That's not what I said. I said you can discuss the Vita release in the release date discussion thread, you complained about spoilers in the feed (and I even agreed with you and brought it up to staff). I put up the PlayStation Vita news in the topic as a courtesy to you so you wouldn't be spoiled in your feed (which, sadly is impossible to avoid until the Telltale web team fixes the problem, even in the topic you created).
Like I said before, the only reason I closed your thread was because it was a duplicate of a thread that already existed, which is against the forum guidelines. We always close or merge threads like that because it's harder to follow a conversation when it is happening in more than one place.
Stop putting words in my mouth. I don't hate Vita users (I don't know why you would think so, this whole thing started because you didn't like where I posted an update about the Vita versions of Telltale's games). I'm simply following the forum guidelines and trying to keep the forums enjoyable for everyone. Like Vainamoinen said, it's regular forum cleanup that we do all the time. There's no conspiracy here.
I'm not saying it's every mod. But look at what happened with my topic. A mod OK'd it, so people who wanted to discuss the Vita release coul… mored do so, both without their comments getting swallowed by people playing on other platforms and-most importantly-so they could do so without getting spoiled. Being told to simply settle for NOT discussing and NOT asking questions and just reading a thread title is insulting. You can be as snippy as you want, but that mod locked my mod-approved topic, then even got rid of all related discussion in another thread. We currently have no place where we can talk and ask questions without getting spoiled. There was no need to lock that topic and unsticky it. It wasn't even open a day. I've gotten spoiled several times being forced to Follow the existing topic, because even marked spoilers appear unhidden in the Feed. It's not right to force us to either keep Following it or settle for not talking or asking anything.
Except we CAN'T discuss it in that thread, because of the spoilers. I've said this over and over. That's why I asked a mod and got permission to create a separate topic. We deserve a place to discuss and ask questions and so on. It was not a duplicate and was okayed by another mod, there was no need to lock it. You know this has nothing to do with WHERE you posted the update. It has to do with you locking a topic and denying Vita players the right to talk about the release date like everyone else.

The moderation team has decided to start a thread for spoiler free chat of The Walking Dead in general because of the broken feed (we'll keep it up until the Telltale web team fixes the issue).
You can find it here. Note that there's still always the chance someone will post a spoiler, since there's currently no way to prevent that, but we'll try to delete them or move them to other threads as soon as we can.
You're missing the point. If I wanted to just talk about the game in general, I'd create a more specific thread. There's no point to a topic like that one. We Vita users wanted a place to talk about news, release dates, and ask questions, not some vague, multi-purpose, unstickied topic that everyone is going to post in and get all crowded, or no one will post in and will get buried by all the new "OMG SEASON TWO!" posts. The topic is nearly already off the page as I write this.

The new topic addresses your complaint of not having a place for spoiler free discussion that keeps people from being spoiled (and is there for everyone who hasn't played the game yet, which is fair to the entire forum), since that's the only way it can be done until the Telltale web team fixes the problem with the feed.
Since The Walking Dead Season Two: episode one is out now on every platform except for Vita and Ouya, and there's an episode 2 release date thread, the episode 1 release date threadis just for discussion of release dates on the Vita and Ouya platforms.
I've even went through and moved all of the spoilers from the last few days out of the topic and updated the first page of the post with a warning not to post spoilers (and I'll keep moving spoilers as they come). You can post in there for the Vita discussion of episode 1, since that's what the thread's there for (and since it's out now for most people, it will be a lot easier to follow).

I'm beginning to feel like you're doing this on purpose...
No, that topic does NOT address my complaint. It's like you're not reading my posts at all. That is a generic thread with no actual purpose. That's like sending me off to the Off-Topic section of the forums. We don't want some stupid thread that is going to either get buried or cluttered. We do not want that spoiler-ridden, overly-active topic that is used by everyone else.
I got permission to create my thread, and it was created with good reason. You locked it, and now it feels like you keep going out of your way to provide not-solutions, so that when I'm not happy, I look like the bad guy.
The topic you created has already disappeared, just like I said it would. The thread for the other release dates is for the other release dates. People are not going to stop posting spoilers just because you asked them to, especially by adding it in that way. Just like always, Vita questions and discussion get swallowed and ignored, and following it not only gives the risk of spoilers still, but hundreds of Feed updates daily.
No, it's just not acceptable. You know the thread I created was just fine, and I'm trying to figure out why you felt you had to lock it when the mods said it was okay to create it in the first place.

