Well Telltale has already done that in Poker Night 2, he was annoying as hell there, I was happy every time he was eliminated because I didn't want to hear him.
Also, like I said, he's supposed to be annoying which means that if you write him well he is annoying which is kind of a problem, I wouldn't mind his appearance but having him be important in the finale is kind of a drag, and I hope it doesn't happen.
Maybe Telltale's writing could make him more tolerable to you? I've seen some people say that they didn't care much for Scooter until Tales. Maybe they can do the same for Claptrap.
I mean that when you keep being a mean bean he wouldn't stick around for long. Like if there would for example be an option for him to come along or something you could just be like "nope"
