  • How can you change your avatar into something other than the preset avatars made by telltale?

  • There is an option to use Gravatar to upload custom avatars from the Avatar Section. It's the icon with the pixel boxes. I haven't used it personally but I think it is another website/service that you have to make an account for with the same email as your Telltale account.

  • How do i add animated gifs to my comments?

  • The same way you add standard pictures - when posting, click the button that looks like a little picture (it's the one in between the globe and the bullet points) and add the web location of the GIF.

We do ask that you use animated GIFs sparingly, since we don't want the site to be over-run with them. So feel free to use them... just not all the time :)

If it's a youtube video, all you have to do is post the link and the forum will automatically link it for you, like so:

Edit: I just saw the video you tried to embed, it was linked to m.youtube.com. Just make sure it's linked to www.youtube.com and it should show up fine. :)

Okay, so I was trying to reply to a post that had been moved from another thread and this happened.

    Alt text

It wont allow me to reply, it just loads this thing and gets rid of my post. Is this an issue with the forum?

That happens when you are writing a reply to a thread when it is open, but submit it when the thread has been closed by a mod (without you having refreshed the page before the thread was closed).

I encountered that before and figured the circumstances were too obscure for a user to encounter, but well... guess not.

That exact thing happened to me earlier that day, though it's probably my fault for taking 30 minutes to post something.

The comment in question, however, had already been moved to the release date discussion thread from a thread that had been closed. When I tried to reply to it three times (once when I first saw it, once when I reloaded the page and once more after I closed the browser and cleared cookies) it still came up with what you see above.

You are right, though. The circumstances are very obscure.

  • So, since I can't get any email notifications that I have new comments directed at me, I found a post by @puzzlebox saying that he/she sent me a PM. Great! I was able to figure out how to send PMs, but that was it; there's NOTHING in the interface that lets me view PMs, even if I have none. Thanks, Telltale.

PMs are listed along with your notifications (click on the number next to the bullhorn icon in the upper right corner of the screen). You might have to scroll through them (by clicking load more) depending on how long ago you got the PM and how many notifications you have).

  • If you head over to Gravatar.com, they have a fairly easy-to-follow guide on how to use the site.

Agreed on the miscommunication. Sorry about that. I'll certainly say that we'll have merch again at some point in the near(ish) future, but it

  • Wait a minute, when did this sight have down votes?

  • edited June 2015

A few days before No Going Back came out in August.

EDIT: I worded that wrong kinda, I think it always had it, but the time I said was when it was removed :P

Before you got here, we had down votes but there was a lot of drama about it, people would down vote for no reason (regular posts had up to 14 down votes in waiting threads) and a lot of people complained until it was finally removed.

  • I thought you were here when there were down votes.
