the monster design in Silent Hill 3 is just straight fucked up
i know! the first monster made me scream so loud! i think they call i… moret the boom-boxer, and holy shit, the god boss fight, what the fuck?! not to mention the revenge boss fight at heathers apartment.
Honestly, I think SH3 deserves some praise, it's a good ending to the franchise, and it's got alot of stuff to like about it, and I say that because, everything that came after really made SH3 look like SH2.
it was!
No. Just no.
Good Story
The story of Silent Hill 2 is far better that Silent Hill 3. Is how death affects the … morebest cast of the century (James, Eddie, Angela, Mary, Maria, Laura), and Pyramid Head is still the best monster of the franchise.
Silent Hill 3 destroyed the darkness of Silent Hill(the town itself, not the game), everything that drove the previous games by reducing the town to nothing more that the instrument of Alessa. And, of course, it contains such "classic" scenes like Heather vomiting the fetus, Alessa eating the fetus, etc. Silent Hill 3 is nothing like Silent Hill.
Creepy Factor is way high
Silent Hill 3 has a few unsubtle set pieces, but in Silent Hill 2 we get things like every encounter with Pyramid Head.Silent Hill 2 creepy factor is better that Silent Hill 3 creepy factor. The monster´s designs are superior, the whole encounter with Eddie at the graveyard, the hospital, the… [view original content]
I don't understand why people criticize King's Quest Mask of Eternity so much. Sure, it has a tendency to crash every now and then, but it mixing the puzzle-solving with some decent combat. I'm playing through it properly for the first time and I'm enjoying it.
Sleeping Dogs seems like a very underrated and hated game to me. Who doesn't love a good martial arts fighting game? I love martial arts btw… more. There aren't even many out there. It's different from other open world games released.
And although I'm not a huge fan of the Call of Duty series, I feel like Call of Duty: Black Ops doesn't get the love and recognition it deserves. I guess it's because of the whole, "EW CALL OF DUTY!" mentality that many have today.

I still think it's an awesome game. Maybe not for survival horror, because to be honest I didn't find it all that scary, but for some good action. That's probably the reason why apparently lots of people hate it.
Yeah same here I only know one guy who has played all of telltale games like the walking dead and wolf among us everyone else hasn't got a clue what it is
Nobody else at my school gives a shit about TWD,except for one guy (and myself of course)Yeah I think that counts. They don't care about Mass Effect too.Hell,if it dosent have COD on it they dont give a shit XD
I initially disliked it a lot, especially in comparison to the first game, but I learned to appreciate it with time. Now, I'm not even half as aversive to it as I was before. It still doesn't even come close to Origins, but it's a good game, despite all its flaws.
Mafia 2 is good I've been playing it recently, it's a little too linear for an open world game but honestly I kinda prefer that over GTA since I got sidetracked collecting money and doing sidequests in most GTA games and I ended up not finishing any of them with the exception of Vice City.
The TimeSplitters games were pretty underrated but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about them so it's not like people dislike them, they just don't know about them.
There's also a racing game called Re-Volt that I absolutely love but again it's more like people don't know about it rather than dislike it (Buy it on GOG.com for only... wait forget it, it's been removed from the store, that sucks.), it has great levels, a cool setting and cool cars, it's about RC cars but you have power-ups like in Mario Kart, it's great.
Zelda WindWaker was pretty hated when it came out, seems like everyone changed their minds on that one since it was mostly because of the graphics, still it's my second favourite Zelda game (Majora's Mask is my #1).
Huh... If there are games I like that people hate I wouldn't know about it since I don't pay that much attention to what people say but to be fair I have a pretty good taste in games, so if I like it it's probably good and everyone else is wrong (That's a joke.).
As those below me have said...I think it's mostly because it's a sequel to the generally much better Origins. Other than the repetitive environments and some goofy plotlines and combat quirks, it's a rather solid game if you look at it on its own.

I thought Alessas nightmare was the worst. :,(

My friend's hate MGS but I like it, I think it's because they suck at stealth and hate Japanese games.
Any game on the new generation... Like really I know its a new gen but peoples seem to have way to high standards
Also Mass effect 3, like really yeah the ending was crap but it was still a great game bar that, so many characters were determinant
Sleeping Dogs is basically what True Crime would've been like today if it had been still around.
alessa is the queen of creepy little girls...
thank you, i completely agree
Me too.
Dragon Age 2 wasn't anywhere near as bad as people would lead you to believe.
Spider-Man Edge of Time: Just for its story though. Everything else about it was just crap.
In 2005 it was a good game, now it's not. Someone praise it as it's still the best survival horror game but it's not even that good anymore.
Mafia 2, prototype 2 and Asssassin's Creed 3

I don't know, RE4 is still fondly remembered today.

I just started playing it and I don't really get the hate for it. It's a good game.
Mass effect 3( not really hated, but people hated the ending though I liked it.)
Dead Island
Dragon age 2 (like Sergeant said)
Assassin's creed revelations
Amy
Conception 2: children of the seven stars
Sleeping dogs...
I LOVED Mafia 2!!! Loved it more than GTA
DAO Witch Hunt for one.
I agree with this, though I don't think it's nearly as good as Origins.
I initially disliked it a lot, especially in comparison to the first game, but I learned to appreciate it with time. Now, I'm not even half as aversive to it as I was before. It still doesn't even come close to Origins, but it's a good game, despite all its flaws.
Dead island, Resident Evil 5, Assassin's Creed III, Call of Duty MW2, Halo 4 and Grand Theft Auto IV.
Alan Wake is a great game, I love it too.
