One Piece sounds awesome but I'm really not the biggest fan of the art style in all honesty.
Which one? It kind of switches styles at one point since the animation gets better.
Since I have you hear do you prefer dubs or subs? That might also help in recommendations. Since One Piece is so long and had an originally bad dub by 4Kidz (let's not talk about it) it's a bit behind. The good dub is currently at episode 482 so if you did watch dubbed you'd have to switch to subs and it might be a bit jarring (I didn't have any problems mostly because I really wanted to see where it went).
Your mileage will probably vary with that one, I like it, but it's flaws are pretty clear, it uses the "power of friendship" trope whenever … moreit can
Ahhh, the power of friendship. That's as cliche as it gets.
As for recommendations do you have a limit on the amount of episodes you'd tolerate (I notice you watched Dragon Ball and I hear that's pretty long)?
Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z have a combined run time of 400+ episodes, so I'm pretty sure I can handle a longer anime, besides, my patience is pretty good. It's been like nearly 2 years since the last entry of EverymanHYBRID came out and I'm still waiting for the next one with great patience.
If you don't I'd recommend One Piece, the story starts out slow but once it establishes its story, world and characters it gets real exciting,

From the basic style I've seen, the faces, body designs and environment designs really put me off. It looks well animated, it's just the art style that's kind of weird to me.
In most cases, I prefer subs. But for anime I want on as background noise or something to play while working, I watch dubs. However, I never watch the DBZ subs because the japanese voice actors are so fucking bad.

I still haven't watched the rest of DB Super since Champa created the tournament on that barren planet. I kinda got side tracked. It has its moments here and there, some really enjoyable moments. But damnit, a lot of my favourites are still treated as henchman class fighters since everyone else has gone Superman it's ridiculous. Gives me no hope for any other character to have their shining moment. Piccolo is one of my absolute faves and he's just tossed to the side a lot. ;-;
I'm on a two week break from work and looking for anime to watch since I haven't watched any in a while, and since there are probably some b… moreeautiful fuckin' weebs in here, I figured I'd consult y'all. First and foremost, I guess I should mention what I have seen and how I felt about them so recommendations would be easier I guess? Like, I don't want to sound rude, I just don't know anime as much as I should.
Dragon Ball - Loved it.
Dragon Ball Z - Loved it.
Dragon Ball GT - Meh.
Dragon Ball Super - Super Meh.
Sword Art Online - Hated the absolute shit out of it.
Kill La Kill - Liked it.
Attack on Titan - Liked it.
Fullmetal Alchemist - HNNNNNNNGH. (same with Brotherhood)
The Pokemon Anime Seasons 1-5 - Loved it.
The Pokemon Anime Everything After - Hated it.
Heaven's Lost Property - Liked it, but it had it's issues.

Pity one was boring/depressing while the other was a pile of laughs/fun. Yes I hate Parasyte, and yes I know that seems to be rare. Felt like another Death Note almost from the get go and I hate Death Note as well. Then again I hate most anime like it as well. Has nothing to do with the art style, I found it gorgeous.
To be honest though there is no rule on how an anime character should look. Just popular trends over time. I honestly prefer 1980's designs over all. Gundam Unicorn and Origin are beautiful examples of how wonderful a 1980s looking anime could be today if done well.
Now to express how a "Moe" anime can do everything right and despite looking like K-On be utterly brilliant. Personally to me one of my favorite first episodes of all time for any production anime or not. Presentation on this episode to me is almost on the level of a Ghibli film and it actually blew me away. lol
That was actually an exaggeration: It's not the worst of the worst, it's so bad that it's hilarious. The sequel, now that's something worth the title and certainly not worth anyone's time. That's my opinion and I can "discourage" anyone I want by telling it, thanks.
Season 2 wanted to make me scream, but I did enjoy it enough to buy both seasons on DVD.
It's like Gundam Seed + Death Note + Moe/Ecchi Highschool stuff thrown in it as well... oh and Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut and more Pizza Hut.

It wasn't a huge surprise. I think the only real good thing about Season 2 was the mystery that surrounded the ending. I did enjoy that controversy and mystery among fans. Ending credit sequence on the last episode as much as it tried it still didn't beat Turn A Gundam's. Sorry couldn't think of another mech anime that had a final episode credit sequence quite like that. Oh what a surprise, they were both made by Sunrise.
I guess my biggest disappointment with Code Geass was just how stupid Lelouch's followers were. I would go into detail, but they did something eventually in the anime that made me smash my fist upon my desk in absolute protest. Logic wasn't with the writers one bit when they threw that plot twist into the anime.
Oh, haven't watched that anime nor do I plan to, so I don't know. There were obviously flaws, like in any series, but as a big fan of Lelouch and the whole thing kept me interested I gave it a 10/10.

