  • Nick, because he's just stylish, and Danse, cause I'm rolling with the BoS.

(As a side note, I thought Beth improved the stealth aspect, but no, I can still crouch five feet away from an enemy, with my power-armored friend clanking in the background, and I'll still go from [danger] to [hidden] within the span of ten seconds.)

I like Deacon's personality a lot, but I feel bad using him since I know that, well, I'm gonna have to kill him eventually... feels really heartless to string him along. :/

So how are your guys favorite companion? Mine is Cait at the moment because she actually doesn't mind when I ask for money or steal things. Still I haven't ran into Nick or Hancock yet, but I hear they are really cool

I still love Dogmeat because I like the idea of a man journeying through this wasteland with his dog, yes, completely impractical since the other companions are probably better, but I find this is a game where it's about immersing yourself in this world as much as it is levelling up and doing quests. Dogmeat and I are a tight knit.

  • Oh shit, I completely forgot about Nick. Sorry MacCready.

  • Extremely hot. You can also tame bugs and mutants with the perk above it. Some of the dialogue is pretty hilarious.

    "Don't move, roach!"

    "STOP! Human. Is. Friend!"

I need to take that perk, sounds hot useful.

  • It have to be a pistol? And how often does it actually work?

Turns out I can pacify synths with my charisma. Apparently, all you need is a pistol and commanding voice to make a robo death-machines throw their hands up in surrender and sheepishly wait to be executed.

  • Piper for my main character and Codsworth for my joke character. Nick is pretty awesome too. Honestly I've liked all the ones I've met aside from Strong and (sorta) Cait.

  • 1.) Nope, I'm just playing as a charismatic gunslinger.

2.) I'd say it works about 30-40% of the time. Seemingly much more often for synths. It can be a bit tricky to pull off with enemies that tend to dart around a lot .

  • Mine too, I was quite surprised it made it in as it's a bit later than the 1950s era music they shoot for. But damn does it fit.

This is one of my favorite songs in Fallout 4,

  • I think I've run into a glitch. One of my settlements (not Sanctuary, I made that one impenetrable) got attacked by Raiders and a settler went down-but-not-out instead of dying. It happened again when the (same) settlement got attacked by Super Mutants. At first I assumed that settlers just couldn't die, but reading the above comments has led me to believe this is not the case.

Has anyone else encountered this? To clarify the Settlers were NOT named characters.

  • I like Piper, although I haven't met too many people yet.

  • I've been doing that since the beginning of my game, I always love the charisma perk so I maxed it out to 10 from the start.

  • I havent been playing that long. Ive only had Dogmeat and Cogsworth so far. I was sure Cogs would he worthless but he was pretty good in battle, the way he was saw through people with that saw blade thing on his arm.

Nah, I started a new save, just because i was winging it and just trying to get the feel of the game, and so wanted to start again more seriously. I hadnt gotten that far, maybe level six or seven. I still have my old save So Im going to see if I can find him just to know.

So that means I can ask help from the BOS, Railroad, and Minutemen without worrying I'm gonna piss them off at the same time?

    BigBlindMax posted: »

Somewhat after that. You get to wander around and talk to a bunch of people first. The Battle of Bunker Hill is when you choose a side.

  • Word of advice - if you need to build a Signal Interceptor at any time in your life, don't do it drunk. I just loaded my game to see what I've created yesterday, and I've built a hot mess... There's like, twenty generators of various shapes and sizes connected to each and every thing around, because I was obviously incapable of calculating the necessary power output.

Oh, and it still doesn't work.

  • His eyes remind me of Short Circuit, remember that robot. I bet that is where they got the inspiration from. The only thing i don't like about Codsworth is that he is a melee companion. Kind of hard to shoot through him, but seriously if Apple ever develops a personal Mr. Handy, i am getting one day one. I had a roomba, but it wasn't the same.

So what did everyone do recently in Fallout 4? (spoilers if necessary)

I met a character who sounded like Chloe from LIS. Sure enough, it is the same voice actress. And I also met a group of raiders who spoke Norwegian.

    Spoiler free, huh?

I helped the tea party kill a large shellfish.

    Norwegian Raiders? Where?

Being a douche by joining the Railroad although I'm already a member of the BoS and intend to see them victorious. The people in the Railroad are seriously naive to have let me into their ranks just like that, but I guess they don't know much about the BoS's intentions at this point. I'm just spying.

Will be somewhat unpleasant murdering them all, though, they're so friendly and trusting rn... :/

  • Same, except I took them out for the Institute.

Walked right in with my T-60 and a minigun and tore them to shreds. I felt like a real scumbag...
