Give me season 3 Clem & Kenny! F***k the michonne timeline

That's what most people want, maybe not Clem and Kenny, but Clem and someone. The universe already created. Why branch into the TV show walking dead about michonne? I see enough of her already, she's alright. But what I, and other people want is the continuation of Clemintimes story. Not a money grab story

They're not branching into the TV show. The game is set in the comic universe which is separate to the TV show Universe. Michonne was a comic book character first. Check your facts before you rant.

  • That's too much work though! Easier to complain about something you don't know about and say that everyone has the same opinion as you.

  • Well first of all, no one even knows the exact amount of people who play/are fans of The Walking Dead Game, so how exactly do you know what most people want? Also this isn't branching onto the TV Show, this Michonne Mini-Series game takes place in the comic's timeline. You might see it as a money grab story but I see it as an answer to a question some Comic fans have been asking.

  • Hell yeah. Looking foward to Michonne game but definetly looking foward to season 3 more, especially if Kenny is involved. I would change my ending of Clementine being in Wellington if that is the case.

  • I would've preferred to get S3 instead but meh, I'll give Michonne a try

  • Settle petal

You might want to check out something called the false-consensus effect. Has to do with people thinking the majority agrees with them when they don't.

Also, can you please point out to me which stories/games/products, that are being sold, aren't money grabs? They're being sold, therefore they're hoping to earn money, even if it's more a labor of love. However, I'd like to correct your definition of a money grab, as people tend to apply it to video games. It essentially refers to products that are of a low quality and rushed out the door. (Also, why are products that people personally aren't interested in labelled as money grabs? That's really why you're calling it a money grab, because I bet you wouldn't say it if you were.)

Also, wouldn't it be more accurate to say that if they were more interested in money, they'd be pushing TWD S3 out of the door because they're guaranteed sales? I'm sure they're guaranteed sales for Michonne, but yeah . . . Also, they are working on TWD S3. They previously said that it's much larger, which would/could explain the extended development time.

  • That's what most people want

No that's what YOU want, learn the difference. Persoanlly, I'm very much looking forward to this game, it gives us something to do while Season 3 is being developed.

Why branch into the TV show walking dead about michonne?

They aren't, they are branching it with the comics, as the game is set in the comic universe, not the show's. It's not the first time they've done this, we've had Hershel and Glenn appear in the first episode of S1 and it even explained how Shawn died.

    Not a money grab story

This is going to explain a part of the comics history that has been a mystery for a long time, why Michonne left Rick and Ezekiel between Issues 126-139. It's not like they said "Michonne is cool, let's make something about her." This will actually serve a purpose in TWD canon, so it's not fair to call it a money grab,

    Give me season 3

Alright, you want S3, here it is, it's a sloppy, poorly written, unfinished mess, but since you want it so bad and can't be patient until Telltale finishes it, here you go, enjoy.

Gimme this, fuck your other work!

  • people like you don't deserve season 3

  • They are still making season three and you dont have to play Michonne, so what are you complaining about?

  • So they are making Season Three AND an additional mini-series and somehow that's a bad thing?

I'm all for any WD Telltale game of any capacity, whether it includes Clem or not.

  • I prefer they take their time with season 3 instead of having a rushed product and Michonne is a good idea if only for less waiting.

  • You do realize Telltale created Michonne as an extra game to ease the wait for Season 3, right? It wasn't Michonne at the cost of an earlier release for Season 3, it was Michonne at the cost of another Telltale series we could have had. Even if you don't personally like Michonne as a character, I personally think people should at least be aware Telltale is doing this to deliberately throw Walking Dead fans a bone and give them special treatment to ease the wait for Season 3.

  • Additionally, it's completely optional. It's not required for Season 3, but perhaps it might leave some hints. If you don't want to play, you don't have to.

  • I want them to not rush Season 3. I want them to take their time developing it so it doesn't turn out another season 2.

  • I want season 3 and more Clem too but we are gonna have to wait. I for one don't care at all about michonne and I'm ready for it to be done already so we can finally get some real news about season 3 but a lot of people are excited for it and want it. We have to be patient but I do believe we should get more news about season 3 we have nothing to go off other than there will be a season 3. I just want to know Clem's role!!

  • Im looking forward to Michonne but I would rather have them take their time than rush it and give a bad game

Dude, the mini series is already on it's way next month (I think) if they suddenly decide to scrap it that would just be a massive 'fuck you' to the fans who was looking forward to the game.

  • The Point of the mini series is to busy us until S3, since we haven't had a sexy TWD Game from telltale in a while.

  • They're giving us Comic Michonne, who is more badass. Not TV show Michonne, who is still really cool.

  • Considering how the user hasn't been back I'm guessing this was a bait thread by someone who knows full well that the walking dead games have always been separate from the tv show.

  • I'd rather Telltale take as long as they need in order to make season 3 the best it can be, Michonne is just to keep us occupied along the way plus I'm pretty sure it interests a ton of people.

  • You know? Threads like this make me lose faith in humanity.

  • [lays down on train tracks] please, not Kenny again. I can't take it.

I know I've not been thrilled about Michonne, but it's happening. I'll judge it when all the episodes are out, but until then we should give it a chance. If Telltale need more time on Season 3 and this is the best on offer to do with the TWD, then leave them to it. Those guys get overworked as it is.

  • Remember when Finn's arm got ripped off? Oh lawd I never thought cartoon network would show amputations

  • Actually after watching the trailer I'm looking forward to a game without Clem

Likely, considering their previous post before this thread was back in September of last year. And their second to last post before this thread was great.

Personally I'm hoping he's cut from season three completely. Given the fact that we have 2 different ways to say goodbye to him in season one and something like 5 different ways to end his story in season two, I feel that he's had plenty good enough send-offs for his character that his fans should be happy with it. I especially hate the fact that he gets more endings to his story than Lee did, and at this point I believe Kenny's the character with the second most screentime, when he frankly doesn't deserve that title.

Though of course I know (if they do continue Clem's story in s3) Telltale cutting Kenny completely from season 3 will probably not happen, I can still dreammmm. ;)
