No. Kenny started that fight at the dinner table. There's nothing wrong with homosexuality, but Kenny's "match" comment was pretty much "lol… more u guys gay?" Then he starts being a dick to Luke.
Kenny: You ever heard of a place called Wellington?
Luke: Wellington? The hell is that?
Kenny: A place.
Luke: What kind of place?
Kenny: A good one, Einstein.
Then he says it's near Michigan. Nick asks "Michigan?" because, HOLY SHIT, fucking MICHIGAN? Disbelief is absolutely an appropriate reaction to possibly having to walk the distance it would take to reach that. Then Kenny continues being a dick by asking if Nick's got a hearing problem. Typical. When that argument started, I didn't hesitate to tell Kenny to stop because he started that shit.
Yeah because obviously pushing on someone's chest turns them into a walker faster (don't try to think I'm making stupid suggestions because … morethat itself is stupid) for all we know his mouth moving could've been a reaction to the CPR telltale neither confirmed nor denied what that breath meant it was left up to the player to decide whether Larry was alive or mot
It moves in a completely different way to before with the Cpr for no other reason.
He was alive, and people's liking of Kenny is blinding… more them to that truth.
Kenny was RIGHT to try it and arguably right to murder him, but that doesn't stop him from being incorrect!
The people don't hate Kenny, In TT forum almost all people hate Luke.
I like both of them, but Luke is the number one for me.
I saw al… moreot 'i hate Luke" threads in TT forum. The next big good (bullshit) thread " I think Winston better person was than Luke, de didn't deserved to die". i think this is possibly too.

Even though I like Kenny, and even though we're pals, that doesn't mean I agreed with him all the time.
The things I didn't agree with hi… morem on were....
1: Looting the station wagon, ( Even though the group was in need, I still didn't feel it was right or acceptable).
2: Using the girl at the drugstore as bait, ( Even though it would have bought us more time, I couldn't do that. I couldn't let her suffer).
3: Having Kenny euthanize Duck, ( Even though Kenny felt it was his duty as Duck's father, I volunteered to do it, after seeing how hard it was for him. Plus, I firmly believe no parent should ever have to do something like that. That's a belief I've always held).
4: Kicking Ben out of the group at Crawford, ( If I did that, then I was acting no better than Crawford. Plus Ben was just a kid, who didn't mean any harm).
5: Dropping Ben from the Bell Tower, ( Even though both Kenny and Ben wanted me to, I couldn't do it. It wou… [view original content]
Other people have already said this, but basically, I hate how I could be perfectly nice to him, help him out, and agree with him on certain things, but if you disagree with him ONCE, for ANY reason, he suddenly hates your guts, to the point where he almost lets you die. The whole game was basically "Kenny's way, or he hates you"
I liked Kenny's character at first, but his constant black and white attitude and anger towards Lee for no reason really turned me away from him. It's the one thing I disliked about season 1, that Kenny's character was just badly written and annoying. And he's already being the exact same character in season 2, and i'm already sick of it. I'm going to let him die/ditch him at the earliest opportunity.
I'm constantly surprised by the amount of Kenny fans, did all of these people agree with everything he did? was he really that much of a saint in their playthroughs?
The memetic god status Kenny has and the hero worship just annoys me honestly.

Plenty of reasons not to like Kenny I think! Two part post here though. Here's what I have to offer for Kenny is bad side.
Kenny can be a cruel pragmatic man whose focused on being a leader. He'll kill an old man, ignore saving a teenager, force someone to shoot two children point-blank, cause a fight that costs people their lives, hold vendettas on people he knows if they don't support him even if a little girl might die. He argues constantly with Lilly without letting up, even after he kills her dad. He advises letting a girl suffer so you can get one more package of medicine. He can be an asshole. A major one. A murderer too. There's plenty of reason to dislike Kenny. There's probably more then what's listed here.
Episode 1
Runs away with Duck and doesn't TRY to save Shawn.
Ends up possibly punching a guy who just saved his life and is concerned his son is bitten.
Episode 2
Brings a survivor into camp and argues with Lilly. Food shortage evident.
Trying to leave with an RV and causes more trouble in the group because of it.
Suggests they can overpower the farmers if they just want the farm.
The Urban Comment.

