Hints, speculation and curiosity.

The plot thickens.

If that isn't a hint at who or what their first game game will be about, you can call me... Well something less flattering.

good find guys... how did you find that?
  • edited December 2004
Yeah, I did the whois lookup too, but didn't want to ruin the suspense entirely. Hehe.

And joebot33, It was added today in "related links" in the community section.
  • edited December 2004
I think you've got them, that there has to be there first game. Unless they are using that to throw us of.

EDIT: Brenden was probably working on that, no wonder he was so long with the blog which Heather wrote for him.

Guess you're, like, right, and stuff: http://www.dudebrough.com/games.htm
It's the gnarlyfied-version review of Blades Of Stenchtar.

hilarious site dude! so is this guy brendens alter ego :D if they can revive adventure gaming and the word cowabunga at the same time they are true geniuses
  • edited December 2004
    maybe.......
  • edited December 2004
Doesn't "Dudebrough" sound a trifle like "Guybrush"?
  • edited December 2004
You mean it's changing from "I wanna be a pirate" to "I wanna be a surfer"? XD
  • edited December 2004
    i hope not
  • edited December 2004
Wow, nice find dudes. So who originally brought this up? This man will definately credited on my site.

Telltale, any statement regarding that site? I just hope this isn't anything like Bungie's "I love bees"-crap....

    i dont know
  • edited December 2004
They've got a link to I Love Bees on the community page, oh and apignarb
    posted about this first.
  • edited December 2004
    Has anyone emailed Dudbrough yet?
  • edited December 2004
And this "Dudebrough" character... is he, umm... well-known? I seem never to have heard of the guy at all. Odd.
So I guess this is not to be their first licensed game, then. More likely he's an original TellTale character, right?
  • edited December 2004
    maybe he's just a Npc
  • edited December 2004
They could've said it would be a well known franchise just to thow us off.
  • edited December 2004
    maybe it's just Brendans Alter-Ego :-/
  • edited December 2004
Or maybe this has something to do with those fun, smaller games they promised us...?

Some of my crew and I are totally takin a trip to sunny California for the three day weekend next week dudes!

I've got it! This must be a hint about when the game is going to be released!
  • edited February 2005
I don't think it's supposed to be a puzzle...this isn't BBE after all. I don't think telltale is trying to waste our time...
  • edited February 2005
ware did you find this? this website gets me thinking....
  • edited February 2005
It's listed here on the Telltale community page: http://www.telltalegames.com/community

It's the most recent link (Dec. 1, 2004) posted in the "Related Links" section on the right. For some reason, they're listed oldest to newest, so you have to scroll way down to the bottom to see it. That's probably where apignarb found it, because that's the same day he started this thread.
  • edited February 2005
    And in his 2nd post in this thread he states;
...It was added today in "related links" in the community section.

which really does arrest the need for all this speculation of how the information was first discovered.
  • edited February 2005
So what you're saying is that apignarb is not a Telltale double agent, planting the information and feigning ignorance?

And I was almost certain he was... ;)
  • edited February 2005
    didnt see taht link

Wow, girlfriend. Those quote tags really work like a charm. Is it just me, or don't the quotes show?
  • edited February 2005
It's not just you, looks like this is another error.
  • edited February 2005
Jump to last post works on recent threads though, that's gotta count for something.
  • edited February 2005
I noticed the quotes were all screwy, too. I was going to say something about it, but I thought maybe it was just my computer and I was going crazy. Or someone infected my computer with a virus that only targets the quotes in the Telltale forum.

    Wait, that is crazy.
  • edited February 2005
the quote tags dont show, ive read threw the help section my forum erea and i cant find the reason, i guess we should just start putting " and " at the beginging and end of everything that we quote. i'll email troy and ask him to take a look into it.
  • edited February 2005
Well, now we know where that character was supposed to used.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty relieved it wasn't in their adventure game. I guess there is still a tiny piece of hope of it being Monkey Island...
