Not what I meant. Being the better person means not resorting to violence that goes for both genders. Using self defense is perfectly fine, I personally would walk away.
I wrote my post incorrectly, I'm on mobile so its annoying.
That doesn't sound entirely fair. Women can hit, but men should be the better person and walk away? I say anyone who hits another person thr… moreows away any right to protection they had. If a man can be the better person and walk away a woman can surely be a good enough person not to hit in the first place.
No, go with defensive instead of offensive and just restrain her. If you are weaker than her or if she actually is a danger to yourself or o… morethers, than hitting her might be your only option.
A real man wouldn't hit a girl unless it was absolutely necessary. If a girl gets angry and slaps a man, he shouldn't respond by hitting her back. I know that sounds unfair, but men shouldn't hurt those weaker than them (if that is the case with the person who hit them). The girl would of course be wrong for slapping him, but an actual gentleman would defend himself/restrain her instead of resorting to that level.
It's just genetics, woman want to have a man in their life, like a leader. That's how relationships have always been, the man the provider, the woman the follower
It's just genetics, woman want to have a man in their life, like a leader. That's how relationships have always been, the man the provider, … morethe woman the follower, You know what I mean, no sexist. Do What? I doubt I would ever hit a woman either, in that situation, I would most likely just try and stop the argument. But if she hits me really hard, and I tell her to calm down, and she does it again with intent to hurt me, I'm hitting her and asserting my male dominance. But luckily for me I won't ever be in that situation, hopefully at least.
Gary No,
If a woman hits you, just leave the situation. Be the better person man. When a relationship gets to the point of physical violence, the relationship was over a long time ago.

Gender, Age, Race, etc. None of that should matter when it comes to self defense. Retaliate if you are attacked, don't let boobs, a number, and the color of their skin prevent you from doing so.
Not really. I just don't believe your views are accurate.
As a man, I can tell you that I wouldn't want my partner to just be a "follower". I want them to be my equal. Its not about being their leader. Its about being their companion, their best friend, their counter part. You're making it sound like women are looking for a one sided relationship. I suppose I can't really speak for them, but I'm pretty sure they would tell you that you are dead wrong.

As a man, I can tell you that I wouldn't want my partner to just be a "follower… more". I want them to be my equal. Its not about being their leader. Its about being their companion, their best friend, their counter part. You're making it sound like women are looking for a one sided relationship. I suppose I can't really speak for them, but I'm pretty sure they would tell you that you are dead wrong.
Of course she is equal when it comes to many things
All things.
But a woman will always want a leader, a man to provide for them and lead them.
Of course they want someone who can support them. Someone they can lean on. Do they straight up want someone to be their "leader" though? No. I highly doubt that.
So if a 10 year old girl runs up to to you and punches you in the stomach, you would feel justified in decking her? I'm sorry, but we shouldn't be so black-white about this. We need to take an honest look at what is actually legitimate self defense and what is not. Going back to the topic on hand, I wouldn't lay a finger on a girl that posed no threat to me... regardless of what she did to me to begin with. It would be screwed up to hit her if did not actually pose any sort of threat to my safety.

Absolutely. If someone hits you, you should always be able to defend yourself regardless of gender. To those anywhere who say no to this, ask yourself if you want gender equality or female supremacy.

I think it's self-defense if you strike a person and there is a genuine fear of being injured. People acting on instinct or perceived fear shouldn't be persecuted either. We're wired to defend ourselves from harm after all.

Sorry man, that's just how i was raised. I have never actually been in a situation like this before. In fact, whenever i am in an argument, i don't let it get to the point of violence, i usually just walk away. I was just curious to see everyone's stance on the matter.
Gary No,
If a woman hits you, just leave the situation. Be the better person man. When a relationship gets to the point of physical violence, the relationship was over a long time ago.
it depends on the situation. If she's just playfully hit you then no she doesn't deserve to be hit back. If she's crazy and trying to act like a man by domestic violence then yes she should be hit.
Either way a man and woman shouldn't hit each other unless it's for play play, or joking around, or training for something.
P.S
a man probably shouldn't hit a woman because, feminists will be on you, and try to take you down for defending yourself.
Double standards: It's statistically proven that when a man is abusing a female, he gets in trouble for it. And when a female abuses a man, she gets respected and not get punished that much as a man. That's the feminist movement for ya XD
One more thing:
According to TWD game Kenny, it's 100% okay to hit a woman lol. Jane was a threat to him, and his only option was to try to put her down.

Depends how hard a woman is hitting me. If it's a smack across the face, I see no reason why I would need to smack back. If she was literally hitting me to the point of harm, I would have to hit back.
It doesn't mater on gender frankly, when things start escalating that far, you know the situation is going badly.
Women have equal rights in the law and should have equal punishments...in the law.
Hitting someone for hitting you isn't justified. Nor is stealing from someone who steals from you, raping someone who rapes you, etc. etc.
Yes. The whole "you can't hit girls" thing is silly IMO, and this is coming from one. If she's threatening your life, you definitely have the right. Gender shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I don't get it, all feminists aim for is equality in how they're treated alongside men. When men get into fights or get hit, they fight back or deal with it. Women seem to be a bit more resistant to the idea, I mean it's a bit hypocritical how they stride for equal rights but believe they get special privileges when they get hit cause they claim "women aren't able to defend themselves" then that's just a load of bullshit.
You either want to be treated equally or you don't, now I'm not saying violence is justified in any scenario, cause it's not. But it just annoys me how women can ask for one thing yet claim they themselves can have special privileges in the face of other scenarios.
I myself have never hit a woman.
I do not believe in violence against women, children, or the elderly.
If the two are just arguing, then the man has no right to strike her.
Even if she reverts to name calling, and other verbal insults, the man still has no right to hit her.
However if a woman comes at a guy with a steak knife, then the man has the right to defend himself, by any means necessary.
Self-defense is not a crime!

Are we not in the 21st century?

Actually, it is sexist.
Yes but he shouldn't.
I would never though.

.
Its all about figuring out what is necessary self defense and what isn't..
I think it's self-defense if you strike a person and there is a genuine fear of being injured. People acting on instinct or perceived fear shouldn't be persecuted either. We're wired to defend ourselves from harm after all.
As long as that fear is rational, I don't have a problem.
Couldn't agree more.

Yeah, you do have the right to hit back. I've hit a woman in self defence before, was completely justified.

It's as right to hit a woman as it is to hit a man.
That is to say, they're both really really not right.
Following that logic, if all people were like that then gay relationships would be impossible.
Depends how hard a woman is hitting me. If it's a smack across the face, I see no reason why I would need to smack back. If she was literally hitting me to the point of harm, I would have to hit back.

Yes, that's my message.
If she actually tries to hurt you or abuse you or just punch without any valuable reason, of course you have a right to smack her back.
Yes. The whole "you can't hit girls" thing is silly IMO, and this is coming from one. If she's threatening your life, you definitely have the right. Gender shouldn't have anything to do with it.
Its okay, just be the best you can be.
Hitting a woman is like one of the worst things you can do.
I hate guys like that.
Thanks Baby!
Hitting a person*, surely.
Hitting a woman isn't intrinsically worse than hitting a man.
I'm not going to go around and hit a woman, i was only talking about self defense.
Depends on how attractive she is.... I belive

Hit back. But if she's wearing kinky black leather costume, don't. Prepare for more.
Feminists, from what I have seen, don't want female equality; they want female superiority.
I'm sure that isn't always the case though.
