Who is the most annoying character and why?

  • I agree with you on the first bit. It would be totally out of character for her to murder someone in cold blood, even if it was Carver. I can only see her doing that if she was absolutely pushed to the limit and had no other choice. Clementine may be hardened from all the shit she's seen, but she still retains her humanity.

It's sick to me that there are people who actually want Clem to be the one to kill Carver just for the sake of her looking like a badass, I'd hate having to see her do that. She's gone through enough as it is, and if she does have to do it, I think it would be the start of a downward spiral for her.

You've missed my point. Also, I don't see how she's a rebel...? She's good natured yes, and doesn't show it all the time, but that's the case with lots of characters. Anyway, I was talking about the way she awkwardly leaves the group.

  • ~so edgy~
    ~a bad grrl with a checkered past~
~but now she uses her vagina for good~

lol You misunderstood. I meant that the whole ordeal might have fucked her up a little bit. Selling sex for a piece of shit like that takes character.

  • Wait. Hold up. That last comment there. Are you saying that what I'm saying is unsurprising because of my sexuality? Because that's the type of assholey homophobic BULL that can

    a) make me feel fine for not agreeing with you on these characters, and completely remove any respect I had for you standing up for your opinion

    b) show that you have to resort to sandmen and ad hominem in your arguments because they aren't strong enough alone

    c) Get you fucking banned, because I don't think homophobia is allowed on this fucking forum dude.

And excuse me,just because I don't have the exact same opinions as you, doesn't mean I have a 'warped view on anything'.

Would it help you to know that I thought Katjaa was incredibly selfish and boring? That I don't at all like Beauty from The Wolf Among Us?

What are the other characters I'm allowed to dislike by the way? Or are opinions not allowed on a public forum discussing a subjective game?

Also, saying Molly is a 'bad' character is in its essence subjective, so the fact that you think I don't see it because I 'don't give her much thought' shows that you think the only reason people may disagree with you is because they're stupid, and that's just really self-absorbed.

    But hey, I'll bite.

So you think that all characters leaving without foreshadowing is bad, huh? Interesting.

So you hated Shawn? Omid? Walter?

Do you not think that the reason we thought her leaving had no 'foreshawdoing' could perhaps be due to the fact that we've known her for less than a day, and we aren't even really friends with her?

The reason she left is because she's didn't want to get in the way when the boat decision came.

Now, perhaps you instead are the one with the warped standards:

You seem to dislike every female character except Christa who is either willing to stand up for themselves or not in a romantic relationship.

Do you think women are only good characters if they are passive, or work to please their 'man'?

Now, of course those last two comments are facetious: I'm not being serious. I was showing you how you can twist little things and try to make a huge misguided generalisation.

  • I agree with you about Molly, but you're a homophobic asshole.

  • The fact that I am able to substantiate my arguments and not resort to insulting the person I'm debating with shows that you most certainly are not the winner.

Especially the fact that I have reported you for your homophobic comments, and will be talking to a dev on any topic when I next see them to point them here as I think they said the report function doesn't work, and my private messages don't either.

Because putting the thought in my mind of two intrepid, burly spacemen rubbing their stubbly faces together in unbridled homosexual desire swells the cockles of my heart with piping hot lifeblood and fills my loins with sultry bi-curious lust duuuuuuuuuuuh.

Your attempt to Otherize queer sexuality and experimentation is deeply troubling you should report to your local GLAAD or GLISTEN center for resensitizing. You've set the movement back 5 minutes with your regressive attitudes, hope you're proud of yourself.

It happened with the N word for example, as many black men or women started using that to call each other.

What's there to be scared of?

Dudes rubbing other dudes, maybe with some oil? Maybe wrestling a little bit, getting a good workout, doing some squat thrusts. Parts of a dude touching another dude's parts. Going antiquing on the weekend. Sounds like good old fashioned teamwork to me. Where is the Fear Factor in all of this? Should I be afraid of the pastels, the Cher music, what?

Homophobia is a misnomer. A more appropriate word would be 'gayism', as is the case with sexism and racism.

It's not about fear, it's about discrimination.

I hate pastels and Cher music, and the fact that you think that's what makes people gay shows how homophobic you actually are.

"Gay" implies frivolity, a carefree attitude and unbridled, often unwarranted, joy. For many homosexuals in this country and throughout the world, that's neither their natural disposition or a luxury in their day to day life. To imply otherwise is an act of stereotyping which I just can't abide by, sorry. Out of respect for different lifestyles, I'd ask you to not use that terminology unless in abbreviated or acronym forms.

But to the point, is the assumption that homosexuals enjoy sexual and romantic relationships exclusively with members of the same-sex a homophobic attitude? This certainly suggests a predisposition to certain behaviors that may inform others, including tangential dispositions towards members of the opposite sex. This assumption is certainly neither "discriminatory" nor would it be unexpected.

For instance, having an avatar of two spacemen passionately liplocking might not be an optimal choice for a heterosexual man. In fact, I've had no particular evidence that you were a man at all. You could've been a teenage girl who simply enjoys the sight of men being intimate with other men, a common enough sentiment concerning that demographic, but you immediately assumed the statement was centered around your homosexuality, validating the very prejudice you purportedly denounce.

Could it be that other sentiments and dispositions are related to sexuality?
