So what do you enjoy most about Season 2 so far?
This forum has been very critical as of late, not that that's a problem. I agree with a lot of these criticisms, but I'd also like to know what you guys like most about Season 2 so far.
The thing I most like about Season 2 thus far, is the really strong atmosphere. After the opening bit with Christa and Omid, you are thrown to 16 months later and this is the first thing you see
Clementine is older, but she looks very weary, tired and almost depressed. It actually becomes her predominant expression throughout the season. It seems like a subtle way to make the player feel more uncomfortable, and I mean that in a good way. It reminds me of the Mirror Shield from Majoras Mask. Once you obtain it, you're forever stuck with a pained expression looking back at you at all times.
Once I noticed this was her face all the time, it made me kind of sad (Again, in a good way). It really helped set the mood and the tone of the season, and how things did not in fact get better, they only got worse.
Another thing on the "Atmosphere" is actually a very simple thing. The way they did the Main Menu this season is fantastic. They used the theme that played when Clementine was with Lee during his final moments, as the opening. Each episode has a different graphic and a different theme. It's the little things like that, which I really love.
So what do you guys like most about Season 2 so far?

I like the new characters including the return of a specific redneck in a hat and his mullet. I also like the drama, and although very brief I liked Michael Madsen's performance as Carver.
All in All, this deserves a GOTY disc.
I really like Mike and Bonnie! I really hope they don't die in the shoot out or at all... although i feel at least one of them will
Imaging a GOTY with season 1 and 2 (WHEN COMPLETED)and a bonus Clem hat or something,It would be so cool
Yeah, I'm really hoping we get more Madsen for future Telltale games
I like Clementine's adventure.
The only thing that they improved in the is atmosphere with the color palette. Menu and songs at the end of the episodes are awesome too. Sadly, other things are... well there is enough threads about this.
I like how it is about really surviving in the post apocalyptic world and there is no set "plot" but it's just dealing with shit as it comes like Lee said. I like how we are forced to make difficult decisions and interact with characters who could randomly die at any point. I also like how we are growing up with Clementine. I love the menu, the music, everything.
For some reason, I actually really enjoyed the cabin group. Finding a group in the woods who have been through it all and having to survive together seemed really cool.
This voice is too glorious to loose! I'm hoping for more Madsen too.
Well...it's nice to see Clem again.
I guess?
for me this is the best game i ever since raw danger
i hope season 3 contains more hubs and character devploment
Making Clem be really sassy is amazing, the things she can say are golden.
Mostly the new characters from the Cabin Group, they each have very likeable traits.

I loved how Episode 3 changed things up. Carver's personality jumped the shark a little bit, but the oppressive atmosphere and raw tension more than made up for it. Being a captive isn't something you get to experience in most games.
I also enjoy trying to put myself in Clem's mindset and basing my choice off what I think she would do.
THE THING I ENJOY THE MOST IS LUKE
HE IS THE BEST VIDEO GAME CHARACTER EVER!!!!!!
~ I like the new dialogue with Clementine, the sassy comments.
~ the 2nd series feel a lot more darker, both with the villains, and the fact your playing as Clementine, you feel like a little girl in a zombie apocalypse. last series while both zombies and humans were threats, this series it feels like the humans are the most horrific threat then the zombies, in the first series yes you come across both zombies and humans but it focus most on the zombie threat.
~ in the second series you learn more skills as Clementine
~ I really like the interaction between characters, this is seen in both series. Lee was a father figure and Luke is like a brother to her.
~ And the music is really beautiful in the second series, the end credit song fits so well with the episode.
I love the antagonist. Brilliant character, voice, quotes, motives. Overall astounding.
I feel that they really knocked it out of the park with some of the minor characters, Pete and Mike to be specific. I'm also a bigger fan of the environments this Season than I was in Season 1. Then it was either cities or the countryside (not that I disliked those settings, quite the opposite), now we got to go places like a ski lodge, a fortified hardware store, and (my favorite) a Civil War museum.
I like how Telltale have really developed Clem's character this season and also the new characters we have met (even though they aren't as relatable as season 1 characters). Some of the locations have been great too.
Jared Emerson-Johnson's score continues to be awesome.
The look of the game is better than before.
I guess there's something to appreciate about the random nature of how the storylines wrap up, even if it causes the season to feel a bit uneven and rushed.
Each episode getting a cool new look and main screen is a nice touch.
The sense of mystery in episode 1. Even though I know what happens now, there's always this sense of something more than meets the eye going on that surrounds the cabin group.
The atmosphere and more colorful environments.
I love how I feel more vulnerable and cautious because I am playing as a kid. It really encourages me to think carefully about my choices. Playing as a kid has its advantages.
Everyone might be bigger and stronger than Clem, But she can no doubt outsmart a lot of people.
The main menu. Every time, every episode.
The way that we got to decide Nick's fate. I saw parallels to the ways in which Clementine influenced us as Lee during Season One. This time, we had control of her answers and through them either doomed Nick if we don't convince Walt to forgive him or we doom his character by having Walter save him.
The presentation of the cast during the premiere was interesting. We were the outsider, like Ben during Ep2 for these people. We partially got to know what they were like by sneaking around, trying to treat our wound.
Carver's introduction and the whole scene he shared with Clementine near the start of A House Divided. Also, his death, since although I don't hold his character as it was presented during In Harm's Way in high regard, I still cannot deny it was cathartic as fuck.
The Raccoon. Silly, short, and some might even call it inconsequential. I found that... human.
Nick's "Us Guys" small determinant conversation during the beginning of In Harm's Way. Almost made me forget that I thought they [REDACTED].
Nick. I seriously think that Telltale did not plan to make him as remotely interesting as people find him to be. For the record, I don't think that he is the most interesting or developed character of the series, but at the time, he got to be the most relatable and interesting character of this season, early on.
Clementine still has some endearing dialogue choices here and there. I count the either hated or loved "sassy" responses.
The change and variety in sceneries is nice.
Arvo's choice. This was the station wagon reloaded. This time, however, you got to look in the eye the person you were potentially about to rob. A shame there are limitations as to what Telltale can do or chooses to do with their choice and consequence system, though.
I think there is more.
The buildup of a Clementine and Luke sibling-bond (please bring it back, Nick Breckon)
The conflict between Kenny and Luke being played out realistically. These are two men who's personalities contrast and emphasize the others so much. They are both flawed human beings who assume the position of leadership, share the same protectiveness over their families, and act out of their differing ideas of what is best for their survival.
Going off my previous point, I like the inner conflict of who we can trust and who we choose to stay loyal to. There's one guy who was there at the beginning with you, experienced the same deaths as you at the same time. Regardless of how the player feels about him, he's a touch of familiarity that Clementine accepts after being separated for so long from anyone she knows. And then there's another guy who she hasn't known for very long at all, yet embraces her as part of the group and has the potential to be an older sibling she never had. It's a struggle between the past and the future.
The transition of Clementine being able to rely on Lee to being on her own and choosing to either use or abandon the skills and lessons Lee taught her. The world isn't so black and white, and the good thing isn't always the nice thing anymore.
The music.
I appreciated the clear set-up of the cabin group not falling into simple character categories within the first few episodes.
etc.
(Granted, I think Teltltale totally screwed over the execution by killing off the characters in the abrupt manner that they did, but the initial ideas are still there)
