Yeah, Luke is definitely a bit fishy. There's a few hints here and there that he's a pretty selfish guy. Maybe in a contrast to Christa, who was bitter and resentful but still had Clem's best interests at heart, Luke will be the fun yet unreliable deadbeat dad, who takes Clem out for pizza and ice-cream but forgets to come to her birthday party.
I didn't get the impression anyone other than Rebecca (and possibly Luke) knew about the baby not being Alvin's. We haven't seen anything that indicates the other house members know. When you go upstairs at the ski lodge both Alvin and Carlos are at loss as to why Carver is still pursuing them (with Rebecca playing dumb).
I think Luke is a good guy but he may have a thing for getting in over his head. There is definitely something shady going on with him thoug… moreh. During the kitchen conversation in episode 1, he questions if the others really think Carver would come after them. Yet in episode 2, he gives Clem a clear hint on why Carver is so insistent on chasing them. So why feign innocent skepticism in front of the group? It seems only he and Rebecca know the real reason for Carver's dogged pursuit and I have a feeling Rebecca and the baby are only a part of it.
also to be a con-artist you have to be really good at lying. a con-artist convince people a certain idea to get money from them. Luke couldn't beat Pete at Poker, he isn't that good at lying.
Yes i did mean the part just before Luke fell through the bridge, i looked back at a playthrough and i guess i read the scene slightly wrong but for a few seconds of the game it looked like Clem was planning on trying to take out the two walkers while Luke went for the one on its own, you can sort of see the part i mean in this screenshot, she took out her hammer and was looking at them so i assumed that she was planning on attacking them.
On the bridge Luke told Clem to get the legless zombie who couldn't move, while he got the one with legs who could move.
Unless you mean … moreright before he fell through the bridge, in which case they had decided to turn back cos one zombie was easier to kill than two. So he was intending to kill the one zombie in their way while Clem followed him.
yeah it seem that way, only Rebecca and Luke know, when they were on the road Rebecca try to patch things up with Clementine, you a giving a option to comment asking why Carver is after Rebecca. Rebecca's response is "After me? Oh you mean us. It's a long story...He has a hard time letting go." If the others knew she would probably told the truth. I seriously thought Alvin would catch on, when he heard that he didn't thought that was strange?

Luke didn't change the subject, he just gave you a subtle hint.
Clem: Why would Carver be after us?
Luke: What's the most important th… moreing in this world?
Clem: Family?
Luke: Yes, family. nudge nudge
It was a hint that Carver is after Rebecca's baby. -_-
Well, he DID save Clem's life in Episode 1. She was about to be eaten by a walker when he cut its head off. And that was before he even knew who she was.

are you talking to me? no.... I mean with that talk to Rebecca, on the road, Clementine can ask why Carver is after Rebecca. Rebecca's answer is "After me? Oh...you must mean us. It's a long story....He has a hard time letting go." I thought Alvin would over hear that and think it was a bit strange. Its not like Rebecca whisper that.
Well, guys don't have skinny asses.
Alt least, not attractive ones. The most generally considered attractive male ass is actually quite similar to the female one, except less triangle shaped and more rectangle shaped.

Come to think of it, do we know anything about Luke's past? Maybe he had a sister and Clem reminds him of that. Hence the brother/sister like relationship.

He's only known Clementine for like what? The past week? They already have like a bond but he hasn't really been open about much, that's probably because he has secrets to keep like the most of us. There are obviously a lot of secrets everyone, even those in the group, that they are hiding from each other. Such as Rebecca's baby daddy and i'm sure there is some other untold things to find out. I trust him though, seems like a nice enough guy.
I don't trust him, if you don't tell me right a way what the hell is going on, you being nice ain't working. Trusting me, trusting you, it only goes to two ways... but that's just me!
I've been a little worried about Nick's story about when he and Luke went into bussiness and how he comments (more or less) "I wish I could be like him, moving on all the time". Also, Carver basically says the same about him in a less flattering way. I trust he'll come back, but, still, it worries me.
Yeah i have no doubt that we will see him again but some of the things that have happened have made me question my (faith) in him for lack of a better word.

got a feeling @Telltale are writing him as a saviour to Clem,he shows his emotions for the littlest of things,is constantly asking Clem where is she heading etc i can even see that his disapearence will have something to do with Kenny so Kenny will be in the wrong for telling him to take a hike,im guessing this group has dark secrets like Alvins.
It makes you think, now that shit hit the van, how loyal is Luke to these guys. Love how everyone keeps bringing all these interesting ideas and theories!

