Yes, it does. Can't remember the exact message, but it's something to the effect of "You couldn't bring yourself to shoot Kate after she turned."

    darthsansa posted: »

Does the relationships section also update with e.g. "Javi couldn't bring himself to shoot her" under Kate?

  • Ah you're the one making those rare screens videos? Ok, now it makes sense.

On another note, I also decided to record what happens if you don't shoot walker Kate: Not a huge difference, but I figure there's some people curious about it that aren't willing to replay the entire episode to see.

  • The walkers are acting like they have lost and are leaving Richmond for losing the battle.

Oh, so her walker just loses interest and evacuates with the others. I just assumed Gabe or Clementine shot her before she got too close. Still, poor Kate.

  • Might have just been a glitch on my end, but when deciding to trust Jesus or not, I stayed silent and Tripp told Jesus he couldn't take any chances and had to tie him up. But then he didn't and Jesus was "trusted" and it said the same on the stats at the end.

Maybe just an oversight in editing

a fine addition to my collection

  • "My name is Paul but my friends call me Jesus "
I am sorry for you -Stewart- but it seems you didn't trust Jesus, so… for you… it's Paul !

  • Throughout the whole season Clementine has put herself in danger to help Javier and his family despite owing them nothing. Sometimes an excuse for her staying was because she hasn't gotten a car yet. In return for her help, Javier was supposed to get her a car so she could find AJ.

Now it is the end of the season, Javier is safe, Clem helped him and his family. Javier still didn't get her a car.

Now Clem goes to find AJ and instead of helping her, Javier just kinda "ok good luck bye." No offer to help her find AJ despite her helping him this whole time.

Also he still hasn't given her a car, which was her main goal this whole season so she could go get AJ. She's gonna go find him on foot now. If she could find him on foot now, why couldn't she have done this before to go find AJ?

Long story short, this is just more obvious evidence that Clementine was so fucking shoehorned in this entirely dumb love triangle season and clearly took the backseat.

  • When you look at it that way, it's pretty obvious that it was rushed. The scene was a little cringy.

A likely reason for this scene being so poorly developed (it felt rushed, there were hardly any facial animations, voice recordings weren't

  • Clementine doesn't have a single reason to be in ANF other than to lure the old fans. The game could've been better without her and she would've been better without ANF ruining her character.

That has hardly anything to do with what I said since the main point of my of my post was about Javier not helping Clem at all even tho Clem stayed around to help him the whole time. My post wasn't about "wheres aj!"

  • It was probably poorly rendered because Conrad triggers this scene and most people killed him in episode 2

This is all scrapped content for A New Frontier according to Alyssa from the AMA thread:

Max at one point in development died in the Slaughterhouse in episode 1, after Javi found and took care of a turned Mariana.

There was a flashback of Clem and her babysitter in Episode 1, where she had a phone call with her mom from Atlanta.

Lingard’s model was originally created to be a guy named Mason, who was the mastermind of the New Frontier group in an early iteration of the story.

The guy who stabbed Javi in episode 4 (and was eaten by walkers in Ep 5) was originally supposed to be a spanish-speaking engineer that Javi could use his (originally planned) bilingual skills to communicate with.

He was being guarded by Ava, who was envisioned as a former MMA fighter who had found a role as a prison guard for the New Frontier.

There was a big hub in Episode 5 where Javi had to solve the problem of how to get off the roof, while also having the opportunity to talk to each character about your relationship and what was on their mind, including Clem trying to cheer up a very sad Gabe after having been knocked back by David in the scene in the apartments.

Originally Eleanor was meant to be Joan's daughter.

  • after Javi found and took care of a turned Mariana.

The fuck? Guess that adds to the fact that she was originally supposed to be shot in the throat.

That makes too much sense considering his design in the trailer.

Interesting. Guess the Specialist deserved his concept art after all.

:unamused: Again, that makes too much sense.

  • This may be well known here, especially to the artists, but the blood stain that is on Clems hat is from Lee's blood when he got bitten. The blood stain has became a permanent feature on Clementine's hat since S1, even though its more faded away in ANF.
(I can already see the 'If you don't break the ice, Bonnie dies' comments).

The ama gave us canon backstories for a couple characters:

    • Joan was a divorced single mother, a driven child of immigrants, who worked her way up to COO of her furniture manufacturing company, running the factory as both den mother and disciplinarian. She knew every employee’s name, but also everyone’s weak spots.
    • Pre-apocalypse, Conrad owned a small town restaurant and was an avid baseball fan. His family was all brutally killed in the first months after the fall, but Conrad still managed to keep a group of people safe by leading them to the Prescott airfield, and helping to build it up from nothing.
    • Tripp is a former dock worker, not well educated, but street smart. Post-apocalypse, he’s killed his share of people, and it eats him up inside at night. He’s the most effective defender of the Prescott community, and had taken responsibility for the town’s “perimeter” at the time when Javi met him.

A couple more i managed to get:

    • Clinton Barnes was a stockbroker who worked from his home and spent every spare moment on his lavish garden. He always planned to meet a girl and share that garden with her one day, but the changing world robbed him of that dream. Luckily, his extensive botanical knowledge has come in handy for the residents of Richmond.
    • Paul Lingard was a world-class oncologist and a respected faculty member at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. While most of his colleagues fled for safety as society collapsed, Lingard sought out the injured and tried to help however he could.
    • Elle is tricky. Her character changed enough in development that her original backstory no longer makes sense. I can tell you that she is Thai American, and (some of you guessed this) was originally designed as Joan's daughter in an early version of the story. In the shipping version, though, they are not related.

  • So they lied about Clint being just a botanist. At least we know that Tripp wasn't the leader of Prescott and just a defender

  • I mean you can be a botanist but work a different job. I'm sure being a stockbroker is much easier and profitable than botany in most cases. And yeah apparently Conrad was the one who led people there and started the town.

And yet, he was content to just be a lowly bartender. What a guy.

Another interesting tidbit from the AMA was the original draft storyline for ANF; it aligns pretty well with the teaser trailer:

"There was an earlier version of the story where Javi was forced to join the New Frontier group and branded (against his will) in order to prove his trustworthiness/earn his place. He escaped, but still needed to retrieve his family (David, Gabe, and Mari) from their NF captors, which aligned his goals with Clementine’s search for AJ."
