  • I didn't really like the Amazing Spiderman films, I much preferred the Toby Maguire trilogy although that might just be nostalgia talking since I grew up with him as Spiderman. Although, one thing I did like about the Amazing Spiderman films was I think that they got Spiderman's humour right compared to the other films but I didn't like that they turned Peter Parker in to some cool hipster kid instead of the massive geek he was as Toby Maguire.

I kind of lost interest when Sony rebooted it and now that it's being rebooted again I probably won't watch the new movie.

I recently rewatched the Amazing Spiderman movies and I am so, so, so pissed that they are rebooting it again. Imo the 2 Amazing Spiderman m

It's a Throwback Thursday review, so I'm probably going to do those types instead.

The best of iron man movies i mean. And i liked it because it had a good story for this 3rd chapter, it was intense, and i liked the enemies (The fire-like people whatever you call them) and it was really funny, and i liked how it ended, it was a good way for Tony to quit iron man. (even though iron man appeared in Age of Ultron, and will continue to appear in future movies)
    Why don't you like it?

  • I don't "dislike" it but it's not as good as I was expecting so I think it's "okay".

Enemy wise, the fire people were okay but well....look at the trailer Ben Kingley looked awesome but then he was thrown out for humors sake.

The ending was stupid, sorry but it just was. He conveniently was able to take the Shrapnel out of his chest so he no longer needs the magnet thing but then why didn't he do that in the 2nd when that thing was killing him if he could have taken it out all along? And Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper) should have died, She's probably not gonna be in anymore Marvel movies so letting her live was kind of pointless and her death could have lead up to Age of Ultron with Tony becoming obsessed with not have been able to save her. And what was the point of Tony "quitting Iron Man" when he's back in the armor in Age of Ultron with no explanation.....

In my opinion, it should have been darker and they shouldn't have done the whole "retiring" ending when everyone knew he was going to be back, and wow this is longer than I thought it would be lol.

  • Let's talk about Jaws. It's a masterpiece. It was a movie that was one of biggest deals in movie history. It was the first blockbuster ever. But of course, when a formula is successful, make some more! Why not? So when Jaws 2 hit the theaters, it was the highest-grossing sequel ever. It got positive reviews by fans and mixed-positive reviews from critics. Thanks to Roy Scheider, Lorraine Gary and Murray Hamilton who gave really good performances. Brody was tense than ever and the ongoing paranoia effect was nice.

And... you guess that it's over right? NOPE, Jaws 3D gets released. Which was pretty bad. It has a nice concept, which was badly executed. The 3D effect is horrible and drags the movie down. Actors do a decent job, but by then you know it's all about milking the series dry. After Jaws "3D" you guess that they have learned their lesson, but no, Jaws The Revenge comes out... Oh boy.

So the fourth and the final entry in the series is a MESS. It's illogical, stupid, rushed and tension-free. Now widowed Ellen Brody, lives peaceful with her sons and grandchildren. But when Sean gets eaten in a boat alone, Ellen thinks that this particular shark was hunting the family. So she "wants nobody near the sea" yet she goes to Bahamas, and gets followed by the same GODDAMN SHARK! There they meet the most entertaining thing about this movie. Hoagie(played by Michael Caine) is a pilot and befriends the family. And by the way did I mention Ellen has telepathic connection with the shark? I just don't wanna talk more. Just watch this and you'll understand:

    Oh god

  • Fuck yea to Jaws! But I haven't seen the sequels cause I heard they were bad lol.

A friend of mine - who wants to become a director - told me that Jaws was originally intended to be a B-Movie. Is that true?

  • Yes. But Mr. Spielberg turned it into a A-movie. Explained by James Rolfe: "He was going to make a b movie, but he turned it into a a movie. He missed the point, he made it too good."
