It's great to finally know what day it's coming. If they had said this earlier I would probably have went ahead and played episode 1 since it would still be $20 but now Tuesday is so close I might as well just wait. I can't wait to finally get into season 2 though!

You don't need the retail version for that. The Walking Dead Season Two is not downloadable in Season One. It is its own separate game. Once you start up season two, it looks for saves automatically. As long as you have a PlayStation 3 format save game (which you do), you should be OK.
The $15 price for PS3 is only until January 5th, as compensation over the fact that it wasn't available at launch. After then, the price will go back up.

I would be ETERNALLY grateful to you if you could please answer this question: I bought the first season from the infamous russian PSN store, hence im all out of luck for the foreseeable future, so what will happen with my save files from the first season if i buy the second one from the US/EU (UK) PSN Store? Will they transfer over and work with it, or the game won't be able to see them?
This is VITAL information for me- i would greatly appreciate if you could clear this issue for me

Once you start Season Two it automatically looks for save files from Season One. So if you have a PlayStation Vita format save file for Season One on your system, your choices will be imported into Season Two.

On the Vita too? Because once you delete a game on the Vita the saves are lost too, if you haven't backed them up in the cloud. So I just leave the game installed after finishing it and I'm good? Thanks so much for the answer!

I'm not a member of the Telltale staff (I'm just a volunteer moderator), so I can't make an official response to your question.
That said, I doubt it, since the builds are different, the game would probably look for a European or US save file rather than a Russian one.
