What do you think are some of the biggest problems in the world today?

  • I guess, but like @AWESOMEO said, you don't necessarily need to forgive someone who wronged you in order to coexist peacefully.

If someone hurts me, I don't necessarily need to hold a violent, bitter grudge, but I also won't trivialize what they did by instantly forgiving it. The person becomes a ghost to me and I move on with my life, unless they show a genuine desire to reconcile.

You are doing it for yourself not for them, keeping all that negativity inside you is never healthy.

  • Yeah, I also forgive pretty easily, but I never forget. There's a couple of things I also don't forgive for though.

Spoken like a true Israeli, m8. Seriously though, I'm a big forgiver, but forgiveness is a two-way street. Forgiving someone who wronged you only works if they want to be forgiven and show genuine remorse.

  • People who won't vaccinate their kids because they're afraid they cause autism piss me off. Oh no, can't have autism!!!!!11 but Polio is okay, I'm sure if I just feed them organic food and make them vegan they'll be fine. Give me a break.

What crap. You think you can heal a kid just with that hippie garbage? Everybody knows the only thing that can treat cancer is praying to Jesus.

  • I can go on and on about things but something I think is wrong with society is that it seems like so many people today feel entitled when they haven't done shit.

  • Entitled to what?

  • Anything they want, maybe it's just me but it's something I've seen and it's that no one wants to do shit and they'll just say "I DESERVE this, I DESERVE that", specifically with Teenagers and youth.

  • Funny thing is, the entitled Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The baby boomers and their lobbyists are all in congress' ear shouting "WE DESERVE THIS. WE DESERVE THAT." We millennials learned from the best.

  • I have the opposite opinion. I think one of the biggest problems is people who think asking for human decency - like, I don't know, health care, basic education, a living wage, no discriminiation by race/gender/orientation etc. - is suddenly 'feeling entitled.' Yes, I think people are entitled to a basic level of treatment and a certain standard of living by the sole virtue of being a human being.

  • Guess I should have explained more since the way I put it might make me seem like a heartless piece of shit... When I said entitled in my post, I wasn't trying to say basic human rights or anything, I was meaning more luxary stuff I see people complaining about saying that they DESERVE because they expect Mommy or Daddy to give it to them when in reality they're a spoiled douche who sits on their ass all day. Again, sorry if the way I put seemed cruel or something but I am so annoyed when I see people who feel "entitled" for the more luxurious stuff in life when they ignore the less fortunate people and can't be grateful for a second...Guess I should post something like this in the Vent thread later.

  • Ignorance, as it is the cause of all the other problems.

  • I reckon everyone should get the basic necessities of life, and have the opportunities to work and earn the luxurious stuff.

  • Political correctness. I see people trying to censor everything just so that they're not offended (like those people who got GTA V pulled from shelves in Target).

  • Working and Earning is one thing but not doing anything and bitching is what pisses me off...

  • Yeah. We need to hold people accountable for their actions more. If I get diabetes because I don't have a very good diet, then it's my fucking fault. Nobody else's. If you choose not to work, then you can't expect a handout.

  • The world isn't ruled by me yet and the dominant religion isn't based around me like it should be.

  • Freaking The Walking Dead not being on Netflix UK... I can hear them laughing at me now, chanting-

  • Well the UK has orphan black, Disney princess movies, spongebob, and back to the future. Also better call Saul for some reason.

better call saul is a netflix original series, one thing we did get (that i don't think the USA got) was the last season of breaking bad a day after it was aired

and i just checked, the uk doesn't have back to the future, and there is only 2 season of spongebob, are you saying usa has no disney films?

Well the UK has orphan black, Disney princess movies, spongebob, and back to the future. Also better call Saul for some reason.

  • Yes. I don't care if you sit on your ass all day, you still get to get that lump checked out. And even if you are a fryer at McDonalds you still should be able to put food on the table, and not just from the Dollar Menu (the days of McDonalds being all high school kids on parttime are over).

Though what do you mean 'present nothing to society.' I don't think laziness is nearly as much of a factor as a lot of Americans seem to think it is. They'll yell at Obama 'where are the jobs, where are the jobs?!" Then the second somebody mentions they don't have a job it's "oh, it's because they're lazy."

Now hypothetically, if you had ample jobs, and that person simply refuses to work, like you give them a job and they never show up, than I'll listen about cutting off their benefits (though still not medical), but I imagine that's a pretty rare, but not non-existant, scenario.

  • Sorry, I guess I'm putting you in with a lot of the people these days cough libertarians cough who love this and fail to recognize the irony (including the irony of them stopping the video here). I'm talking about the same people who cream their pants listening to Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross and Gorden Gecko without realizing its satire (not that I didn't listen to the Baldwin bit over and over to psych myself up for an interview at a marketing job - which I didn't get).
