  • It's not TTG fault entirely because after classification was finished the only thing that is on their way is Sony and Microsoft. Why? Because Telltale tweet about the fact that they're waiting for release dates to be confirmed on every platform, including Xbox and Playstation. They'll release episode 3 when release dates on every platform will be confirmed for them in 100%.

Can we stop blaming Sony/ Microsoft and the classification process for it taking so long ? That is the most dumb thing I have heard. If, as

  • Sony takes A LOT of time to approve even the most simple patch. Imagine what it takes to approve a whole episode or game.

I remember that I waited for almost 5 weeks for the ME2 ps3 patch (one that fixed a save corruption bug). Couldn't play the game until then.

Some of us are over the whole "fault" idea, know full well that Telltale can't keep their advertised schedule this year and are exclusively interested in answers to the questions: "Where is the episode now?" and "When's it coming out?".

Are you aware that all game developers send copies to their partners for approval before they release? But we don't notice it in other games because we're waiting for an episodic game in which each episode must be submitted and approved.

I just don't understand how that makes sense to you? How are you blaming a company that has nothing to do with the game . . .? If the game i

  • Do you not realize how dumb that sounds? Seriously, I know I'm coming off as an asshole but seriously I feel like I am talking to a brick wall. How can someone blame classification ? If you have a problem with the actually process of classification (as in the time it takes to classify) that is a different story, but most if not all of you are BLAMING Microsoft and Sony trying to find a scape goat for Telltale. I mean its actually humorous.

Telltale MAKES and IS RESPONSIBLE for the game. They can submit the game EARLIER so that they can release it on time. Clearly Telltale is behind on producing the game or just inefficient in other areas. Everyone is saying "it'll be rushed and bad" . . . who are you to say the game would be rushed/ come out a lower quality ? ?

How can TT be held responsible for the time THOSE companies take to classify it? As of now the only things that are TT's "fault" is making a

  • I see, your blaming Telltale because you think they should have submitted a fully functional copy to Sony/Microsoft a month ago? You're saying that Telltale took too long to produce the episode? You try creating a branching story episode based on the choices of the previous two in 4-6 weeks and then tell me they take too long.

I just don't understand how that makes sense to you? How are you blaming a company that has nothing to do with the game . . .? If the game i

And who are you to say otherwise? I mean... look at you. You are doing exactly the same thing.

Do you not realize how dumb that sounds? Seriously, I know I'm coming off as an asshole but seriously I feel like I am talking to a brick wa

  • It is its fault tbh.

If they were to focus more on their "current" games rather than their "prospective" ones, we'd have gotten the episode already.

THEN we'll take their 14 extra days into consideration.

Content certification process can take up to 14 days, at least on Xbox It's not Telltale's fault, they can't do anything.

  • Kind of telling that when Telltale didn't have something else to work on, we got The Walking Dead S1 episodes way earlier and they were around 2-2.5 hours long while now we have to wait longer for 1.5 hour long episodes while Telltale is working on 3(!) series at once.

I have to agree. Can't they finished promoting TWD and TWAU first then go with Borderlands and GoT? Sad to say but I'm used to their long waiting before they release the episode.

  • You lucky, i need to wait 3 more years until im done with this crap

  • Ok, let me rephrase. The time it takes for certification is currently affecting the wait, not TT, nor Sony or Microsoft.

  • I agree in sorts, however telltale needs Sony and Microsoft, as telltale is still a somewhat smaller company and it needs funding to keep it's releases flowing, however I don't see why either it takes so long to classify or why they can't have the entire game classified (not individual episodes) I mean everyone on these forums probably know that it's going to be M for blood, strong language, and probably drugs/alcohol. and it would keep their customers happier and have it easier to crank out episodes, on the other hand I'm unaware as to what requirements there are when publishing games.

  • There are two things that we confuse:

The classification boards, like the ESRB, which rate the content based on an early, functional build sent to them and say the recommended age to play it.

There's also the console quality certification system, of which I know nearly nothing about. We are waiting for the console companies to say that the build provided to them is of good quality and give green light for it to release.