Kenny abandons Lee to die if Lee didn't help him.
Kenny heavily advocates stealing from the car, and is one of the first to do so.
Episode 3
Kenny wants you to not kill a bitten girl to buy more time so you can get around 20 packages/bottles of supplies. Even though you can do it without shooting her.
Kenny doesn't help Lee push up a door as he's pinned by Walkers and could have died. If you aren't on good terms with him.
Kenny commences another argument with a stressed Lilly after killing her dad. No regrets.
Kenny ignores his family's need unable to face the truth. Obsession with Boat Plan.
Kenny needs to literally be talked down or beaten up for him to recognize he's fucked up with Duck. Or beat Lee up.
Potentially makes Lee have to kill a child. But this is your decision potentially.
Gets in the way of getting your map.
Episode 4
Kenny faces the decision with the little child again.
Kenny's boat plan fails for a few hours. Angry.
Kenny gets drunk and lets Clementine wonder off.
Kenny vs Ben at the worst possible time.
Advises killing Ben.
Kenny will not save Clementine at all if Lee hasn't shown support to Kenny. This little girl will be allowed to die or worse, because he doesn't like Lee.
Episode 5
Argument with Ben outside house.
Argument with Lee in the attic.
Randy Tutor has a better stache then Kenny. Ohoho.
Episode 2
Roughly takes a package away from Sarita
Instigates a fight with Luke and Nick
Starts a fight on Carver and his men and indirectly costs two people their lives. Or one depending on how you play it.
Now. Kenny has alot of redeeming qualities to him too. Kenny is a family man, and looks out for the people who support him, and sometimes the people who don't. He can be annoying but he does his best and while he's definitely not a planner, he's very good in the moment. Pair him up with somebody who can think things through, and they'd be nearly unstoppable.
Episode 1
Saves Duck.
Offers Lee a ride to Macon.
Tries to defend Duck's rights to be checked for a bite and not thrown out and killed.
Shows Regret over not saving Shawn. Feels like he killed him.
Is a good leader when Lilly and Larry take a tumble for the worst.
Saves Lee regardless of how you treated him.
Episode 2
Helps hold off Walkers while Lee is stuck with the bear trap.
If you feed his family he shows gratefulness to you and Clementine. Offers you in on his RV plan.
Is concerned about the farm and if it's dangerous. Considers conquering it in the worst-case scenario.
Follows up on what he suspects and finds a strange bloody room.
When locked up in the Meat Locker, he knows his family is at risk, especially because Katjaa is a vet. His son is at risk. Everything he loves and cherishes. So when Larry might turn and kill him before he has the chance to possibly save his family, and also when Clementine, Lee, and possibly Lilly are at risk he panics and kills Larry. He reassures himself he made a life-saving decision because he can't acknowledge the fact he could've murdered a man.
Helps Lee out if he's in danger, if supported.
Episode 3
Saves Lee from being possibly killed by Walkers when the door collapses in the Pharmacy.
If supported, he doesn't give a damn if you're a murderer.
Readies his RV and saves everyone from a bandit attack.
Let's Lee decide what to do with Lilly.
Reveals Duck's bite to Lee out of respect and honesty.
Helps driving the Train where it needs to go.
Listens to Lee if talked down, especially considering his family's condition and how often he likes to deny things.
Keeps going to try and get a boat, instead of giving up.
Episode 4
Heads down with Lee to the docks to try and secure a boat.
Figures out what the Boat would need to work so he and others can use it.
Gets the Gasoline for the Boat.
Gives Lee a gun when they're escaping Crawford which ends up saving his life.
Will go with Lee to save Clementine if supported, claiming they're like family to him now. Will even put up with Ben who indirectly killed his family.
Episode 5
Is willing to cut off Lee's arm if it saves him or he wants. Unless Christa and Omid are there and do it instead.
Kenny makes amends with Lee in the attic saying they went through alot of shit together, enemies or pals.
Kenny risks his life for Christa or Ben. With Christa he saves her, but with Ben he likely kills Ben so he doesn't have to face his worst fear.
Episode 2
Welcomes Clementine in his group and feeds all of her people.
Talks about the past with Clementine, offering comforting words.
Offers to let Clementine stay with his group.
Tries to save the group from Carver, and ALMOST does on certain circumstances. ALMOST.
Now. Kenny has alot of redeeming qualities to him too. Kenny is a family man, and looks out for the people who support him, and sometimes th… moree people who don't. Thank you.
But all I did, is tried to do the right and decent thing.
Next to taking care of Clementine, doing what was right and decent, that was job 1 for me.
I am, and will always strive to be, a man of principle.
And I'm very proud of that!
And when I said Clementine influenced some of my decisions, she did, but sometimes only to a point.
For example, when it was put to a vote as to whether Ben would be booted out of the group or not, I had already made up my mind that I was going to vote for Ben to stay.
And after Clementine voted for him, it reinforced my decision to have him stay.
I don't consider myself a badass, I generally did try to resolve things peacefully.
But when it came like to the St John's, I killed Danny, thus avenging the poor woman he killed in the forest.
As for Andy, I stopped myself from beating him to a pulp, and decided to show him mercy.
And I did spare Andy, refusing to let him provoke me into killing him as well.
And when Lee caught up with the stranger, I had Lee strangle the guy with his remaining hand.
That man was to dangerous to be kept alive.
Plus, sparing him wasn't an option anyway!
But even if it had been, I wouldn't have done it.
As if I had, he more then likely would've have just kept coming after Clementine, Kenny and the others, as he had been doing.
Dude, you are a badass and did exactly what I did. You deserve my like. Clementine influenced nearly all of my decisions, but I'm already an Idealist, so I wasn't going to do anyway.
Okay, maybe "badly written" was the wrong wording, but I don't think his character was handled in the best way. It annoyed me because he is such a black and white character that it made all choices regarding him black and white too. And for a game that was all about flexibility and choices, Kenny's character just didn't fit well.
And yes, there are people like that in real life (my parents can be like that too) and I hate them for it. Kenny was an exaggerated, irritatingly over the top version of a person like that, and his entire role in the game seems to be to cause as much conflict as possible with whoever is currently in charge. (see, Lilly, then Lee, then Luke... hey they all start with L).
I was more interested in resolving things peacefully, rather than trying to appease a child like Kenny who was likely to backstab me at any moment if I said the wrong thing even once.
Kenny is a good guy, but he is very fickle with his friendship with you (unless that is bad coding). You support him 100% and he still finds a reason to not follow you/hate you/complain. I do actually like him and I was happy to see him this season as I was convinced he was dead, but I'm not surprised he is angry with Clem in the next episode (depending on your choices) like the way is with Lee. He's a good guy but very annoying and a bit of a loudmouth.
"Starts a fight on Carver and his men and indirectly costs two people their lives. Or one depending on how you play it."
This is very true. In the real life at the hostage situtation, the police don't shoot like a crazy, because the bad guy killing off all hostages. This time the best thing, if you stay calm.

