How many of you have been personally insulted by others on here?
First off, there's no need to mention names, as it will just cause more fighting, and that's not the point of this thread.
I know I have, especially if my opinion did not agree with someone else's ideas.
I thought, under the first amendment, I had the right to my own opinions, and the freedom to express them.
Mind you, whenever I did express my opinion, even if I did not agree with the other person, I always endeavored to do so in a tactful; and respectful manner.
I never resorted to insults, nor belittling of another person.
I don't know about yourselves, but I can tell; and it is very obvious to me, that some on here could really use improvement on their social skills.
How about yourselves?

The first amendment of the US Constitution prohibits Congress from passing any laws that restrict your freedom of speech. It has no bearing on whether you can be chastised for espousing ignorant or hurtful statements on a private gamng company's discussion forum.
I have indeed. A couple people here didn't like me very much, and for good reason; I messed up a bunch regarding them. Problem is that they were slow on forgiveness. We were up and down since then, but one day one person began saying things about me behind my back, gossiping. When I found out... I literally wanted to kill him.
Thankfully another close friend calmed me down, and me and the other guy sorted things out.
Of course I have. You post your opinions on the Internet, what else can you really expect?

Not counting trolls, only a couple of times. I don't consider myself the victim, since I tend to give as much shit as I get.
I have, and I'm really surprised these people haven't been permanently banned, literally the first rule of the forum is respect yet they give the exact opposite. It's not that I care about when someone insults me it's actually that I'd hate to see them get away with it and insult someone else, because even though I don't care about insults I know others do and it hurts them a lot.
The only times I get hate or insulted or accused of being a troll is when some sensitive users don't like an opinion of mine or don't like a thought I decide to run by them.
Maybe once or twice since I joined. I don't really remember.

Yes. One time I made a thread about my opinion about House Divided and people keep telling me that the thread was pointless. I don't understand how it was pointless since other people did it.

I agree. Some people have taken things to far yet they don't get ban.

If you are directly insulted on this forum, don't insult back, but do REPORT the post (i.e. flag as offensive).
If you even get harrassed via PM, for the love of all that is holy don't just swallow that. Send that PM to a moderator.
Yes, I know it's "just" the internet. But the communication still is exactly as real as out there in life. Don't eat that shit up.
I don't think I've been the subject of hate much. I know in some cases I haven't been exactly diplomatic in my responses (not that I insult people, but I don't take hold respect for their beliefs in delicate terms [always involving things that really effect peoples lives, IE politics and the such - I can be sarcastic when it comes to gaming, but I'd like to think I'm always respectful])
I did (a few moments ago actually) respond to a really offensive comment in a somewhat offensive manner. I tried to clarify, but I was clearly angry. Both the original comment and my response were (appropriately) deleted.
A couple of times, one time for when I was linking a trailer to TWD Episode 3 and it didn't come out properly (at the time the images and URLs were disabled thanks to a major trollvestation) and a user was telling me to die in a... let's just say horrendous way which took quite the creative mind to be able to come up with such a disturbing death.
The second time for when someone was implying Resident Evil 6 was the worst game he ever played and he knew from 26 years gaming experience. Apparently, I was insulting him back (though I don't see how I was since I wasn't calling him out or using vulgar language, which he done quite a bit) kinda annoyed too, he goes around a forum I used to frequent regularly and now going in that discussion is like placing your nuttsack near a cactus... okay, that might have been overstating it just a little bit. Or a lot.

I don't think you can be on here (and active) for a while without someone insulting you. The question is how you will react to it, and does it even have any importance in the grand scheme of things? In my case, I'll either just let it slide, or try to reply academically, like, "I can see how you would think that, but in my opinion, this other thing applies, because...." Sometimes, if you leave it alone, the other person even realizes what a jerk he/she was and apologizes. Yeah. I know, not often enough.
I wasn't insulted but I was talking some of my choices in series 1, and this user push their ideas about Kenny and love of him as character and called my choices wrong. Yeah my comment had nothing to with Kenny I didn't mention him at all, I was just talking about the dialog in season 1. I replied "please back off, I didn't do anything wrong..." - he spammed my reply, I all most got kick off tell-tale website for doing something that I didn't do.
I don't go anywhere near Kenny's fans, if they show up in a thread I comment on another and get away from them.
Oh yes .I have been both insulted & threaten on here.I expect it from trolls but half the time people are just fucking rude.
I've never taken it seriously. It is the internet after all.
