Why would they build a ski resort next to a cliff?

edited April 2014 in The Walking Dead

Why'd they build a slope next to a cliff also? A lot of people would just fall off the cliff.

  • lol dude its a ski lodge people ski down the mountain and then use the cliff thing to get up and once people are tired they go there and relax, people wont just fall off

  • Dude. You ski DOWN THE MOUNTAIN. xD

  • lol i'm sure it's parachute skiing.

    Did he died?

  • Well, people wouldn't just jump off the cliff side unless they're retarded lol. Though I didn't notice any cliffside. Are you talking about the mountain it's build on? That's a mountain, n.t a cliff, and people like to ski down mountains.

  • They let Dr. Carlos come up with the ski resort's location; he got the "choose where to put a ski resort" coupon the same day he got his medical degree.

  • I know. "Did he died?" is just a thing on the internet now. You usually ask it on dangerously looking stuff and people will respond in similar bad grammar such as "yes he is kill" or "yes, he is deaded."

Yes I remember that starting like 3 years ago maybe even longer but it didn't cross my mind >.<

  • Any doctor who fails to provide medical assistance no matter the circumstance/situation is a bad doctor.

he didn't fail to provide it, though.

  • No that's is a bad person. It doesn't speak of his skills as a physician.

  • Yea he provided it afterwards risking a life in the process

he didn't fail to provide it, though.

  • Don't all doctors take an oath to help anyone in need?

I understand that the situation was difficult and their supplies were low, but there are ways of helping someone injured that doesn't require supplies.

And yes it does make him a bad person not necessarily a bad doctor. But would you trust your life to a doctor that's a bad person?

  • No. It is not an obligatory requirement to become a doctor. Though the majority (at least in America) swear to the Hippocratic Oath or another form of oath regarding proper doctoring. I believe the oath simply states (in many words) that they must regard each life as a life worth living.

But, again, breaking this oath does not speak of the skills the physician has, only in the lack of morals and ethics of said physician. If a man walks into a doctor's house with a piece of metal in his leg and asks for help, and the doctor being fully capable of repairing the man's leg turns him away, that doesn't mean the doctor could not have helped him and that his skills were not progressed enough to help the man, only that he as a person chose not to help the man.

The last part of your post is irrelevant. I'm simply saying his skills as a physician are not necessarily bad by what we have seen.

    1. Identifying that bite as a dog bite or a human bite would be nearly impossible with the amount of tearing and blood pouring out.

    2. He did know that. He even said her life was in danger while Clem was sneaking around the cabin. Again this speaks of his personality, not his skills as a doctor.

  • Its a small detail in the game.... It doesnt matter

  • No, he didn't die. But he broke a shit ton of bones :/

    "nearly impossible"

Why would he wait until the next day to see if she has a fever if he already knew that? Also, I never said he was a bad person. All I am saying is that he is bad at his job.

But that's just it. Him not caring for her is a direct representation of his personality. Him not caring for her means he was a bad person, not a bad physician.

    Take this for example:

A man had a piece of metal in his leg. He enters the home of a doctor and pleaded for help. The doctor being completely capable of helping the man decides to turn him away back onto the streets. The doctor could have helped him but chose not to. That speaks of his personality/morals/ethics and not of his actual skills as a physician. The same rules apply.

He could have helped her, as evidenced later in the cabin, but chose not to. His skills as a doctor are fine, his skills at being a good person are lacking.

EDIT: Also, "nearly impossible" was a scaping remark, I meant that very few people could identify the bite type, doctor or otherwise.