It might have something to do with Kenny always running away whenever Lee needed his help. Maybe because Lee's urban. When my older bro was playing, every time he had to make a decision involving Ken, he'd always just end up saying "F@$# Kenny." Still not 100% sure why.
I saw alot "I hate Luke" threads in TT forum. + When i read the forum "Luke is a traitor, he is a coward, Kenny was a big hero, when he shoo… moret Carver bla, bla, bla.
Almost all Kenny fan hate Luke.
i like Luke. He is a smart character, cold head, etc.
I did, and Mark heard a rumor that Lilly was giving Larry extra rations just because she could. Is that what a good leader would do? And lets say she was the leader of the group, (Which my Lee said Kenny was, its really up for the player to decide) it doesn't give any excuse to fire up on her own group.
She was under immense stress of course, I can understand that. But you have to be under immense stress to be a leader, and she couldn't handle that.
Kenny is a hothead. And the only way to keep him happy is to agree with him on every single single problem. And he talks a big game about "doing what's necessary" after killing Larry, but when it comes to his son he's in denial. That's hypocrisy. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Kenny, but he's not exactly the best person.
Yeah, Kenny's an asshole, but he's still a great character. The beauty of his character and the choices involved with him is that you can choose to be his best bud or completely hate him. And I like how that reflects not only in Lee's feelings towards him, but also ours. He could either be that guy who's had our back since the first episode, or that asshole who we're stuck with for most of the game.
I don't think he was ever supposed to be like Lee or Clementine, where the entire fandom adores them. He's supposed to be a character that some people love, some hate, and others are on the fence about - just like our choices about him in the game.
That one decision that causes him to pretty much hate you is a realllly big deal though. I don't get why people down play it so much.
I'll quote myself from above:
"I can understand why he would be very upset with Lee in that situation. Kenny didn't want to have to smash Larry's head in, but he knew what had to be done in order to ensure the safety of everyone else. I'm sure it wasn't an easy thing to do, he even stated how much he needed Lee's emotional support. If you make him act alone in smashing Larry's head in, it makes him look like a villain even though what he did was actually fairly heroic and selfless."
Also, Kenny's decision making generally wasn't black-white at all. He almost always had the right idea about things.
Honestly a ton of people don't like Kenny for the simple fact that hes somewhat mean to you if you do something stupid. (I don't mean that offensively either. We all made mistakes while playing the game, presumably). He was also a little brash at times.
Other people have already said this, but basically, I hate how I could be perfectly nice to him, help him out, and agree with him on certain… more things, but if you disagree with him ONCE, for ANY reason, he suddenly hates your guts, to the point where he almost lets you die. I think Larry was one of those times when I DID agree with Kenny though, and that's what made his later anger and mean-spiritedness all the more jarring. It annoyed me that when I agreed with him on some of the big things, he would later claim "You are always against me" because I disagreed with some others.