It's probably a situation like Lee's. Lee killed a man and was going to jail and kept it from the group for a little while. I'm sure that if that is the case, Luke will end up telling Clem or the whole group and they'll be shocked or something. Idk. I like Luke, he feels more like an older brother though, rather than a fatherly position like Lee was. He has a real "loyalty" feel to him. Like, no matter what Clem does, he will still end up keeping her safe, even if he isn't her best friend there. But, you never know. I guess we'll see in later episodes.
Luke's the kind of guy to freak out easily in that kind of situations, I'm not saying it was nice to drop her, he just freaked out. After that, when Clem loses consciouness, you see him running towards her, he propably carried her to the group despite her bite.
And for the shed, he didn't want to do that, he wasn't happy about it, but whether he likes it or not, the group decides. AND he defended her during the whole house meeting.
Carver do says something about Luke in the lines of: Where's Luke, finally cut and run huh? I told you not to follow him, look where it brought you". What the hell is going on with our mysterious Luke-boy.
Shes as tough as nails, she could take em
Also whoever's job it was to animate characters facial expressions did a great job especially … moreon Clementine's face, if you didn't see there was a large thread showing our favourites http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/61819/best-clementine-face/p1
no I'm not saying that at all! I replyed to @Night_Owl 's remark about Luke and Rebecca are only people who know Carver is the father to Rebecca's baby. I am not making a rumors that Luke is the father, geez next please read my comment better.
It looks like he planned the escape from Carvers camp. The truth is we don't know much about this guy, like Carver said : "you have no idea who these people are do you?" Luke doesn't know how to lie so he prefers to hide the truth, just like he tried to persuade Clem to not telling Walter about Nick. The mystery to me is where would Luke go "to take a hike" like Kenny said it almost implicates that he knock him out or something. I don't think Luke is a bad guy he did some shit, just we don't know how serious; but I think TT wants to make him more likeable than Kenny so that it would be harder to choose Kenny.

thoughts on luke hmm he's a handsome gentleman isn't he lol but in all seriousness I think he's a good guy. he might have skeletons in the closet but don't we all?
Crap yes I meant Justin. And that backstory is why I think it. He seems to be very charismatic and manipulative. Think of it - he got this group to leave Carver's community. He likes to take the lead. Based on how he has treated other adult characters this is what I've gathered. What Clem has experienced first-hand you have to remember she is still (even if not mentally) seen as a child and treated as one by Luke.

After two episodes I dont care much for the members of that "new group" since they are using Clem and not trusting her really. Only Pete was… more ok and resonable, rest of them are just crazy ppl with huge complexes and me as a Clem just dont really care that much.

Exactly. I don't trust him.
Like I said, Alvin killed George instead of going for Carver, is it possible that Carver tuned George against Alvin?

What, a hint that he wanted to hook up with an 11 year old?
Then he helped lock her in a shed at gunpoint to die of infection.
Yeah you two are right i was just making assumptions.

welcome home george michael hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So you're saying Luke's the father? Ok.
And before that he dropped her without hesitating.
Like Kenny says
"Takes a while before you know a man for real."
Come to think of it, do we know anything about Luke's past? Maybe he had a sister and Clem reminds him of that. Hence the brother/sister like relationship.
Yeah that bothered me as well. Even if someone is bitten by a walker you don't just drop them. A little compassion goes a long way.
And that is why i trust Kenny before ill trust Luke even if it seems like Kenny is losing it a little. Awesome name btw i,m a huge ES fan.
He isn't gay, he's straight but his age of attraction starts pretty low.

To muhab:
that was a pretty bad joke there buddy
Playing dumb is one of the easiest ways to make others trust you.

If only it were that easy.
It makes you think, now that shit hit the van, how loyal is Luke to these guys. Love how everyone keeps bringing all these interesting ideas and theories!
That's just cos Clem's wanted to be able to defend herself if necessary. :-)

Might very well be.. But when I saw Kenny again I kinda chose his side immediately. It's just, you've been through so much shit with Kenny.
Hey, I would have traded any one of them for Lilly or Ben any day.
