2016 just god even better
Michonne
Mcsm finale
BATMAN!
WD3 (if michonne ends soon enough)
Some 'show' thingy
and... GAME OF THRONES S2! (i betcha...coz its in development)
Batman threatening to crush a man's skull with the bat mobile
Barbara "committing suicide"
Joker torturing Jason
Pyg and his dollotrons
Officer Owens shooting civilians in the diner (if you shoot anyone as him)
That isn't M-Rated material?
Not excited at all. I'm not a superhero fan anymore. I used to love superhero stories as a kid but I began to lose interest as I got older. I respect superhero comics and stories as one of the historic keystones of the medium. That's pretty much it. I'll watch a let's play of the first episode to see if that changes my opinion on superhero stories.
I was actually expecting a multi perspective stories as GCPD members in the supporting role of Batman and his allies, but I guess Telltale would rather choose this path instead.
The Game of Thrones forum was actually put up several months after the announcement. I remember that vividly, as I created a temporary FAQ in the main forum because of all of the interest.
This is getting way more interest than the Game of Thrones announcement did though, so it'll probably be up by the end of this month at most.

Just as bad?
None of the games showed someone shooting themselves in the head.
None of the games showed batman threatening to crush a man's skull with the bat mobile.
None of the games showed a teen get physically and psychologically broken by the joker
None of the games showed a character get shot in the back and permanently paralysed.
Heck, the beginning of the game (with officer owens) was arguably enough to warrant rated M. Need I go on?
"None of the games showed someone shooting themselves in the head" thats right, they showed someone shoving a sword through their own stomach instead
"None of the games showed batman threatening to crush a man's skull with the bat mobile" instead it showed batman threatening someone to throw them off a roof
"None of the games showed a teen get physically and psychologically broken by the joker" in Asylum joker tortured many of his own men, with you being able to hear their screams and finding their bodies.
"None of the games showed a character get shot in the back" skip too about 20 seconds in
"the beginning of the game (with officer owens)" in asylum officer boles betrays the other guards and kill them, even though they were completely innocent, and most of them had families.

Thread: When is the full trailer for the Upcoming Batman game coming out?
As you guys all know, a Batman game from TellTale was announced December 3'rd. The trailer we got was very short, and showed almost nothing, thats why i was delighted when i read TellTales Blog, where it says: "the full announcement teaser trailer will be available for online viewing later this week." i and many others thought that this would mean that it would be shown at PSX. But today, the last day of the week, it has still not been shown, what gives?
The announcement trailer they are talking about it the same one they showed during the game awards which they uploaded to their youtube channel, at the time of posting the blog they hadn't officially uploaded it but it's available now.

A full trailer will likely be available later next year either around E3 or at a PAX which is where they normally show their games.
My dream come true absolutely I can't believe it I suggested this on the game suggest thread before that's how much I wanted this. I'm just in shock and so happy
I did not expect but I'm really enjoying reading all the hate and negative reactions to this I find them hilarious this game is already confirmed it's happening no matter what anyone says so not to bothered by all that stuff or butthurt but fun to read that till the game arrives so I will just sit here quietly hyped and delighted.
The batman and the Joker is coming to telltale ah man YESSS

A) did it show Talia brutally murder three other people, about to murder batman, only to turn the gun and willingly shoot herself?
Are you really saying that threatening to throw someone off a roof is just as violent as threatening to crush their skull with a tire?
C) keyword, HEAR. In AK, you actually SEE Todd get tortured, joker even lets him out just to watch him squirm. There's also the Gotham city story that explains what joker did that made Jason go after him (he blew up a school full of innocent children)
D) did you ignore the "permanently paralysed" part? You see Barbara get shot, you see her writhing on the floor in pain with blood leaking out as joker is taking pictures of her. That's more violent than a cop simply getting shot in the back and killed almost instantly
E) That's NOTHING similar to what happens with officer Owens. Boles willingly did what he did. Not only was Owens not responsible for his actions, but he (determinately, if the player shoots) shoots innocent civilians because of the fear gas. He's still shown later in the game and (if cilvilians were shot) is implied to be getting his badge revoked, and is left feeling nothing but guilt over having taken innocent lives.
No, they weren't as bad as knight. Presentation is key.
AK presents itself in an even more mature way than the others did (characters like professor pyg being a prime example)

Imagine if the Joker was part of the story but only got a minor role in it.
I don't recall that character having minor roles in almost any of the stories he's included in. Even in the animated movie where he was not really story relevant, he steals the show and makes himself relevant by messing around.
I'm not only to realize that the Joker basically sells products he's part of. His character is so famous that he gets included even if it doesn't many any sense in the overall story some animated movie tries to tell. Heck, Rocksteady made him a main villain even after the real one got killed with contaminated blood excuse (stuff Batman got infected by back in Arkham City.)
So yeah, that guy has had ridiculous ways to come back in the various stories.
Arkham Knight -> His blood somehow turns people to his clones.
Return of the Joker -> Some bullshit computer chip that was so much ahead of its time that it can turn a person to the Joker.
There has probably been more ways he has so far came back even if not as original one.
I wonder if Telltale is going to utilize the stories from Batman's vast comic books history to tell their story. That and who is their DC Comics consultant to help them with the story.
I just realized something funny.

another series to not get excited about...can someone tell me if there is anything to look forward to at all? Currently there is only the Michonne stuff and my interest is very mild to say the least...then there is minecraft which is crap and batman which doesn't interest me at all. Is 2016 a year I will not have to bother coming back to Telltale at all?

Not saying I only play M rated games, just not children's games such as minecraft. I don't consider batman childish but I am not interested in the franchise at all.

The Wolf Among Us is a DC property as well.
the other games had things that were just as bad, i don't see how knight is worse than (for example) city or asylum
Holy f*ck...

Shouldn't this series have a sub-forum already? If I remember correctly GoT, Tales and M:SM had their minutes after announcement.
The Game of Thrones forum was actually put up several months after the announcement. I remember that vividly, as I created a temporary FAQ in the main forum because of all of the interest.

Thanks for clearing things up!
So, this means next year we have:
Hm... This is going to be very, very fun.
The winner is you.

I assume you watched Batman The Brave and the Bold and Spectacular Spider Man? If you did. You know nothing about superhero stories.
Another stupid superhero game. FFS

Hey adult, so you're kids like superheroes right? Okay, so I am a kid, happy now? And you're an adult.
So?... How exactly did it influence telltale to make batman? Why not a S2 instead?
I wonder if Telltale is going to utilize the stories from Batman's vast comic books history to tell their story. That and who is their DC Comics consultant to help them with the story.
Best orgasm all time 10/10
Good thing you don't actually have to pay attention to it, huh
Oh I'm a big fan of superheroes .
Fu*king holy!
Because it probably gave them easier access to talk with DC since they had worked on a previous comic of theirs.
I honestly think that he shouldn't even be in the game at all
A minor reference sure, but I'd rather see them give another villain (or villains) a chance in the spotlight.