The topic I posted was stickied long before you posted your response, so it hasn't disappeared (it's right up on top of the Walking Dead section of the forums).
You won't get hundreds of notification notices in your feed from the episode 1 release date discussion thread anymore as the episode one release discussion thread is barely used now, since it's out now for every platform except for Vita and Ouya. There's an active episode 2 release date thread, so the people who already played it don't post in the episode 1 release date thread anymore. That's why I closed your thread, because it was redundant, especially after the game was released on other platforms, since the episode 1 release date thread is much easier to follow now. It's also not spoiler ridden, because as I said I removed out all of the spoilers from the past few days, and the thread is patrolled as much as possible to move threads out when they're posted. I already moved one spoiler out from the topic today, and I'll continue to do so when they pop up.

The notifications never stop. The thread is a mess, and it will remain a mess. You could have just locked THAT thread, like I suggested, unstickied it, and left mine. I'm not about to risk following that thread again, nor do I want to wade through that mess. The thread is so damn big, half the time, it doesn't even load. It just says "Fetching" unless you try and visit it a very specific way.-.-
Also, thanks to whoever unstickied the "No spoilers in thread titles or unmarked in topics" thread, because now people are posting them left and right. Someone needs to get over there now and start editing, especially that one. They've spoiled nearly every scenario, but they got one title revealing a HUGE character death.
Yeah, I have my eye on that one. Actually all would be well if people could just plain ignore it. But as soon as a comment proves somehow unpopular or is just plain trolled, the discussion turns to the downvotes received immediately. It's just disruptive, and I haven't yet seen much of an upside of it.
I haven't read this whole thread, so I don't know if somebody's suggested it here or not, but preventing a certain number of links in a post to prevent spam?
Kevan the Co Founder of Tell Tale, did say he would work with us to "refine" that choice. To me that means iron out any wrinkles. Honestly. I haven't seen him on here, least not posting. Since he and some of community members had that shouting match. Even when Season 2 was to be released, we heard it from Steam before Tell Tale.
I don't know what's going on with that, their is a reason facebook doesn't have a dislike button.
I agree with the 'getting rid of the downvote' suggestion. I think the idea of going 'lol someone downvoted me. Trolls.' is silly, and that being upset with downvotes is silly, but ultimately, they bring up way too many posts or part of posts about people complaining about them to the point that it seems like spam. I would also advocate stricter banning and monitoring for posts insulting or disrespecting other members as well as said in the guidelines. I know that part's difficult since people just come on the internet thinking it's fine to just insult people because 'lol. It's the internet', but there are way too many discussions that turn viral from people flaming or disrespecting others and their opionions.

I would really enjoy it, if the people who paid for this site. Actually read the feedback, we've been laying suggestions for weeks, months. Ever since this new skin came out. There was the Ignore feature, a basic design. Also to remove the dislike button, as even the mods said it serves no real purpose and its a distraction.
Has anyone read this, at all. Even at Bioware fourms, once in a while they do talk back and forth with you once in a while. I just feel like they are going stick with this design, not mold or change it at all. If that's the case, what's the purpose of asking our feedback, if they're not going to change. it.
I don't like this forum design. It's not comfortable read all the new posts because new posts are another posts' reply so they can be in the middle of the thread, I can't tell when this replies are in long threads like these. What if a reply were in page 101?
Quotation system worked and the notifications could still work. By this way everybody can read easily a thread, reading all posts in chronological order.

Unfortunately, when you flag a thread or post, all that happens is that it just gets added to a list of flagged threads/posts, and that list is absolutely massive because we can't delete anything from it. We've got flagged stuff from WAY back in November, for example.
In fact, the list is SO big, it breaks the browser if you're trying to view it on a mobile phone/tablet.
So yeah, letting us know directly is far quicker than flagging it.
OK, good to know, guess I'll send you a PM next time I see spam or something insulting like that, Its a shame that's how flagging works with the new forums. With a fair amount of mods resigned along with this mess with flagging. I guess it would take more time to know about spam/insults sooner.
@WarpSpeed - It SHOULD work like that.

Yeah, we (and by we I naturally mean 'the other mods' since I'm usually at work most of the day) seem to spend a lot of our time dealing with spambots these days. Things could be better, to say the least.
And yes, the lack of mods isn't exactly helping matters. Blind Sniper was a damn good addition to the roster, but it still only leaves us with about 5 mods for the whole foru-COMMUNITY (support section not included), so naturally things are going to slip through the cracks.
It's... it's not been a great few months.
Should probably stop talking about behind-the-scenes stuff before I get in trouble again
In fact, the list is SO big, it breaks the browser if you're trying to view it on a mobile phone/tablet.
Nothing to do with a tablet. I've got a straight up desktop PC, and I can't access the mod queue because - BOOM.
Behind the scenes or not, the flag system is infunctional at the time and the community should be informed about that. It's pretty much elementary that users know that.

