhere even if it's call-center staff.

    PS: monkey4.gif
  • edited July 2009
I reckon they can pull it off. If they've tested correctly, there shouldn't be too many technical support problems.
  • You'd be surprised. Coming from someone who's beta tested things. There are still usually bugs even after extensive testing. Sometimes it just takes the right people to break it.
  • edited July 2009
I suppose. Still, I was expecting a midnight release. And I think a lot of other people were. Because it was a preorder, I just instantly assummed it would come out at 12PM America (or 6PM here)

I'm waiting until I can play through the re-releases before I play the new ones. Crazy? You bet!
