Update request - No images/pics on forums still

So I thought if we keep this thread active and up, mods might notice it and gives us an update on being able to post images on forums.
I know bunch of you guys would love to share your screenshots, memes and other stuff especially now when ep3 is freshly out!

Also I know they said "temporarily" but som ETA would be nice. (other than soon).

What do you guys think?

    I can easily foresee you guys getting images/links back shortly. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out a tangible timeframe, but I promise it's genuinely sooner than later (and I'm not from Telltale so I can say "soon" and mean it :P ).

    As a matter of fact, I spent a lot of time today and last night testing the new mod tools on another version of the forum and fixes are coming along great. When the next forum update hits, you guys probably won't notice a lot of changes on your end besides PMs working. However, on our end, we're getting a pretty massive upgrade to our tools.

    We'll have the ability to merge threads, respond to flagged posts again, ban by IP, prevent certain types of content from being posted, and much more. Also, we will have the option to instantaneously hide all content a banned user has posted from your view. As an even stronger measure, newer users will have a time limit between posting and a captcha, which will hopefully hinder spambots and trolls.

    The big hold up is basically that, after recent forum activity, we decided to disable image posting until the new tools arrived so we can dismantle trolling attacks much quicker. Moderators on the forums are volunteers who are recruited by Telltale and other current moderators, meaning that essentially, we have to wait from the official people over at Telltale to decide how to handle forum updates.

    I don't want to show too much of our hand in terms of Mod Tools, but we will have the ability to prevent certain types of content from being posted.

    Do you mean you don't want to see what trolls post, or your don't like lots of images slowing the page down? If it's the first thing, than worry not - our new tools are pretty robust. If it's the second thing, you can for now work around this by just clicking "hide comment" anytime you see somebody posting a lot of images.

    day: 16 still no images and gifs but we are getting there, it's the final stretch in our wait and we only have to keep our calm/sanity under control until that time, we have lost many in the wait for them to return but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.

    Yea, It's more the second thing I just ignore the trolls instead of giving them attention so I don't mind them. But yeah sure I can hide those posts but I would prefer an option to hide gifs as they have never added anything that couldn't have been written to the discussion.

    Yeah, I agree lots of images on one page can be a bummer sometimes.

    No guarantees, but I've recently requested as a future feature that long comment chains and deeper layered comments with pictures be hidden by default, kind of like how Reddit does. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.

    "prevent certain types of content from being posted", how will that work out exactly? Like, will there be some sort of filter before the image is actually uploaded to determine if it's appropriate or not? Just wondering because I could see problems arising with this (Some posts may get this treatment even if they were completely harmless) So I'm just curious as to how this will work out.

    Unfortunately, from what I've heard on other forums, captchas' won't always stop spambots. However, I imagine it will put a strong dent in the amount you see.

    Additionally, with...
    * flags working again
    * the ability to delete all posts at once after a ban
    * certain new mod tools we have
    * time limits for new posters in addition to the captcha

    ...I can say that spambots will have a much harder time around these parts from here on out once the update hits.
