I'm curious about Tenn (theory?)
I think it's obvious at this point that Tenn is going to be a crucial character.
- Telltale confirmed ep2 and ep3 will focus more on Tenn (the other 3 will have more focus on ep1)
- Despite being part of the main 4, he has had the least amount of information on him, implying it's being kept secret till release because of plot reasons.
- His name is pretty odd, and he looks young enough to have been born into the apocalypse - perhaps he was numbered instead of being properly named? Or alternatively, he was a baby before the apocalypse and was too young to know his actual name when shit hit the fan.
- His facial scarring definitely looks like a burn and as if someone pulled a Negan on him (maybe part of a community that segregated members and tortured those who didn't cooperate or do good enough)?
He seems to be around AJ's age and I bet he will play a big role in his development since I imagine they will be close friends due to that reason.
Since AJ's personal growth is a major aspect in this season, I wouldn't be surprised if how you treat Tenn will be a factor into his relationship with you and others. For example, assuming Tenn is going to be involved in the major plot, perhaps if you don't choose to help him often AJ might get upset you won't help his friend and might start to drift from you.
(I know it's a bit early for these types of theories given no 1st episode, but I've been theorizing over all the main characters lately and wanted to share)

Isn't his character trait that he holds on to things from the "old world"? His name is pretty odd considering he seems maybe a bit younger then 10. But still close to it. I do think there is a reason for that. My guess is that the scar has something to do with his name.
Mariana and S2 Clem are supposed to be the "same age" as Ten, Ten looks younger than AJ if I'm honest
S2 Clem is 11
AJ is 6
I think Tenn looks like he is maybe 7/8, the kid who is his voice actor sounds a bit older than AJ (assuming he doesn't try to make his voice younger for the role)
He's older than AJ, but only by a couple of years, at least based on appearance. If he was alive at the start at all I think he was at most an infant in the beginning, born not long before it started. Based on what we know of Clem's own timeline and AJ's appearance and speech, I'm assuming AJ is around 6 at this point, and to me Tenn looks like he's around 8. He could have been born just after it started, his mother already pregnant when things started, but based on what little information we have I'm as sure as I can be that Tenn is around 8, maybe even 9.
His name is odd, sure, but look at it. I don't think it's the number 10. The number 10 is spelled ten. His name is Tenn, which could be short for Tennessee (Tenn is an accepted and valid abbreviation of Tennessee), maybe where he's from, or it could be short for Tennyson, maybe his last name, or it could mean any number of other things, but the spelling makes me think he's not called the number 10, his name just happens to sound like it.
Then again maybe that is his name. Maybe he was the 10th kid found and taken to the school and whoever named him (jn the game) didn't know how to spell ten and added an extra N to it. These are a bunch of kids who have mostly grown up in the apocalypse. Most of them wouldn't have gotten past first grade before the zombies hit and society collapsed so if no adults around them bothered to teach them it's possible that they can't read or spell well. Still, I'm inclined to believe his name is short for something else and not actually a number.
I'm gonna assume that the scarring came from an accident. Could even be how he ended up with the other kids. Maybe his parents and he were traveling, had a crash near the school, their vehicle caught fire, and Tenn was the only one the other kids could save, but not before he got severely burned. I have a hard time thinking anyone cruel and fucked up enough to intentionally burn and severely scar a child. Negan was a dick, sure, bash brains and gut people and burn faces all day to enforce his rules but he'd never harm a child.
Gosh darnit why didn't Christa return?!! This is assuming Tenn is Christa's son.
1. We don't know excactly what happened in-between the 16 month time skip and Omid's death. We do know about Clementine's 'not again..' (implying he might've gone missing?)
2. It is stated there will be more emphasis on him for later episodes, typically where the story starts to ramp up in intensity (villains!!)
3. In the s2 opening, Christa looks like she's 7 to 9 months in, which means Clementine is 9 at the point of Tenn's birth, more than 9 and a half.
4. We know that Clem is 17 but we don't know how close to 18 she is.So I'd estimate Tenn is 7 or 8, like you guys said!
Gah it just works so well, considering Christa is finally re-united to her child just like Clem was with AJ. Christa's actions could be exemplary to Clementine or she could do things differently, depending on player choice.
Tenn isn’t her son these theories are stupid I just can’t wait for the game to come out and end this.
Maybe we will se a darker side of him
I know!! Tf? I know it's not true, I'm just remarking on how the dynamic has potential if that is something the game wants to delve into.
I don't think he is either but we never did find out what happened to her baby so it's not entirely impossible. We all assume the baby died but maybe it was kidnapped or something. It's unlikely she'd just leave it somewhere. I mean, why leave the baby and not Clem too? Clem too old of a kid but they'd take a baby?
A tad surprised it took this long for someone to actively talk about him.
A bare minimum, he's clearly meant to be a foil to AJ, with that engine test at the character's unveiling lending more to that idea.
...That's...Louis?
Have we heard any of them yet?
That's my thought as well.
Egh, I feel like that'd just be [more] redundant.
Granted, it was safe to assume TFS would be a mom season before they showed us much, so who knows what is or isn't on the CRF...

No we haven't heard them as the characters (minus Marlon). I was just using the kid's normal voice as an example, but I know that voice actors for these games sometimes change the pitch of their normal voices. So he could very well sound younger in the actual game.
As a side note though, Louis's voice actor sounds how I actually imagined Louis to sound.
Oh.
I'd like to point out that I was right lol.
