I just went to see Fury then, it was great!
I can't really make a list right now, but I do know I plan to see "Interstellar" since Matthew McConaughey really won me over with his recent roles, mainly Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective. For anyone who didn't see them, do it! Especially True Detective....
Sweet! I want to see it badly. Although I heard the characters were douchebags in one of the reviews I watched.
I think Matthew McConaughey is a great actor. I wish I had seen Dallas Buyers Club and Mud though.
That is true! Even the main character Brad Pitt is a douchebag but he's a douche in a good way if you know what I mean. The rest are sometimes dicks but they are still good.
I'm sure you'll get your chance:). So you watched True Detective, I take it? If you didn't, I highly recommend it(pretty sure HBO might air the first season again at some point).
I pretty much ignored the guy, but once I saw him on "The Wolf Of Wall Street" and heard he won the oscar he caught my eye. So, I decided to give him a chance. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. I haven't seen Mud either, but I heard good things about that movie as well....I will definitely check it out when I get the chance. Other movies that I watched with him are: Killer Joe and The Lincoln Lawyer. Not sure if I will ever watch Magic Mike, though....
Mud, Gone Girl, and Maze Runner have been the best movies I've seen this year so far.
Oh no I haven't seen True Detective sorry. But I have seen The Wolf of Wall Street, and even though Matt had a pretty small role, I thought he friggin killed it in his scenes! I've seen some scenes of Magic MIke and I decided "lol this is not my movie" so I just left it.
I wanna know what you thought about Gone Girl. I'm kind of conflicting between that and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as my favorite movie of 2014.
I think Gone Girl was absolutely amazing, especially that mindfucking plot twist in the middle. What did you think about it?
P.S, I love your profile pic :P
I thought Gone Girl was awesome.
I do have to admit though, I was a bit bored in the beginning, but I am glad that it picked up by the beginning-middle. And dat ending dude...
And thank you for liking my profile picture. TheZorkij is the one who made it for me, so all the credit goes to him.
Planet of the apes
Guardians of the Galaxy
Godzilla was okay.. Wish it showed more fighting than people running. And more monsters.
I loved Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. I'm looking forward to Big Hero 6!
I heard that's why Godzilla didn't have a lot of very good reviews. I hate it when movies mislead you with that stuff. Especially in a movie like Godzilla!
I saw X-Men Days of Future Past at Costco, but I couldn't buy it.
It was a pretty awesome movie, maybe my favorite X-men film.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier takes the top spot for me, as a big comic book reader of Cap, I was glad that people were FINALLY able to see the character done justice. People weren't too fond of him during The Avengers but now everyone loves him thanks to The Winter Soldier. I'm in the camp that goes; "AHA! Fucking told you he was a badass!"
Fury and Guardians of the Galaxy were awesome
I thought Lucy was good....
I'm the only one...Yeah...I thought so...
I would see Lucy, but mainly because of Scarlett Johannson.
It's a confusing and very fast movie but I thought it was cool.
Captain America:The winter soldier was good but am I the only one here who enjoyed Expendables 3????
I enjoyed The Expendables 2 immensely if that counts. :P
Yeah I'm not sure if I liked the 2nd or 3rd better, But did you even see the third?
lol I didnt see it sorry. Wasnt necessarily an eye catcher to me tbh
Really?? Its good??? I thought it was just an action bullshit war movie. Need to see it then
Haven't seen half those movies or some of which yall mentioned. Want to see gone girl, everyone is talking about it. I want to see nightcrawlers. But for me amazing Spider-Man 2
probably amazing spiderman 2, or the lego movie. but today i went to see Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day. it was f-ing awesome.
but then again, oculus was pretty badass.
Heres my Top 5:
5:
4:
does this count?
3:
(i dont care what anyone says, that movie was, inception, badassery, and horror in one package, it was awesome)
2:
1:
(Obviously)
I thought it was entertaining, but lacked substance. There were a lot of plotpoints that just got dropped. In the end I thought it was Nikita recast in Limitless and ending up as a mix of Akira and The Matrix.
Apparently I'm the only one who likes indie movies... (Ironnically they both came out the exact same day...)
The only films I've seen from this year are Need for Speed (didn't like), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (I liked it), The Amazing Spiderman 2 (Meh), Godzilla (meh) and Transformers: Age of Extinction. I want to see Guardians of The Galaxy however, that looks like a great time. The rest of the movies just don't look interesting to me. My favorite thus far definitely has to be Transformers 4. It was my most anticipated film of the year and didn't disappoint. (For me anyway).
The ending is mostly action but not all of the movie.
*Movies that I love in 2014: *
Rise of the plant of the apes.
Gone Girl
Captain America: the winter solider
Guardians of the Galaxy
How to train your dragon 2
Edge of tomorrow
*Movies that I plan to watch in 2014: *
Interstellar
The Drop
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
Exodus: Gods and Kings
The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies
The Water Diviner
I thought the ending was awesome...But yeah had a lot of weird and uncovered plot points.
Also, why are there a bunch of Korean gangsters running around Taipei? It's not like it indicates they're part of an international Korean gang or anything.
X-Men, Guardians, and Apes are my favorites. Got a lot more but those are what stick with me.
Also, most shit movie of the year: Attila Marcel. I feel asleep during it and I didn't even care. It's one of those indie comedies where they think they confuse 'quirky' with 'artistic' or 'interesting.' Plus, the tired Proust metaphor which was beating a dead horse, reviving it, beating it to death again, and then beating it some more. And eating a madeleine by somebody named Madame Proust to remember the past doesn't suddenly make it an art film; it makes a film made somebody who took literature 101, aspiring and failing to be artistic.
I wouldn't say TWD counts, but hey it's ok.