What if we set up a "flag" thread where users can go to report spam/troll/insulting posts? That way, instead of PM-ing a specific mod who might not be online for some time, users could just leave link to the questionable post and any mod who sees it could deal with it?
Heh if you thinks its bad now. You should have been here for TWD Season 1. People complaining about 1 or 2 weeks after an episode for the next episode, People making fake threads just for the purpose of spoiling the latest episode which was completely unfair to A.people who didn't have it and B.EU PSN users like me who had Episode 3 and other episodes spoiled because the episodes were always delayed in EU. To be fair there was mature users in it who actually acted maturely and wanted to talk about episodes and make interesting topics instead of ''WHERES THE NEW EPISODE! ITS BEEN 2 WEEKS SINCE THE LAST ONE?!''. Also this is what most of the old community was worrying about. TWD Season 1 was a very stressful time for mods. On top of Spam, Mods had to keep an constant eye on the TWD Forums because of people always complaining or spoiling stuff and other things. So people was worrying about TWD Season 2 if the whole thing were to start again.
It got so bad that back during TWD Ep 3, a Sam & Max 25th Anniversary post was completely overrun by people complaining for Episode 4 of TWD after 2 weeks after Ep 3. Unfortunately the TWD forum (and other forums) can't be fixed up as fast because most of the mods resigned and left when the new forums came. So overall while I agree that the maturity of some of the TWD forums can be annoying, we have to give mods more time to be able to fix it.
which happens to be a "appreciation thread" outlined in the guidelines lol and just read all the inappropriate posts, that would be nice, since there are plenty of them. Some by Shaundi as well. It is definitively an inappropriate thread (with pics as well) and something needs to be done.
Speaking about threads getting derailed. Isn't that what all three of you are doing? having a fight about a thread which has completely nothing to do with suggestions for the forums?

I decided to close the Luke thread; not because trolls derailed it, but because it wasn't very good discussion material. Even if the pics were not directly NSFW, they still weren't exactly tasteful and they were pushing it close enough.
If trolls derail a thread but the thread can still be salvaged, than I typically will try to leave it open and just mark comments as trolling. However, besides the fact that the Luke appreciation thread broke one of the guidelines, I could not have seen people going back to discussing the topic at hand. Before you get mad at trolls "causing" threads to be closed, it is important to distinguish whether the conversation is one that others will want to engage in a civil manner in the first place.
My post in the thread itself goes on about why I closed it if you want to look more into this.

Wow does every TWD character get an appreciation thread? Whats next. Bigby getting an appreciation thread? Snow getting one? Guybrush Threepwood getting one? A certain Dog and Rabbit like thing getting an appreciation thread?
Just Kidding about the above but seriously why do we need so many appreciation threads? Kenny I can understand since he is a major character and one of the main characters right after Clem and Lee. But why is every other TWD character getting one?

@Blind Sniper
Congratulations on becoming a mod
@WarpSpeed - It SHOULD work like that.
@Darth
OK, good to know, guess I'll send you a PM next time I see spam or something insulting like that, Its a shame that's how flagging works with the new forums. With a fair amount of mods resigned along with this mess with flagging. I guess it would take more time to know about spam/insults sooner.
@Shaundi
Plus it doesn't help that people (Like Shaundi) constantly break the forum guidelines......
Mods, if you could go into this thread
http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/54951/luke-is-so-cutescott-porter-appreciation-thread
which happens to be a "appreciation thread" outlined in the guidelines lol and just read all the inappropriate posts, that would be nice, since there are plenty of them. Some by Shaundi as well. It is definitively an inappropriate thread (with pics as well) and something needs to be done.
Speaking about threads getting derailed. Isn't that what all three of you are doing? having a fight about a thread which has completely nothing to do with suggestions for the forums?
I don't see how it is when the suggestion is that removing threads of this nature will improve the forums overall,I'd say it is very relevant actually
Exactly Here here
It would be best for the forums for that particular thread to be looked at. That's all I was saying.
I thank you for looking into the thread.
The mods should get paid for putting up with this stuff.
Citrix: Threats, seriously? I don't follow the TWD forums, but in my opinion here in general talk you come off as worse than Shaundi.
EDIT: Cleaned up language. It just annoys me to no end what's become of this place. Maybe we need a break TTG foru-COMMUNITY.
OK, I think we've had enough of the insults and GIFs in this place. Knock it off or start facing the consequences.
That means YOU, Crixus. You're not "good friends" with us, and at this rate you never will be.
And while we don't get paid, this place isn't without its (rare) perks.
(Left over from the E3 where TWD was announced and not just a random "here mods, have something awesome that no-one else can have", before you ask)
