So.... Where is Athena at now then? (Episode 3 spoilers!)
After Brick and Mordecai drag her off at the tail end of the episode, is she being taken to sanctuary for the present time events of Borderlands the Pre-Sequel to take place? Or do you think something else will happen with her in future episodes?

No, she is taken to Sanctuary to tell the events of the Pre-sequel.
Definitely to Sanctuary. In the opening of the Pre-Sequel, Brick is limping and using Mordecai as a crutch almost (his toe), and then him patting Mordecai on his side which he goes "ouch" at (Athena threw her shield at his gut and is probably really sore). It has to be real soon, maybe even taking place before whenever Episode 4's flashbacks take place.
So she's not returning? That sucks.
I'm thinking episode 4 takes place during her story about the events of the Pre-Sequel. The storytelling takes a few hours tops and the Tales episodes are strung over somewhere between a couple and a few days, so i don't see any any reason that would prevent her (and other vault hunters) making more appearances in later episodes if TellTale so chooses.
most likely going to skip ep4 (honestly there's already enough characters) she survived her captivity so she might come back for the finale, she grew fairly fond of Fiona and Janey seemingly cured some of her stick-up-her-butt syndrome with great doses of lesbian sex and kid stories, but she might not know where the MCs will end up, or she might only manage to get out of captivity after Vallory's already taken care of (even if she skedaddles out of the alien business, she has to tell her whole story twice so she may only be available for the present day, stranger danger business), or she might have worse matters to take care of (the war thing) or Gearbox might want to take her out of tales to beter preserve her for a possible BL3 (can't expect people who just want to play BL series to have to play tales to understand stuff in BL3).
