    That whole episode is one of my favorites from HIMYM, how it was done with the countdown from 50-1 was a nice little touch. What makes it so good was that Jason Segel (who played Marshall) didn't know what Alyson Hannigan (Lilly) was going to say when she got out of the cab, and it was done in one take. I got this from an IGN article about the episode:

    Both Segel and Alyson Hannigan spoke about Segel's decision to not know what Hannigan's exact lines were in that scene. As Segel put it, "I didn't want to know what she was going to say to me when she got out of that cab." Hannigan recalled asking, "'Jason are, you sure?' I was like, 'I'm going to take some pauses and okay, the last word [for your cue] is 'it.'' I was like, 'I don't say 'it' any other time.'"
    Said Segel, "I had no idea what [Hannigan] was going to say to me. I knew the overall premise, but she came out and she was already crying and it was so heartbreaking and it made acting very easy. All I had to do was react in that scene. I didn't have to dig very deep."
    Amazingly, only one take of that powerful scene was filmed. Hannigan recalled asking the director and producers, "'Are you sure? We should probably do it again!' But they were like, 'It's perfect!'"

    Jesse was confused. For Hank he was a bait. Nothing more; bait dies - one criminal less. Fatso was pissed because Walt fooled him. It was personal.

    When the stake is high... you've got to crack a few eggs to make an omelette. Profited from "the suffering of addicts"? You can say same about alcohol and tobacco producers. Walter was working hard as a teacher and in a car wash. Watch first episode again, check how they were treating him. Well, he gave them hell. HE was a hero.

    I was thinking about putting Walt's because his death made me sad as well. Unlike alot of people I loved Walt till the end. I put Hank though because his shocked the hell out of me.

    As soon as I saw the thread title, I immediately thought of this scene too. It shows the quality of the writing and acting, that many people had come to relate to Walter and wanted him to get away. In most TV shows it would be black and white: Hank is the good guy, Walter the bad guy. In Breaking Bad, it's not as clear.

    These are the two that got to me the most.
    The second one even more so, as the characters had time to be affected by it.
    Both however, made my eyes water, but I didn't start sobbing like a little kid.

    Entirely because it was the first death of a character that I liked that I ever experienced. And the scene, and episode overall, was so brilliant in using just a cameo appearance. I still get emotional whenever I hear winter.