I'm assuming you're talking about him not going with you to find Clem, right? If you helped him with Larry I don't understand why he wouldn't go with you if you had sided with him on other things. What particular disagreements did you have with him? There were only really a couple of instances where I didn't agree with what he was saying, and he was never too angry with me for disagreeing with him. Same for my brother. Heck, on his play through Kenny beat the snot out of Lee at one point (provoked) but still ended up giving him the "bro speech" at the end of the game.

Yes he was in denial about Duck, but isn't that understandable? At least its possible to talk sense into him (it's not difficult to do so what so ever).

But why even bring it up in a negative light then?
And to go back to your original post, yeah he was a little touchy when disagreeing with him, but he almost always had the right idea about things and was looking out for the best interests of the group. Honestly other than the Duck incident, I can't think of a single time that he was wrong about something.
Depending on how you look at it, the boat was a pretty bad idea. Actually finding a boat 3 months into the apocalypse is a huge stretch, and what would they do then? Going to the islands wouldn't last very long.

I THINK there are other factors that can come in to play like choosing to save Duck back at the farm, defending Duck against Larry, and generally choices involving his family that come into play as well.
My main problem with Kenny is not that he isn't a good person - I think he IS a good person - it's the fact that all of his fans regard Kenny as a hero for looking after his family and killing someone to try and help the group, but view Lilly as the devil for doing the same (probably because they think looking after a woman and child is much more respectable than looking after your father, plus the fact that they don't like Larry).
Lilly and Kenny are essentially the same person in different circumstances.
And regardless of whether his decision in the meat locker was right, leaving Lee to die like he did if Lee doesn't side with him was a serious,k serious asshole move.
I'm not going to take the time to re-read through what everyone has said, but here are my two cents:
Kenny is not a bad guy. Like, not ev… moreen close. Why do people bring up the fact that he "killed someone in front of their own daughter" like it's something he did for no particular reason? He did it to save everyone's life. What is so hard to understand about that? If Larry would have turned, everyone in that meat locker would likely have been killed, including a little eight year old girl. Given that, how can you honestly say Kenny did something bad/evil there? It just does not make any sense. He knew what had to be done, and he made the hard decision to save everyone else.
Sometimes the guy isn't always the nicest, but I don't think hes that way because he is cold hearted or anything. I'd say hes blunt and straight to the point. That being said, he is a very smart guy and generally has the right idea about things anyway. As we saw with t… [view original content]

Yeah, Kenny and Lee were the ones who got shit done.
On the other hand Lilly couldn't run a lemonade stand even if she tried.
Oh, those are just the Kenny fanboys getting their panties in a bunch. Don't mind them. The majority still like Luke.
Dragon clearly you didn't play Season 1.
Lilly was the leader of the group and had the tough decision of deciding who got to be fed.
Well yeah it's understandable, but it's still hypocritical to an extent.
I honestly can't remember at this point :P
^ This.
For it being a huge stretch, everyone in the group seemed pretty on board about the idea. It was better than doing nothing at all, and it didn't hurt to at least try.
The Kenny fans found us.
True. It happened in Season one
Whether he was dead or not doesn't matter in questioning whether Kenny was doing the right thing, sure.
However, it does matter when facing the wuesdtion of whether what Kenny did had the best outcome. Which it didn't.
It also led to the death of Carley/Doug as well, so...
Did you or did you not give Clementine food because she was a member of your apocalypse family?
Do you think Kenny wouldn't give food to his son and wife?
Lilly did what we would have.
