Songs that should be in TWD Game

And not just the credits. I think an amazing credit song would be "Ill follow you into the Dark", the AD cover. But, for a scene where Clem is just walking alone, the perfect song would be "Alone in the Dark" by Vadim Kisselav. What do you guys think?

  • kind of cliche at this point, but Hurt by Johnny Cash

'Everyone I know, goes away, in the end...'
  • "Laughter in the Rain" by Neil Sedaka.
  • Well I don't think songs with lyrics should be in the actual game unless it's through some sort of radio or whatever like Walk Among the Cobras was :P

Although I do love anything that Death Cab for Cutie makes, all of their songs have meaning which is good for the walking dead... depending on what that meaning is.

IDK if this would work, but for an action scene, Monster- Kanye West

Blue Oyster Cult-Don't Fear The Reaper.

I think it would work to some degree. And no, that's not the only song I know made by them, but I don't think "Screams" or "She's as beautiful as a foot" would work:).
  • My Body is a Cage by Peter Gabriel (Better suited for an adult male protagonist though, like Lee)

How about this one for a credits scene? :

    There's 3 songs I can think of.

    1. Lucy by Skillet

    2. Never Gonna Be Alone by Nickelback

    3. Burn It To The Ground by Nickleback
  • I like Heart of a Lion, and Rain, by Kid Cudi. Heart of a Lion would be a good theme song for a heroic character, while Rain would be a good song for a loner character.

How to save a life- the frays(Feel Clem feels she wished she could of saved Lee, her parents life etc and feels responsible but this song when playing will shows it was impossible for Clem to ever save them even if she wanted to if placed at right time could be effective in my opinion

Somewhere over the rainbow Israel IZ(sets tone even when all hope is lost and road seems dark this song is about in my opinion constant battle and belief in a brighter tomorrow no matter the circumstance

Love both probably not suited but still pick them
  • Is that sarcasm?

It wouldn't match the game at all :p

Human by Daughter. I like that song and it reminds me of Clementine. Wish I could post it but the lyrics in part of it go like this:

Underneath the skin there's a human
Buried deep within there's a human
And despite everything I'm still human
But I think I'm dying here

    Waking up like an animal
    I'm all ready for healing
My mind's lost with nightmares streaming
    Woken up (kicking screaming)

Take me out of this place I'm in
Break me out of this shale case I'm in

    -

For the fun of all the "In the Water, In the Pines" stuff, the same singer does have a song called 'In the Shallows' but I'm not sure it matches with the game completely:

    Let the water rise,
    Let the ground crack.
    Let me fall inside,
    lying on my back
    lying on my back

    Dry your smoke-stung eyes,
so you can see the light.
    staring at the sky
    watching stars collide
    watching stars collide

    If you leave,
    When I go...
    You'll find me,
    in the shallows.
    -

But, I still like it XD both tracks have this sort of nice guitar thing with it, they're worth listening to.
  • Plateau by the Meat Puppets OR Something in the Way by Nirvana
  • Let me just say though... Drink the Water by Justin Cross = Fucking amazing.
  • Could be the theme of Carver's crew. Otherwise I agree, even though it's a damn good album/song.

  • Michael Jackson - Thriller. The characters could dance. Maybe that's the key to defeating the zombies. 80's dancing!!!!!!!!
  • I don't like to say music is 'good' or not because it really depends on taste, however I don't really know why it would fit with what we've seen of Carver?

He's a very cold, calculated, intelligent man.

That song seems to match more kind of...reckless characters.

I do like to say music is "good" or not because to my taste it either is or it isn't, and I don't much care what anyone else's opinion on it is. In this case you might think it's bad, but I still think it's good, and anyone saying otherwise isn't going to change that.

Anyways, I agree that CFH is about characters a bit more reckless, however, minus the death of Johnny the mere mention of Carver has had the cabin group running with their tails between their legs. Carver's group has been portrayed as untouchable bad asses, at least I think so, with the exception of one death of course. That's about the only connection there is between the two though.

  • I don't think they're untouchable. I mean, he's clearly overly emotionally involved with the baby, he's shot in the shoulder if Kenny is an idiot, he knoqws exactly who to bring out to stop him from shooting.

I don't know, he just seems more ambiguous than 'lol I@m an unbeatable badass an ur gunna fall b4 me!!one!' :p

  • I don't think he actually is a complete and utter bad ass like that, I'm going by how he is portrayed, specifically by the cabin group. With that in mind I'm then considering portions of the lyrics.

    You see us comin'
And you all together run for cover
    We're taking over this town

    ...

Pillage the village, trash the scene
But better not take it out on me
'Cause a ghost town is found
Where your city used to be
So out of the darkness and into the light
    Sparks fly everywhere in sight
From my double barrel, 12 gauge,

Like I said, the cabin group flees from even the mention of Carver. Then when we first see Carver and his peons they are walking in guns ablazing, and taking everyone from the lodge. The connections are very slim, but I was able to find a few. Like you said though, the overall theme of the song doesn't fit.

  • It's time by Imagine Dragons: (Especially the part that says "The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell, right to the top"

So this is what you meant
When you said that you were spent
And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit
    Right to the top
    Don't hold back
Packing my bags and giving the academy a rain-check

I don't ever wanna let you down
I don't ever wanna leave this town
    'Cause after all
This city never sleeps at night

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
    Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

So this is where you fell
And I am left to sell
The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell
    Right to the top
    Don't look back
Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain-check

I don't ever wanna let you down

This road never looked so lonely
This house doesn't burn down slowly
