Well, in my defense, I didn't state Crane would be the single focus of the flashbacks (though I still think his relationship with Abigail Williams is one of the focus, as well as Bigby's learning curve in mundy society).
Yeah, I almost forgot about Hansel (been a while since I re-read the series). Hansel would be an almost certainty. But I wonder where Gretel would be. I remember reading about her storyline (in main series), but can't quite remember what she did before she was killed (in Fabletown) by her brother.
Actually the main focus is Bigby learning rapidly before and during the Salem Witch Trials, which he tried to stop through Crane. There will be one additional character in the Salem flashbacks from the comics if you recall, Hansel.
Hansel will be there with 100% certainty. Crane's relationship with Abigail is the main cause of Crane disagreeing with Bigby throughout the Salem Witch Trials, hence its a huge focus that has nasty consequences. Gretel was arguing with Hansel about the Salem Witch Trials before Hansel killed her and ran off to the Adversary to not be punished by Bigby Wolf.
I loved this issue. Hans seems like an entirely different character for some reason, which is weird since he had like 5 seconds of screen time in the game :P
And I especially loved the Bigby/Georgie scene. Reminded me of what a prick he is.
Can I say how hilarious it is to see Bigby just tearing stuff up and enjoying it, lol. I don't think I had that much fun doing that in game. No hansel but it looks like Bigby is really turning sour on his mentor and John Proctor is in a world of troubl.
It won't be long till we'll see Hansel in the flashbacks though, the flashbacks are still too early for Hansel to be there. Hansel appears right before it gets out of hand.

Yeah, Bigby was really enjoying himself, smashing up everything and stuff.
All in all, the issue did feel a little slow in pace, but that's okay, since we all know it's just small part to move the story forward, with more exciting/fun bits to come.

I laughed a bit when Bigby asked for masterroom key to open 207 in return for him not including Beauty's name in his reports. He then says in the inner monologue 'I wonder how pissed she will be when she finds out I'm including every word of this conversation anyway.' Haha, Bigby being sneaky, gave me a laugh.
Another thing I didn't know before, in TWAU comics, Bigby is banned from being in Open Arms motel. Reasons for this being is unclear, but Beauty suspects it has something to do with the Crooked Man. This was a nice touch.
a lot of profanity thrown around especially in this issue: f@#$^, s@#$, mother-f@#$#%, used several times. I certainly didn't mind (guess this is what happens when emotions run high between characters, well, for at least one of them....., but for those who haven't read it yet, be prepared.
Sigh, Bigby didn't seem as badass as he could have been when I play through the game. He seemed hopelessly overpowered by Beast. Yes, on the outlook, Beast in human form does look like he has more muscle mass than Bigby in human form, but why did they have to make Bigby look so helpless (with exception of jabbing his claws in Beast's eyes)?
When Beast and Bigby go berserk (under Mr. Dark's influence) and fight each other, we saw them for a moment go toe-to-toe, with noone being superior to another (at least at that time)......Hmmmmm......Maybe Bigby has more reserve power stored in for his Big Bad Wolf form maybe?
another short Salem flashback.....just comes to show what a despicable prick Crane really is, and kudos to Bigby for not falling to Abigail trying to seduce him (only one he can fall for is Snow).
another moment not in game: whereas in game Bigby and Beast crash though the Room 207 door whilst fighting (unintentional), here Bigby provokes Beast to charge at him, Bigby dodges, and Beast crashes through the door (purely tactical). I applaud the writers for trying this change.
All in all, good issue, though I still wish they would have made Bigby more better fighter (seems like comics nerfed him quite a bit, it was the same with the Woodsman fight, they nerfed him there as well in issue #1 and #2)
Beast was half-changed and Bigby was still in human form. Goodness, did you see his eyes? I dont think Bigby being a badass fighter is the point. In the comic, it seems like it's more about him using his cunning, which I personally like, since it's a different experience from the playing the game.
Crane must have been talking about Greenleaf which means he's been dealing with her for way longer than we thought.
As for the swearing, if people aren't used to it by now, I don't even know, lol.
This is selfish to say since the comic comes out every week, but each issue is over way too quickly. I'm always left wanting more lol.
The order Bigby looks at clues till finding the envelope is quite different from the game. Telltale should have done it the same way as the comic, leaving the envelope in the book. And we find out who Abigail Williams really is.
But isn't the order Bigby looks at the clues in the game dependent on the player? (just like when you go to Toad's house when he calls you and catch Toad lying in various instances) I'm not sure how Telltale could have changed that.
And yeah, Abigail Williams = Aunty Greenleaf was a sure surprise.

Yep. She is Greenleaf. In the game's extras it said she always has a glamour tube of her daughter who went missing after the invasion of the Homelands.
Also, I was rather surprised that Beast was threatening to kill both Bigby AND Beauty. I know the guy is angry, but he was never that angry back in the game to the point of wanting to kill his wife. Do you think it is good or bad that they made Beast say such a thing?
Excellent point, mate!

I bet Mary lost a child. My backstory for her in my fanfics was a jealous lover killed her newborn child believing it was another man's, so she killed him with a shard of the mirror she looked at herself in everyday, and became Bloody Mary from it

Just thought of something maybe we'll see hansel in one of the flashbacks since he was there at the time
That would be cool to see him and Gretel.
I doubt we'll see Gretel.
Probably not. I wasn't sure if she was still around at this point or not.
She was in Salem only once and died soon after.

Dat ass, Georgie. XD
Think he should be working the pole?

I'll whistle a happy tune or play my Harmonica as he swings up on that pole!
(Hands you a flute glass of champagne)
A toast to this initiative of yours. Let us make it happen!
Wow, a lot happened on this issue:

They show Bigby's fight with Beast in parts. Bigby does throw Beast into the gas pipe. It is 50/50 of the possibilities.

Who? i must know
How about I give you half an answer with a hint?
She's a witch and a fable. The hint is: who's witch?
Aunty greenleaf?
Who else would have a white deer as their trade mark?
So abigail williams was aunty all along?
But isn't the order Bigby looks at the clues in the game dependent on the player? (just like when you go to Toad's house when he calls you and catch Toad lying in various instances) I'm not sure how Telltale could have changed that.

True, but what I meant was after combining the clues the envelope would always be in the book.
And Abigail Williams=Aunty Greenleaf ain't the only surprise given Bigby's look at that moment.
Damn...She was hot when she was young. I wonder why she has grown older or is it another glamour?
She looked a lot like Rachel from the game. Are we to understand that Abigail is Aunty Greenleaf or her daughter?
Im confused so Abigail Williams never existed or she was ms greenleaf when she was younger?
Maybe she chose to grow old, so she wouldn't be recognised as Abigail Williams anymore?
That's what Frau Totenkinder did in a way...
It's hard to tell considering everything.

"As Snow is told the shocking news of who the killer may be, a new flashback chapter unfolds about Bloody Mary's gruesome origins"
@TheZorkij You may wanna read this one dude!!!
Now THIS will be good!!! XD
Seems weird were getting her origin so early though considering she don't appear till the end of the episode
Who cares?! IT'S BLOODY MARY'S ORIGINS!!! XD
True lol. Im kinda hoping they don't try to make her sympathetic i prefer her just being a crazy monster
Even Bigby had a past filled with tragedy...
