Probably yes but no official words from Telltale about that. Only that we need to "stay tuned for a closer look and release dates to be confirmed".

Good morning everyone! Nice to see you again.

We started a new day in our wait. I'm super happy and I'm waiting for Saturday. Really though, it's so painless now that I don't wait impatiently for Playing Dead. I just...wait for playing Dead. I wonder will we get something today, who knows.

    Soooo...Let us wait! :)

Games are done a week or two before the release believe me! But TWD I don't know but I give you right it must be done by now.

The game is already classified, which means: IT'S DONE.

  • Oh. Weird. Oh well, who needs puns :D

italicizing or bolding is not working.

  • My feelings about the screenshots: Damn. (In a good way)

We should probably have a trailer in the next Playing Dead on Saturday.

And for people complaining about the amount of time it takes for the next Episode are complete dumbasses who will only complain even more when they realize that the less time on anything means lesser quality, just look at Call of Duty.

And how do people know that it only takes 3 weeks to make the Episode, and the rest of the wait is the "classification"? Do we have an official saying on that from Telltale? If that is true then fuck consoles and just release the game on PC before those other guys :P. Except if Steam also requires the same classification...
  • Hey! Me! ;-;
I need some fun while waiting here :'D

  • Steam also requires classification. We know that episode was completed 2-3 weeks ago because you can't sent incomplete product for classification. It take month or two for Telltale to complete episode and then we (and they) must wait for classification which usually takes week or two. I mean... I think that this is how it is.

They can't because (UNFORTUNETLY) every game (on Xbox, Playstation, Steam etc.) even if a game isn't on steam (for example) requires classification. Same as books, movies, etc.

  • Totally a valid source! Because every Episode takes TOTALLY the same amount of time to make, such as Episode 3 of Season 1 and Episode 2 of The Wolf Among Us takes TOTALLY as much time as the rest, totally!

  • I'm not an expert in terms of publication and what not so I'll need some deeper explanation, why is this the case even for their own store? I just don't see what it is.

Telltale is a Indie company that has no issues in that sense with some bullshit company such as EA or Activision, so that's obviously not stopping them.

  • I don't know how can I explain it to you diffrentely. You just need to accept that every product such as games or movies require classification. Every product. It dosen't matter where it will be avaible for purchase. I'm sorry but that just the way it is.

Puzzlebox said that they sometimes send a incomplete episode for classification to make the release process faster.

    Her quote

To expedite the release process for an episode, we often send an unfinished version of it to ratings bodies. As long as all the blood and gore and language and stuff is already in there, it's enough for them to give a rating without the product actually being ready for release.

Hm... you know, you're probably right but in this case episode was already completed if we can believe Melissa Hutchison. She said in the Playing Dead (it took place somewhere in the middle of the april, I think, so in the same time when classification started) that they've done all of recordings for episode 3. If I'm not mistaken of course. :)

Well It doesn't mean that episode was complete actually but it could be. There were other signs of it but I don't want to look for them now. I'm too tired because of the stupid weather outside of my house.

Games needs to rated before being released. No matter what.

Mainly, games differ from each other (obviously), that's why they need to be rated for the consumers to know what the games contain like Nudity, Mild Humor, Violence and the like. On Episodic games like TWD and TWAU, the episodes will have to be rated separately.

HSPLazerz is correct to assume that the PC versions of the game do not require a formal classification process (neither Steam nor Telltale Store). However, the tidbit that is missing here is that consequently, the PC versions are the ones which are programmed and finished LAST. The hopefully final build of the console episodes has to be transmitted at least 14 days before release. As soon as that is secured, Telltale gets to bringing that PC version up and running. Considering the console circumstances, that's the natural way to plan the schedule.

Of course, they're also specifically aiming at near simultaneous releases cross platform. So even if for some curious reason the console or PC builds are finished early, they wouldn't release it just because.

Next time, do be kind enough to edit your new thoughts into your previous comment, rather then starting another, as that can clutter up the forum^

  • I love the TWAU too, but I played through them already. Also I don't wish to replay the game until the end of the season, in order to maintain my "canon" choices.

I'm on the same boat as you :). Why are people complaining? They could play TWAU while they wait. It has so many epic moments in it. Snow is such a strong woman, and not afraid to fight for what's right...

  • I'm not too sure since I don't play on the PS3, but I think it should be fine since when you do a search for the season pass the search results show you've purchased it. :) If you're concerned about it, I'm sure someone in the PS3 Support Thread could be of better help to you.

Thank you so much, I'll try this when Episode 3 is released. Oh and one more thing.. My Seasons pass doesn't show up at my view downloads page in the PSN store but when I search TWD S2 season pass, it says purchased.. Is that normal? @Oomi
