  • Another example, Tokyo ghoul season 1. Amazing manga adaption. Season 2... not so much... so much so that they probably wont and cant do a season 3.

But then again if you watch it without any knowledge of the manga its actually good.

have to say I sort of expected that; I tried the anime out and I gotta say it's horrible compared to the manga. which... isn't that rare for anime adaptations lol

  • agreed, season 2 was a mess if you've read the manga. I really pitied Touka a lot more there because of Kaneki's senseless decisions.

  • Yeah it would like mess up the Quinx/Haise Sasaki arc. But she still likes and cares for Kaneki, evident to the end or ROOT A when she's watching him go to Arima.

But even if ROOT A was amazing or worse, I still want season 3 for this beauty animated

Also KANEKI JOINED AOGIRI, LIKE COME ON WRITERS, HE HATES THEM. In the manga he get's stronger by creating his own group. Not joining that ghoul cult shitfest of nutcases

  • Touka is literally the only reason I want Season 3. that character design is beyond flawless.
I'm pretty sure Touka loves him at this point, to be honest.

him joining aogiri is exactly what I meant. that was the worst decision they could have taken. just why.

  • Also Haise is one of my favourites, and Mutsuki who is my avatar. Would be nice to see it animated but if not it won't change the fact I love the manga

I'm very curious about Mutsuki after those... revelations. Very intriguing character!

That whole Torso deal was fucked up.

  • I've honestly never used netflix. I have a PS3 for online rentals, which incorporates netflix and it's own system to boot. shrugs

Glad to see someone else use the words "Gundam" or "Macross." I thought I was the only one here.

    That being said.

Kill La Kill (trust me, you will love it)

Well, here I am, up late, on Christmas day. I happened to actually be surprised from what i just noticed on TV, watching Toonami (Adult Swim, dunno why they renamed their anime line up toonami, I guess for nostalgia but), I was literally surprised to see this commercial. Enough it made me smile.

Now the question is. Will it be the OVA, or the TV version. Wish they'd chose better background music though. First Gundam OVA series to hit American TV I think since like what.... 2002? lol

  • Recently I finished watching Baccano! and it was so good. Story was interesting, a bit confusing at first, but great nontheless and there were some amazing, well written characters. My personal favourites are Isaac and Miria. They're the best anime couple that I've ever seen. I highly recommend watching it.

  • I really need to get around to watching it. I normally enjoy anime based around the turn of the century, either a few decades before or after.

  • Question for you all: What's your favourite anime?
    Mine's Cory in the House

  • I would have to say Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory. Though the animation is dated today. Visually it often reminds me of Cowboy Bebop, but years older. I sometimes wonder how much of Sunrise's animation staff worked on both being they looked so similar. Gundam 0083 I think easily has to be Gundam's most militaristic entry. The battles were great, animation a bit dated at times, but rarely really hurt it.

What I loved about it though, the antagonist were Badasses. First episode for example they attack a base with only hand full of machines, and literally made the protagonist look like amateurs, being most of them were. You didn't know who would survive the next episode, and they reminded you of that fact very early on with a lot of what seemed to be characters on both sides that would play a big role being bumped off within the first two episodes.

I think it's also the first anime in which I switched sides on as well. Early on the antagonist looked like idealistic fools.... well later on they were still idealistic fools, but at least you got to know them as time went on in the animation, and it was very hard not to sympathize with them, I honestly wanted the antagonist to win in the end.

English dubs were surprisingly well.. then again it was early 2000's Sunrise Dubs. Back when Bandai Entertainment did all the dubbing for Western releases of Sunrise productions, I think it was almost up there with Cowboy Bebop when it comes to quality of the English Dubs. Then again, I think a lot of Sunrise's most prized anime, Bandai Entertainment took very seriously when dubbing Sunrise's prized anime during the late 90s and early 2000s.

Still my favorite Cartoon Network Adult Swim commercial to be honest. lol

Blue Exorcist is back! First episode was a good one to start off with! Seeing as quite a bit of season 1 was filler, I can see people getting confused. Basically this is continuing straight after Rin's fight with Amaimon, and the orders decision to leave Rin alive and use him as a weapon against Satan and other Devils. Basically continues after Season 1 Episode 17.

    enter image description here

Everyone including Shiemi is still finding it hard to take in the Rin is the son of Satan. Suguro (aka Bon) is one who dislikes and distrusts Rin the most out of everyone and blames him for the deaths at his temple and also that of his class mates families deaths too.

This season is the Kyoto saga - this one is the Kyoto Impure King arc

I loved this moment haha! Eyebrows

@MarijaaNo7 I'm 3 episodes in haha! Loving it, and Kazuma is voiced by the guy who plays Manabe from Kotoura-san!

Saying that you should defintely watch that anime :)

And Sora Amamiya (Aqua) voices TOUKA KIRISHIMA !!!!! :o

  • Is anyone else here waiting for the new Kuroshitsuji movie? The trailer looks really good.

  • So who's your favoruite (a tough question I know)? :D I haven't yet decided whether it's Aqua or Darkness.

It's a shame that I have no idea about those voice actors, I never bother to learn their names except for Johnny Yong Bosch.
