I think be time skip and be an older Clem and Christa's baby now a child same age of Clem s1 as a team rest of characters will die this season you know telltale( I mean for S3 I just reread thread lol)
I've called it elsewhere and I'll call it here: it'll be Tavia, pursuing Clem's group with her enforcers to seek revenge for the destruction or near destruction of their community.
Tavia as antagonist provides several things.
- Continuity with the beginning of the season. Carver is gone but his community isn't, and there is still a lot to be said and done with the people of that community. In particular...
- It provides a chance to interact with the other 400 days characters, and their stories, in a more meaningful way.
- It provides the threat of pursuit, forcing the group to keep pressing on to Wellington rather than stop for a few days or weeks as otherwise might be prudent.
- And I also think it provides a certain irony factor, since we once played as Tavia, with many people thinking we were doing her work rescuing the 400 days characters. The end of 400 days will look a lot different if we spend the rest of the season with Tavia and company trying to kill us.
That said, I hope Jane isn't turned into the stereotypical hard-ass-girl-who-slowly-becomes-a-valued-ally. I hope she's not Molly. It'd be interesting to see her instead be truly ruthless and self-interested.
I hope that they don't do something that predictable. By now, I think most people are so genre savvy to zombie films and games that any potential sanctuary is immediately assumed to be either run by psychos or will be discovered already wiped out when they get there.
Its been done so many times. Its even be done once already in this very season!
I just hope, for the love of God, that it's not another Stranger situation. As long as it makes narrative sense, I'll roll with any of them being the villain in the end. I can buy into Kenny snapping and becoming the ultimate problem. But if there's another "Hey guys I'm a random guy that you've never seen before that has no connection to the characters and randomly knows everything you did wrong" moment I'm out.
I doubt Jane will have anything to do with it. She doesn't seem like a forcefully-taking-you-away-from-your-friends type. Tavia is possible, for sure, for revenge against Carver. Nate might recognize Mike or Jane and seek to kill them as well. If Sarita dies, it's very likely Kenny will snap, and might even turn psychotic.
As much as I don't trust Kenny anymore and I don't really trust Jane, I don't think they will be antagonists. I personally thin that Tavia and Nate will both be antagonists.
Tavia- Maybe...
Nate- Obvious but only if he comes back
Jane- She wants Clem to split from the group saying that they're all going to die anyway. This could be cool if she became an antagonist.
Kenny- This would be a sad/surprising (kind of) twist seeing as we've known him for a longg time but because of everything that's happened to him, he might become the antagonist. (I'd be sad if this happened though :( )
Tavia would be an interesting one, but I'm going to play a wild card here. There may no longer be a proper antagonist. This could turn into something like "The Grey," where it's the wilderness and the creatures lurking within it that becomes the danger. Wouldn't it make for an interesting twist if Clem and the rest of the group got hunted down by wolves? The wolves among them?
Kenny seem's like an interesting choice. If he is though, he won't be aggressive towards Clem. Clem will be in a predicament that'll call for some kind of action against Kenny or something. But that's my answer, Kenny.
After reading other comments I think it would be a bit too predictable and poor if Tavia came back after them and I don't think it would make a good story. I do think though that Kenny snapping and becoming like Shane was to Rick in the TV show would be very interesting indeed. If it's not that then I hope Nate will come across them and do his funny perverted crazy ass shit instead because he's too good of a character to not be included again!
Even better, it's Clem's hammer! Think about it, Clem dropped the hammer in the water, he was left in the cold for days. He assumed it was an accident and followed Clem to camp Carver so he could forgive her and surprise her, but what he saw was completely disturbing. She was using a sledgehammer! Her hammer had never felt so jealous before. Hammer will remember that for sure, and he is coming back for revenge. Now this could end up in one of two ways.
A: Either the hammer uses it's psychological ways to convince someone like Nate to wield him and use it against Clem.
B: The hammer goes after Clem alone, getting stronger and stronger as the days go by until it eventually grows into a full grown sledgehammer.
lol it wasn't some random guy, they stole his food and Clem talked to him on her walkie talkie so that's how he knew everything, I thought it was done very well although the stranger could of looked more intimidating than just some dweeby man.

I'm aware they took his food. But you can't honestly replay the episode and not feel like the Stranger was the result of them writing themselves into a corner. The entire justification for him taking you is taking his food, revealing that the group took the food regardless of your choice, which makes the whole element of choice stupid and diminishes the meaning of the whole ending. He tells Lee he's an evil person regardless of how saintly your choices are. And he had literally no connection to the group other than owning the car. It had no emotional basis in the story, was severely disjointed from everything that happened before it

If there is a 3rd season the protagonist will either be Clem or a reboot with a different group and location. There isn't room for much else. Besides clementine, the other characters in this season have really just been bit players. No other characters from this season have been developed in the game enough to justify being protagonists next season, and it's too late in the season to develop one now.
I have always felt that Kenny could be a future playable character, as long as he remains a protagonist, I hope that if there is a 3rd season then it is a different player instead of Clementine as it would get boring I think being the same character for more than 1 season, I think it would of been good with Lee but I just don't think season 2 has had as much character emphasis on Clementine as it did with Lee in the first season.

i would actually like it to be Kenny not cause i hate him but it would be a great plot twist also we meet him since episode 1 his dead would be filled with fucking feels
It would be an interesting plot yes and I'm sure it would be a great end to the season if you had to KILL KENNY!! dum dum DUUUUM!!!
To be honest with you I don't think it would be so hard for Clementine to do so, I can remember playing through season one not so long ago and Kenny hardly ever spoke to Clementine or cared about her, plus if you play as a sassy type Clem you can tell people at the lodge that you hardly knew Kenny and she can also tell them that he's a jerk.

I don't really consider Nate a antagonist. He is a good guy in my opinion.. He saved Russel's life when he didn't have to, a bad guy wouldn't do that.
He is funny, charming, a social guy who likes fine spirits. He is down on racism, what is not to like.
If anyone was gonna be the bad guy its probably Jane.

Nate fools people into thinking he's not a bad dude, he did with Russell until he wanted to kill the old couple. Nate is bad but he's a different kind of bad guy, the sort that people can like due to his personality and humour, not the stereo typical villain and he reminds me a bit of Merle from the TV series in a way.

But see, in my view that isn't wrong. It was the Zombie Apocalypse, and those people shot at them first. If i was in the same situation, who knows what would happen. I would of definitely taken their guns/supplies i have no love for old racists. Fight for Survival. No feeling sorry for old racists who shot at you, aint going to keep your belly full.

I just want some Funny Cool male bonding moments like when Nate was talking to Russ. We haven't had much of that in the TWD world and it i find that fact more unrealistic than zombies.
Yeah I miss Nate too, I hope he does comeback and if he does I hope he's as funny as he was. I would love to see him around women and how he would interact with Clem. I imagine he'd be rude to them, can you imagine the things he'd say! lol