Death Note for me was perhaps one of the most disappointing anime experiences which doesn't mean it's bad just insanely over hyped. It is right up there with Hellsing Ultimate. Anime people told me were amazing but I wouldn't even call them great. Death Note Relies heavily on it's cliche plot twisting device called the Death Note to get around sticky parts of the story plot that the writers are not smart enough to find creative good solutions to get around, only to create a bad sense drama with insanely boring and disappointing conclusions to the dramatic segments of the anime itself. Doesn't take long when they started just making up new abilities the Death Note could bring forth just to find more get arounds. Worse yet characters like Light, N and so forth are often surrounded by idiots to cause a false perception of intelligence, characters which ask an insanely unnecessary number of questions to make Light seem like a character who is above par intelligence wise, even if the questions were mundane often. It did so to bait in fans who have a superiority complex, but fall for that false sense of intelligence and that they're watching an anime that is actually intelligent but isn't. I can not help but give Death Note credit, it fools a lot of viewers.
I can not say much about Death Note's manga being I don't actually read Manga. So I have no opinion of Manga, but I've noticed a lot of anime based off manga end up having serious issues, though often I blame it on directors and staff failing to fix things that do not translate well from manga to animation that do not hurt Manga, but does hurt adaptations of manga. Sadly I sometimes think they're afraid to make necessary changes for adaptations out of fear of angering the fanboy/fangirls. Which is the main problem I have with Hellsing Ultimate for example, not exactly Death Note, Death Note has it's own issues entirely.
That being said no anime is free of having it's problems. But when people fall to a knee and praise something as "Holy" I expect it to be utterly amazing right down to the music, choreographing, story and presentation. Which very few anime, even live action films get all of those done well. Good example of what I mean is Allison & Lillia, an anime adaptation that was actually done very well. It doesn't do anything horrible, does everything above par, and despite not looking amazing at first glance is a wonderful experience. I don't think anyone walks away from it disappointed but surprised being it's better than it looks.
Yeah I get where you're coming from, i'm only on episode 13. Shit's getting me emotional though XD
I'm actually drawing Asuna, she's bada… moress. I believe they skipped over the SAO part too quick, but im still enjoying it. Guessing the found it hard to replicate the Manga.
Back to RWBY, I really can't fault this show, obviously im a big fanboy so could easily get 'blinded' if theres something bad, but I just keep rewatching. Always watch at least 1 volume every now and then.
I mean look at these.
Going back to what you asked, try reading (I have these)
or start with Anime volume 1: Boredom (Taikutsu)
Plot:
The series Death Note centers around a high school student named Light Yagami who discovers a supernatural notebook 'death note' that allows him to kill anyone by writing the victim's name while picturing his or her face. The plot follows his attempts to become God by creating a New World cleansed of evil, u… [view original content]
I'm not the biggest fan of anime in general but I absolutely adore Osomatsusan. It's weird as hell. And I love it because of that :> It's so absurd, so silly and the animations are so expressive! If you are a friend of weird-ass humor this is definitely your show..
It wasn't even that bothering, until the point where in one episode they just throw as many boobs and asses into our faces as it's possible... and that's the point where I stopped caring and dropped it.

I dont know. I am watching japanese with english sub.
Edit: I watched a little clip with the english dub. All I can say is: "I hope she knew about Jesus...."
Well yes, that episode (7) was like a message from the creators:"Let's just make it clear here, if you idiot have watched the 6 episodes for other reasons than boobs, you better leave immediately because the very essence of this show is boobs and boobs only. Boobs boobs boobs". And it wasn't really fanservice anymore, only an episode of porn.
Lol, that Banzai was actually pretty mild compared to what I was talking about.
So you had a fan service overload? Whatever you do do not look up Kancolle "Banzai" on youtube. lol
As one comment says "Observe, gentlemen, a Cruiser ramming over a Destroyer..."

Touka from Tokyo Ghoul. I've only just started watching it. On episode 5 right now and I've already been sucked in.
Thats next on my list haha
Oh so, she's a girl. I have had that on my list for a while.
Tokyo Ghoul is the worst of the worst.

We need more characters that look like this
And need to stop using characters that look like this
Sorry, didn't mean to post.

That's an opinion. Don't discourage her from trying it just because you don't like it.
Wow, was like "That has to be a Makoto Shinkai Film. Looked it up and just went to my self "Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding. "

I am a rusty pancake.
Ending was glorious though.
You can have your own opinion, what you can't do is shove it up someone else's throat. Let them make their own opinion, thanks.
Stop being ridiculous, writing a comment isn't the same as "shoving it up someone else's throat". That's why we are here, to express them.

Just started watching High School Of The Dead. This shit looks great haha, could be a good short series
Fan service, fan service everywhere.

Ironically enough, I watched this in my high school days.

I am watching Ghost Stories right now. Its a show about a group of kids putting ghosts into eternal sleep. I am at episode 7.
You mean the one with the best English dub?
I dont know. I am watching japanese with english sub.

I can agree with this. I'm not a fan of that second design.
Man, you really love that Gundam stuff.
Bryce Papenbrook voicing awesome teens haha, Rin, Kirito, Eren
(Still making my way through most series)
anyone here watched Noucome?
