Mods are unable to IP ban; neither are admins, it seems. And as many have remarked, whoever would want to circumvent IP bans can do that, no problem there. Switching to a new forum in September without having MORE security against spambots and trolls instead of none at all was a grave mistake on Telltale's side, but until a new forum is implemented, there's not much we can do about this. Formerly, the UBB option of killing off an account with all its posts with just one click held both trolls and spam halfway at bay; but such an option can't be implemented in a forum with a nested reply structure because all replies would be killed off as well.
So essentially, this is a question of endurance.
What trolls feed on are your replies. Reacting to them by making a lot of panicking threads ("He's back! Don't go into ... thread!") is the best food trolls may get. I guess the personal message bug isn't fixed as well, so you can't inform a mod to help with the cleanup. I hate the situation as it is, but the only thing you can do at this time is to just ignore the guy.
