Just reading through the comments and holy cow a lot of you people are so disrespectful to Telltale. They work their asses off for us and t… morery to make us happy but a lot of you guys don't get that so you treat them like shit. Man I love telltale best video game company ever but the fans are unbelievable disrespectful.
I love telltale game but i hate they timer.
2 months for one episode is ridiculous ......
Anybody from TURKEY? can talk on steam about games, life.....
I prefer womans ....
That's one factor. The other is, as previously mentioned, that the PC versions are programmed and finished last to make near simultaneous releases possible.
In many cases, Telltale has reportedly worked on the PC builds until the very last hour before release.
They could easily do that but the console players would rage and they would probably get spoilt if they came onto this forum. It's more fair to try and release to everyone around the same time.
Im a console player myself. I was just wondering why they didn't self publish the release of PC versions of their games in general. Why go through a middle man if you dont have to?

I guess the basic problem here is the middle man monopoly. As a developer of PC games, even if you had your own digital store up and running, you can still be sure that 90% or more of your sales will be through Steam only. That's why most PC developers today don't even bother, such a store is just not a lucrative investment any more and can never reach the same functionality or even popularity. Telltale has started out in 2006, and back then, it still WAS a lucrative thing to attempt. In the meantime, their technology has started lacking considerably. I guess console players usually see the downside of such a developer-publisher dependency much clearer than the PC crowd, who have maneuvered themselves into this dependency completely voluntarily.
Still, while Sony and Microsoft as middle men are "holding things up" here for reasons of quality assurance (which is a good thing!!), Steam doesn't hold up anything at all. They get the final PC build and press "go" when Telltale tells them to, that's all.

They do, they also release via steam. I got Tales of Monkey Island via Steam and when it was due for the final episode, they worked so late with it so the people at steam was gone for the day before they could release it, they released it anyway. I got so mad I almost had a heartattack.. (actually I did something else too, but I don't want to get banned (again) from this forum)

Day 65: Still no sign of a trailer. What started off as a forum full of excitement and speculations has turned into pandemonium and hostility. Some friends have turned against each other, some people have lost their minds, some people have lost all hope, and others have threatened Telltale if they don't play this episode. My mind is slowly deteriorating and so is my sense of hope. I've checked on Twitter everyday to see when we will get that miracle known as news. As Telltale continues to keep their lips sealed, and sending a care package full of "soons", our community of people who had once sticked together, has turned into a verbal blood bath. Some people are even pretending they're at war with Telltale, while others are pretending that they are dying because of this nightmare. We're all losing it. It's becoming too hard to even hope anymore. God help us.

I came back to forums after school to see everyone struggling. Lots of people are starved for news and need them badly. Some of the users have hallucinations, they see things like St. Johns attacking them while it never happens or fights between Lee and William Carver. Even if it sounds very stupid, I also see hallucinations. I saw a dead body next to truck...that's how my mind imagined the trailer...If my mind starts to see things, especially trailers and dead bodies in it, it's not good. But...there's a little light at the end of dark tunnel. This light is called Playing Dead. Even if I hate the owner of the light, Greg Miller, I still see him helpful. I believe Telltale Gods gave him a sign about upcoming videoclip named ''trailer''. But there's two days left to get at the end of the tunnel and see if Mr. Miller has any answers. If he doesn't have any, well then, our travel was useless and 13th May, a blind hope for all users, will perish. If he has the answers, though...God bless him. I can't actually believe that I'm saying this, but I would be happy from Mr. Miller's words. A lot of my forum friends would too. So here I am, hoping the best for my people.
So, there was this time when I went to McDonalds and ordered 20 nuggets and frites because I'm such a fatass.
Some sign says the wait is usually 1 minute or less, yet I patiently wait when the cashier says that it will probably take 3 minutes.
After 10 minutes, I ask where my nuggets and frites are but they don't give me an answer. They just look away and treat other customers.
Then I firmly ask again where my nuggets are, this time louder and more demanding, since I'm hungry.
Again, there's no answer and suddenly, another customer who seems to be a little bit "special" tells me that "quality takes its time" and I'm disrespectful towards the cashier.
While I look at him in disbelief, some other customers are applauding him while other people, who are seemingly also waiting for their order, look at me with a stare that says "just give up".
Now, after about 50 minutes I get my order, but only 9 pieces of chicken and no frites and the cashier tells me that she thought this was the right amount of nuggets for me, since I'm so fat.
Now, this didn't really happen, but it's the closest thing I can imagine for what is happening here right now.
